tulwar and prepares to fight. He will

[Ma 9th, 1636TH]
[Time: 1:59 pm]
"Farewell, Lady Asaria," Arawn called
out. "I shall not forget your kindness and hope
to repay your hospitality someday. But I fear our
path will take us into the Pale against your advice.
I wonder who 'He' is that moved in there and
what to expect but if we face him let us hope
that we shall be victorious. Then, perhaps, your
forest shall know peace again for some time.
And if you would have it, I would

battle," he offered. "Either way, may you and
yours be safe. Find us if you've need of healing after."
[Time: 2:26 pm]
When the remains of the Bes warrior
were discovered he examined the body and the area
trying to discover what he could of the incident.
With this done he looked over the poor warrior and then to King Strata.
"I'm sorry for your loss," the alfar
said consolingly. "I know time is short and a
proper burial too lengthy. But if it pleases you,
we should gather stones and such to cover him and make a cairn in his honor."
The King frowns, “he was a good
tracker. If he engaged which was outside my
direct orders..he had to have a good
reason.... Or he was attacked.” He sees Pyan
pick up a trail. “This wound is a clean slice
with a good sword. We can tell the quality of
blades and such like this by this type of
damage.” He sees Pyan waving party forward to
follow a trail and hopes he can find the
killer. “I'll have one of these “ he glances at
his bodyguards, “carry it back to the cave. It
can be buried there. Or if we figure a way back
we can get him then. To then let's follow that
silly human who just licked a leaf that looked to
have blood on it. Hunters are crazy folks.”
[Time: 2:30:55 pm]
Unali readies her weapons in a
defensive stance. She immediately speaks
up: "Ambush. What kind of illusion is all this." in Marentian, followed
by "Who are you?"louder and in Elf Sidh.
All the while she looks if she can discern the eyes of the attacking
females.
The nude woman ex wolf does a series
of hand signals. Arawn notices her intention is
clear. As she glances around he glances to her
right and at the ground as if to see something
hidden from view by a bush. Arawn can read her
expressions well. Surprise. Shock. Then
something that may be related to lust. Not lust
to a person but ambition. She seems to change
hand signals and speaks in L'p'nth 3 words which
no one understands. Then she nods and claps her hands and
Dorhak draws his short sword, and
says in Marentian "Nobody start anything." He
will prepare for battle with sword and shield.
[Time: 2:30:00 pm]
[Phase 1]
Females all around the party start to
speak and gesture. Rather 4 of the 6 or so
groups are active. It seems the speaking and
gesturing is from the center female in each
group. Female #3, nude female, #5 and finally female C does this.
Spells are sent out. Female #3 and
#C throw dark lightning at targets. The bolt
flies toward their targets Kiet and Z'leyra. The
dark bolt of electrical energy is seen barely in
the shadow of the dim light. The bolt that hits
Kiet circles around him and dissolves against his
magical defense. But the energy that hits
Z'leyra strikes her bad and she takes 5 points of damage.
The nude female has only 4 targets
due to range. She points at Opus and casts her
spell. But it fails and he feels no ill effects.
Witch #5 points to Mournath and
completes her spell. The sailor drops his sword
and clutches his throat. He begins to choke and
gag as gurgling noises is heard from him by those nearby.
Unali glances at Dorhak showing they
have taken first blood and all bets are off. She
draws her daggers and remains in a battle stance.
After watching the nude female, Arawn
grabs his bow and holds it. He abides by Dorhaks
request not to attack first. He shifts his
quiver and opens the sleeve to his special arrows.
Tsia grabs her dagger and looks
around. The nude female is nice to look but even
she can tell under the surface is the embers of
hate. What are L'p'nth if he got the word correct witches?
Kiet draws his tulwar and ensures his
shield. He sees Mournath choking and grunts to
see if he can get Arawn's attention.
Mournath falls to his knees and his eyes water.
Pyan grabs his bow and readies to fire a few shots off.
With helm on her head and shield on
her arm Z'leyra looks around as she draws her
sword and prepares to defend her companions. She
will tell those around her "Lets form a circle
and face outwards." Then the dark lightning hits
here and the pain racks her body. She is amazed
her defense failed. But then she recalls her
necklace was left on ship. Then she hears and sees Mournath fall to his knees.
Opus draws his battle axe and prepares
to defend himself and Kimis or deflect any
magical energy he may sense. In his mind flashes
many circumstances that would cause a person to
just well dissolve. He motion to Kimis to walk
back around the shaft back to find the group and
quickly advise them of this horrid event and what
the group plans are. He then follows her walking
backwards keeping his eyes looking around him to look for any eminent danger.
That was the plan at least. Hearing
Dorhak's orders translated he sees the females
seem to cast magic and hurt two in the party. So
Opus is unsure if its wise to move and be a target.
Raddok's curiosity & interest in what
he was seeing around the mysterious silo did not
stop him from seeing what was further away – it
all seemed to tell a story, but he wasn't yet
sure what. But just after he spots the wolf &
sees it change into a woman, he sees other human
forms emerging into the cleared area. All seem to
be female & ready with daggers or blades. Raddok
quickly prepares to defend himself, lifting
shield into place & drawing his mace, but he does
not attack. He gives a loud hiss to get others'
attention & waits to see what these women plan to
do. Are they a part of the silo's reason for being here? What does it mean?
