     [Recap]

        From Raban: [Re: Actions]
<Pretty brave bandits, they are still trying to capture for
ransoms? Well that is good for us and bad for them.
<Raban is doing fine, though he is not keeping bandits from the
wagon very well, just too many of them
<If he has noticed the ones getting inside then he should do
something about it when he has a chance
<It could be a bad thing to pull a bandit out a window or door
          if another limb gets caught...
GM: Ack. You're doing a good job.

        From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
OOC: Frustrating that the advance scouting did nothing to help.
Just for future note, if another huge group of heavily armed men
move past him toward the wagon, he'll move back to alert the
          wagon...

Ben'Dar will grab his bow and shoot down the fleeing monk. Then
he'll whistle to Kell's horse so it comes back and he'll hitch a
ride with Kell back to the wagon, with Tef'wo following slowly
          alone.
GM: Ack. I know its frustrating. But at that point it was just
another group of peasants going by. As the hundreds of others
that passed that day (maybe thousands). It would be like
you driving by any car today nothing out of the ordinary. But
I know now fool me once fool me twice won't work. So I know
even an old lady passing by you'll have your spear in hand. :)
This is why I had asked distance from wagon.

        From Kell: [Re; Actions]
Kell will not throw the spear at the bandit on his horse, there
is too high a chance to hit the horse.

He will start jogging towards his horse, if the bandit falls
he'll attack the bandit, then they'll both ride his horse to the
          wagon.
        GM: Ack.

     [New Stuff]

         [Julis 8th, 1634TH]
         [Location: Jiuquo, Katai]
[Location: 14 miles west of Jinquo]
         [Weather: Partly Cloudy, Temperature: 66-83]

         [Time: 5:08:09pm]

Kell pulls back on his spear to throw at the bandit who stole
his own horse. But then he realizes the horse could be hurt.
He lowers the spear and sighs in frustration. At least his
         horse won't be hurt.

Ben'dar on the other hand doesn't have a big rod to kill
a horse he has a small pin point arrow. He grabs his quiver
and shoulders it and then his bow off Tef'wo. Coming along
side Kell, Ben'dar finishes loading his bow and aims at the
fleeing bandit on the horse. Kell glances wide eyed at the
barbarian who could hurt his horse. Already the range is medium
and a difficult shot. The arrow flies toward the man and passes
him on the right shoulder by a foot to land onto the road to
be recovered later. Ben'dar curses at his luck.

At the same time Arawn tried to aim for a target but the
monk near Z'leyra's horse is too close to it. He glances
about for other targets He could aim for those near the
right wagon door but if it just went slightly off course
it could hit the unconscious Z'leyra. He lowers his bow
         due to no target.

While Arawn has no target, Strie'bog has a better angle to
monk #9 near Z'leyra's horse. Just enough room to get a good
shot off. No other target is better. He raises his loaded
long bow and fires at monk #9. The arrow hits the monk
in the right center chest through his ribs and piercing his
right lung. Before the man registers the damage he falls
         down dead.

Whitney glances around for the scene in the blinking of an
eye he sees engaged targets. He sees Chion surrounded and
knows once the big man falls he will suddenly have six likely
on him and it won't be long after that. Then Whitney notices
the three men near the right side of the wagon. He grins
and sees the range is point blank. He loads his bow and
leans over the side and without even barely aiming fires. There
is slim chance of an arrow entering the wagon at this angle.
The arrow flies and hits monk #21 in the left center ribs and
does the final damage to kill the already wounded man. He
         falls to the ground dead.

Tef'wo comes along side Ben'dar and rubs his head on Ben'dar.
Then he nudges Ben'dar behind him and aligns his back to Ben'dar.
Ben'dar looks at Tef'wo who glances back with knowing eyes.
Ben'dar looks down to the road to see a small trail of blood
from Tef'wo's front hooves. Ben'dar pats the good horse but
that just makes him grunt. Tef'wo side steps into Ben'dar.
Ben'dar then realizes he wants to be mounted and rode. Ben'dar
is concerned about the damage it could do. But then his memory
goes back to the plains. He has seen horses like Tef'wo rode
through fire, briar patches and with severely cut bodies or
even small wounds. The bond between horse and rider on the
plains is not just symbolic but more direct. When the horse
fails the rider fails and both fail. To the horse they also
have reason to win. Ben'dar gets the hint and know it will pain
the horse but Tef'wo doesn't want to fail and at the very least
doesn't want to hop into the area at the end of the combat.
Ben'dar glances over to speak a negative response to Tef'wo
but Tef'wo grunts again and doesn't want no for an answer. Ben'dar
smiles and then mounts up. Tef'wo slowly walks the horse forward
and measures his limp but its very light. Ben'dar reaches down
to Kell and hauls him up behind him in the crowded saddle and
saddle bags. A bit uncomfortable for Kell but at least he can
get back to the wagon faster. Before Kell can shift in the
saddle behind Ben'dar, Tef'wo heads after Kell's horse fast.

