         GM: Ack. A simple plan I'll do a more detailed one below
             for approval if I were leader.  Since this generic one
             doesn't help handle the rolls.

           OOC:   Before I post Arawn's Dispel abilities and relative
           strength, how are strength levels (Low, Decent, Journeyman,
           Expert, and such) being determined?
         GM: Ack.  Yeah no need to post ELs per se if don't want to do
             a relative 0-20 system can be figured out regardless.

            crystal chalice right now but if he doesn't he'll ask the
            party members if they have one available or else attempt to
            craft one using the Cyrx. - He slipped his pack loose,
            digging around before procuring a crystal chalice (or create
            one with the Cryx if he or another party member doesn't have
            one)'.]

            Setting it down next to his waterskin he then reached for the
            torc around his neck, one end holding a glittering topaz.

            The golden stone swished through water held in the chalice,
            glowing oddly in the tunnel light. Within seconds he presented
            the chalice to Z'leyra.

            "Give this a try."
         GM: Ack. As explained in 3 old updates the abysmal has nothing
             to do with spell chances or anything other than smelling
             bad stuff.  Its like sneezing during a spell casting it
             has nothing to do with anything.  As to chalice no didn't
             bring the gear as posted awhile back for it.  As to using
             the Cryx might be bad using magic to craft a item to dispel
             magic. A sub of a sub item?  Its like using glue when needing
             a duct tape. :)  Just might be a bad result.  If had taken
             chalice it'd probably be destroyed by the quake and teleport
             and if not by the shifters when gear removed form bodies.
             So no chalice.  :<

           When his chances of using Supernatural Languages to boost
           a dispel spell are 40%+ then Arawn will attempt to use them
           when Dispelling. Arawn will also keep an eye out for runes
           and such, deciphering for the party when needed.
         GM: Ack.  So when 40%?  Kind of hard to figure out as a player.
             So will assume use SLs all the time.    I know one can argue
             if you read the strength and could wage the odds yes.  Then
             maybe.  But to know difference between 30 and 40 and 50 %
             is hard to figure out.  That's the beauty of role playing
             not dice rolling. :)

           The relative strengths should be role played.  Maybe your
           character is just too humble to 'brag' that his power/experience
           level so he says 'low'...or maybe just the opposite.

           It only adds to the game.
         GM: Ack.  I 100% agree.  For game purposes it should be more
             OOC.  But for my sanity to save from doing 40 or more updates
             to resolve all this I rather do it in 1-2 updates.  So
             want to know what folks have (I already know but its good
             to know openly) and what they will do for what.  So for
             the GM rolls then this is why.  My plan was to give folks
             not just one person the chance to do magic and gain experience.
             So much times its just 1-2 people and rarely get chance to
             improve such magics as banishment.  So its just a chance
             for experience.

         GM: Ack. Good point on the SLs if gods are not directly linked
             here then it might be waste of time.

           [Time: 5:01 pm]

           [Z'leyra mentions her abysmal.]

             "Miscast magic?," Arawn queried, addressing Z'leyra. "A magical
           backfire then. Before we attempt to remove it through our own
           efforts let's see if we have the tools to address this."

             But then the day's events come to him and he realizes he does
           not have the chalice.

             Z'layha snickers, "the great Z'leyra failed a spell?  Really
           sister?"  She grins.


           [Once the future wards are known.]

             "Okay", Z'leyra says, "Those who can sense magic will please
           tell us where the wards are when we get close. We have three of
           use that have studied how to dispel or banish. If anyone else
           has, please speak up. For now we have whichever caster is doing
           the dispel take my luck ring to help in the casting and cast
           thru my staff. Z'layha, could you do the balance and shamanic
           wards? Kiet, could you do the law wards? I will attempt to do
           the rest. You may draw upon the battery in the staff if you
           need the mana. I will draw upon my other batteries."

             "Everyone ready to proceed?" Z'leyra asks, "Then Onwards!"

             "Do not forget the power of the True Tongues, Supernatural
           Languages," Arawn advised. "Such knowledge holds great power in
           dispellng the forces associated with them."

             "I have knowledge of various rites of banishment and
           dispeling of magics," Arawn informed the party. "They're not
           a specialty but I can cover a wide range if need be."

             "Beyond that and abilities to sense and read magical auras I
           may have other spell that can prove useful if needed, the
           Eternal Eye or Negate Magic spells, for example. And if things
           prove extra challenging we may be able to improve one's chances
           through Purification and Luck spells."

             "Ah good!" Z'leyra says. "Assuming that green means to you
           as a nature type that you are good at it. If so, Arawn can
           handle the Neutral, Balance, Sidh, Kotothi and Law wards. Sorry
           Kiet, but we need the most skilled if possible....Uh, Arawn if
           green means that you just barely know the basics then let us
           have you only do the Sidh and Neutral wards. Kiet do the law
           wards, Z'layha does the Shamanic and Balance, and I do the
           Chaos, Elder and Kotothi."

             "In any case I have this ring enchanted to give luck to the
           wearer. This should be worn by the caster. They should also
           cast through my staff as it will provide a substantial
           improvement in the odds of the spell succeeding, well worth
           the extra mana cost. I also have a battery or two that can
           provide mana, perhaps for every second casting till we run
           low, then for every casting...till the batteries run out."

             "Using Supernatural language will help IF you are skilled
           at it. Not so much if you aren't. I doubt that it is worth
           doing purification spells as we are somewhat cut off from
           help and the mana used may be needed for the wards...there
           are a LOT of wards we will need to defeat."

             "Onwards!"

             Unali digs in her bags before the party moves on.

             Unali will dig in her Bag and produce a simple bronze wand
           and say "This should be able to deal with medium to high level
           Law wards twice a day I understand. Hopefully it will aid one
           of you in casting."

           Next Update....Saturday...

           GM: A simple update for now.  I will post Z's plan and
               alternatives since it'd be a bit more detailed for
               plan making for approval.  Let me know personally
               for those who are casting the spells if you approve
               and for which plan and if using any aids and as
               mentioned before any recastings.

               So three casters Arawn, Z'leyra and Kiet (Z'layha is npc
               so will agree with plan 3) let me know which plan you
               agree or not agree and we'll go from there.  As soon
               as I hear from all 3 I will do the rolls based on the
               data/aides to use I have.  Will not make rolls until
               all 3 confirm/deny.  There may be others who have spell
               abilities but are not speaking up so this is what we
               go from here.  Plan 2 and 3 are not meant to sway things
               but just alternatives.  Plan 2 is very similar to the one
               posted.  Plan 3 though gives a bit more round robin for
               terms of experience.  If you don't want to do all X listed
               then let me know.  I'm just figuring it out for rolls and
               experience.  Else if plan 3 is not done then using plan 1
               will take all rolls for that said person.  Making more 
experience
               for that one person.
