Raddok, having finally gotten his act together after the sudden awakening from a very pleasant dream, has fitted his armor & weapons (mace & shield) & reaches the hallway to the deck just behind Dorhak, still trying to get the sleep from his eyes, altho the alarming noise on deck is waking him up fast.

Upon reaching the deck, he quickly tries to see if there's any danger from any direction other than the one everyone is heading for (a large, writhing mass mid-ship, silhouetted by lantern light). See nothing, and cursing the darkness, he heads for the center of the mass - some kind of monster he assumes, & sees what appears to him to be a legendary sea monster, dragon-like in size, a nightmare from childhood stories.

He hesitates only for a moment, choosing his target - his mace isn't going to harm the thing much, but wishing for his great sword being a waste of time, he runs as close as he can, with the others also reaching the monster, and decides to aim for both what appears to be a rear fin-like foot, and the giant belly above it. He hopes he's out of reach of the swinging tail, but hopes to give the wall of scales in front of him a big pain in its fat stomach, and swings his mace first at the large foot, takes a small step back & swings into its large lower belly, watching both for the swinging tail or a quick twisting of the monster's foot. His shield is ready to block a blow if the thing twists his head back toward him, or the foot lifts above him. His next actions wait upon the creature's response, but unknown to himself, he's now grinning fiercely, as though daring the thing in front of him to fight.