Z'leya's horse moves away from the dead monk.

Arawn knowing there is no good targets grabs the rein of
the horse and moves it toward the wagon. He moves near the
dead monk Strie'bog just killed and as he does he places
his big bow back onto the horse.

Raban sees only one more target for him monk #16. Reaching
out to break the arm of the monk or to yank him forward for
a head butt, Raban jerks the man's right arm. But instead
of a light jerk the force of the attack is so strong it
rips the right arm immediately out of his socket. wet tissue
and blood splatters in the monk's tunic and drips down the
man's arm. The monk screams as loud as he ever has before.
The arm isn't torn off but it is torn from its socket and
tissue destroyed in the process. The shock and awe of the
damage is 4 times the amount the monk can take. Before the
giant realizes what he did the man dies in his arms before
he can let go. Raban is even surprised by his own strength
or the luck his goddess gave him just then.

Unali sensing that things are going good on this side of
the road after hearing Raban do something decides to fight
with both daggers. She swings both at monk #14 next to the
wagon and just below the driver's left seat. The first
magical dagger fails to hit the man. But the second dagger hits
him in the left arm slicing a deep gash but the man remains
         standing.

Farseeker knows both of his targets are already wounded. But
he decides to thrust at the most wounded, Monk #10. The
great sword pierces the man in the upper right chest just
above his heart and below his shoulder doing the final damage
         to kill the monk.

To further confuse, he hopes, his six enemies around him Chion
twirls around again and this time thrusts sword at Monk #19
and hits him in the upper right chest doing a minor wound.

Shu thrusts her dagger again outside the right forward
window in hopes to hit the monk there but fails to hit him.

Monk #12 on the wagon who just knocked out Z'leyra hears the
other monk scream. He glances over his right shoulder and
then stands and hops off the wagon. Landing deftly he raises
his sword and charges Raban going to his left flank. The sword
pierces into his left side and does for Raban a minor wound.

Kiet thrusts his dagger at Monk #7 in front of him and hits
in the lower left chest doing a moderate wound. But after two
such wounds the man remains standing.

Monk #26 swings at Will again but the sword slaps into
         Will's shield and doesn't penetrate.

Will swings his own sword back at Monk #26 and the sword
slice at his head slicing a chunk of his top skull off and
doing the final damage to kill the man.

Monk #15 slowly thrusts his sword into the window Shu just
tried to attack him through back at her. The sword narrowly
         misses her shoulder.

Monk #7 swings his sword back at Kiet but the acrobat is able
to dodge away just in time.

Monk #11 crouches through the door and decides enough is enough.
He enters the wagon and thrusts his sword at Shu but fails to
         hit the small dark lander.

Monk #29 sees his chance and brings his sword up and down onto
Chion's back kidney and hits doing a minor wound. But this
with his other wounds and subdual buildup does the final damage
         and knocks Chion out.

Monk #8 sees Chion go down and turns. He decides if Farseker
or that lone guy on the wagon is worthy. Seeing as Farseeker
is engaged he decides on Whitney and charges. He thrusts his
sword but the wild swing misses.

Monk #17 joins his buddy and charges Whitney and thrusts his
sword at the man. The sword flat side hits Whitney in the
right shoulder and does minor damage.

Monk #23 also joins the other 2 and charges Whitney. He swings
at the man but fails to connect a blow.

Monk #28 thrusts at Farseeker's chest and hits in the upper
right area doing a minor wound.

Monk #27 heads toward the wagon's right side.

Monk #24 thrusts at Will but fails to strike.

The very inexperienced bandit #14 swings on Unali but fails
to even come close to her.

Whitney decides its time for melee and throws his bow onto
the sacks on the roof. He starts to reach for his weapon and
         shield.

Zhou resigns that something has to be done. Avoiding blood
in the wagon is likely impossible now. Grabbing his dagger
he lunges at Monk #11 now inside the wagon and stabs the
man in the right arm doing a severe wound.

Fremea drops her bow onto the couch beside her and immediately
goes into a martial arts stance. When Zhou stabs the man he
winces in pain and she acts at that point. Thrusting forward
with her right hand she tries to stab upwards at the man's eyes
but the blow lands low in his right lower chest when his arm
moves downward blocking her blow. But even the light blow does
the final damage to kill the man. He falls to the floor of the
wagon. As the body falls, Fremea yells "Raban!"

         [Time: 5:08:12pm]

Tef'wo chases after Kell's horse and starts to close the
         distance between them.