He hopes that he need only defend
himself & that they will not attack, so will use
shield for defense & keep mace ready to block any
strikes, but if he feels truly threatened, he
will use the mace. He will not use the ring
unless odds seem too high. This is not his land;
he is only here due to circumstances beyond the
party's control, & would rather be considered a visitor, not an enemy.
He translates anything he hears to the group, as usual.
The King stares at the new females on
scene. He hears Raddok say something about do
nothing by Dorhak. He grips his spear and spear
ready for action. He would prefer not to kill
but whoever killed his ally may need to be punished.
Kimis glares at Opus and nudges him
not to look at the nude female and stop
staring. Kimis then draws her own
battleaxe. When spells are cast she does not
move. It would be bad to flee and be shot from
behind. She does one final glance at her feet at
the ash. If these females did this she may not
be able to defend herself. Whoever this was just
bits of clothes are left not even a toe nail it seems.
The females all stand tall and ready
daggers. Those not casting spells remain ready to
act once given the orders. They dress in the
green, brown and light tans of the forest to
blend in. The clothing is loose fitting and
sleeves are loose and easy for fast movement. IT
looks like they may be wearing quilted or some form of leather armor?
The Bes bodyguards read their spears
following the orders of the King. They seem
oblivious to the nude female why is she so flat
stomached unlike a Bes female?!?
Dorhak activates his sword and senses
mana all around, not just the party. The nude
female and at least 1 female in each group Dorhak
can sense great deal of mana. With Unali's words
this seems to confirm they are witches. He is
not a magic user so understanding this info is a
bit confusing. He can also from the silo it had
some form of illusion to it. But the other
females a very light sense of mana is
detected. They must be low level or non magic users?
Barbosa readies his shield and mace
eager to show himself his worth to this party.
Always eager to prove his standing in his tribe.
[Time: 2:30:04 pm]
[Phase 2]
Arawn loads his bow with his special
arrow and fires at the naked female. All of them
are at long range 50-70 feet away. But he feels
she is the key and fires at 70 feet. But the
arrow goes wild and files past her.
Pyan, a bit closer than Arawn, fires
on the nude female as well but his arrow goes wild and he misses as well.
Z'leyra takes another 5 points of
damage from the dark lightning that encircles her body.
Mournath continues to choke and takes more damage to the spell.
Kiet activates his earth strength
spell on his shield. He feels invigorated by the strength of the earth.
Unali, Tsia and Kiet wait for the
enemy to charge. Going 1 vs 3 is a bad idea
until the group as a whole help to support.
Z'leyra cringes under the pain for now.
Opus starts to move back but sees the
females preparing to charge. When Kimis stands her ground he waits.
The King hates this waiting so
charges to the east toward the group of three near the party.
Kimis also with battle axe in hand
charges the female son the west side.
Now the females charge toward the party.
Female #2, 3 and 4 charge south
toward Opus. Three female to the left of nude
female moves south toward Pyan, Raddok and the King (#8, 9 and a).
Female 5, 6 and 7 charge toward Kiet
and Mournath. Female #6 thrusts at Kiet just as
he turns around to face her. Her dagger hits him
in the left shoulder doing 6 points of damage. He
flinches at the pain but knows he'll regenerate.
Female #7 strikes at the defenseless Mournath and
hits him in upper left chest doing 2 points with her dagger.
Female #11, 12 and 13 move north toward Dorhak.
Female #14 and 15 charge Kimis. They
both try to slash with daggers but both miss as
she dodges and weaves. Female #16 moves along
with her allies but does not engage but moves toward Barbosa.
Females 17-19 charge the
King. Female #17 and #18 strike at the King but fail to make contact.
The nude female bends down and
gathers up some weapons but remains in place.
The two Bes bodyguards charge to help
the King. Bes #1 ( C) strikes at #18 and Bes #2
(D) strikes at #19. Bes #1 hits #18 doing 5
points and #2 hits #19 doing 1 point with both
spears hitting the females in left middle chest.
Dorhak sees Chaos fall around him as
any order is lost. He sees one female #7 attack
a defenseless Mournath. He charges to help the
sailor and thrusts his sword at the small female
and the sword slips from his hand! He fumbles and
the sword falls to his feet. He grumbles and hopes no one saw it!
Barbosa moves to help Kimis he swings
his mace at #15 but fails to hit.
GM: Actions? Comments
Next update...Tue/Wed?
GM: Whew. Lots of logistics. This was
rather hard as the command for hold back
disrupted some actions. It is critical to help Z
and Mournath. If Archers can still fire (Arawn,
Pyan) will assume one more try unless you state
otherwise. Will do 2 more phases. Those who did
not get action in there will be plenty next
update. You can pick targets or I'll select or
randomize it. Since this is out Sunday a update
Mon is too soon. So probably Wed is best? If
not used to combat most folks move 3 hexes per
phase. If map messes up it seems to be fine on
website since emails mess up the maps by tabs.
