Kiet notices, as before, that some offers of help are missing.

"Fremea!  Mae!  How about you two also participate!  Out with it.  What do you know that can help the group out?  And about how strong?  All of us others so far have offered to endanger ourselves for the benefit of all the others.  Except you two.  Now, damn the secrets!  Speak up!"

He stops for a moment then turns.  Looking at Mae he raises an eyebrow and says "Your secrets already seem to be damned."  There is no hint of a smile on his face.