Strie'bog rides toward the wagon a bit and dismounts while he
         draws his axe.

Raban hears Fremea yell and becomes immediately worried. But
now that some fool has wounded him he is now angry. He swings
at monk #12 but fails to make contact in his haste.

Unali swings both daggers at the inexperienced monk #14
and hits with both. But it only takes the first dagger to
         finish the man off.

Farseeker thrusts at Monk #28 and slams hard down in his
right shoulder doing a good wound enough to kill the man.

Arawn dismounts and as he does grabs his elven buckler off
his horse. Hearing Fremea yell he charges the wagon while
taking a unarmed combat martial arts stance. As he reaches
the only one left against that side of the wagon -Monk #15
he kicks the man and hits with his shield. The combined
blow does enough damage to throw the man against the side
of the wagon and instantly knock him out.

Shu reaches down and pulls the dead man's head up lying
on the wagon floor. Using her other hand she grabs his shoulder
and slides him toward the door to block others from entering.
her strength is not as great so the body only moves a foot or
two and blocks the door for now.

Monk #12 thrusts at Raban but the blade only slices a thin
hole in his shirt missing very close.

Kiet swings at Monk #7 but fails to hit him.

Will turns to Monk #24 and thrusts at him slicing a deep
but minor wound in his right shoulder.

Monk #7 thrusts back at Kiet but fails to him the acrobat.

Strie'bog with axe now in hand and dismounted rushes over to
join Kiet. He swings his axe and the blade hits deep into the
left back kidney area doing massive damage. This with Kiet's
damage to the man kills him.

Monk #29 leaves the area where Chion lays and charges Farseeker.
With sword stabbing at Farseeker's back the blow is good but
his armor protects against the backstab.

Monk #8 swings at Whitney and hits with the flat end of the
sword at his neck doing a minor wound but the blow to knock
out fails though Whitney does feel woozy.

Monk #17 swings at Whitney but fails to hit.

Monk #23 also swings at Whitney but fails to hit.

Monk #27 diverts from his course to the wagon to charge Arawn.
He thrusts his sword at the unarmed man. The sword barely
bypasses his buckler and does a minor wound to his right arm.

Monk #24 thrusts at Will but misses by a good foot.

Monk #19 charges Farseeker but his attack goes wild and misses.

Now with axe and buckler in hand Whitney turns and swings his
axe down at Monk #23 but fails to hit.

Zhou crosses over to the left side of the wagon to peer outside
now that the inside is safe. He looks out for the first time to
         see what is going on.

Safe inside Fremea grabs her bow and heads to the right side
of the wagon. There the body of the man she killed blocks the
door but for her size it isn't a problem. Out the window she
can see Arawn fighting one man nearby.

         Actions? Comments?

         Next Update...Friday...

GM: First phase took about 2.5 hours and second a lot faster since
less alive to move around. So I will likely work a bit on
the update Wednesday night late and rest Thursday.

GM: Initially was rushed as hadn't even updated website till
tonight (busy weekend). So hope all is good. I did goof
up #19/#26 I believe a bit but fixed it (I hope). Will
double check things for next update to ensure no ghost
monks exists but looks good for now.

GM: Though some in the party are knocked out the tide has
changed. Though Whitney is in danger of being next knocked out.

Arawn - When you finish off the one nearby will assume you
                     go to help Whitney.

             Ben'dar - I hope I assumed right in that you'd ride Tef'wo.
Its one of those "wild barbarian" things the
Zen'da might do personality wise. You could
always stop though if you want to. If you want
to try to fire again from horseback Kell can try
to take the reigns and you fire again?
Kell's horse is at this point 75 feet ahead of you.
Tef'wo is faster and will gain 10 feet each phase.
I did the math and it will take 5 phases to catch
up and surpass Kell's slower horse if at full run.
At that point Kell can take him out by spear or
you can attack him (though melee you move first).
So wish to keep firing or just catch up and go
hand to hand? After 5 phases you'll be about 2,000
feet from the wagon so it will take some time to
get back to the wagon (few turns and combat might
                       be over by then).

Fremea - Do you wish to exit the wagon? Wasn't sure. Stay
                      with bow or martial arts/dagger?

Kell - Same notes as Ben'dar above.

Kiet - the man in front of you killed by Strie'bog.
You can go around to the right side to help
Arawn, Back to help Raban/Will or to the far
                    rear and help Whitney/Farseeker.

Raban - That arm thing was a deadly hit. I rolled a 1 and
with your EL it was a massive strike. :)

Unali - Will move Unali to help Whitney.

Will - Once monk there is killed by you will help Whitney
                     I assume.

Z'leyra - Dream of those nice cookies you won't send me! :)
