[pnpgm] Update #23 – Varo

Varo is gathered with the others at the door when Jaren breaks open the door. She is tending to be behind the others, but she’s tall enough to see that there’s 3 trolls, not 2. 

“Why didn’t that one show up?” she asks, as she looks at the seated one swallowing something. “Is that a potion?” she asks, louder, so the others hear. “Is he a mage of some kind, or a leader?” She grasps a javelin in her left hand & her rapier in her right. These trolls have heavier weapons than hers & heavier armor. She would do better to be off to one side, trying to flank the trolls and find chinks in their armor for her rapier, altho she can brace the javelin against the floor or a wall if one of them charges her. It’s going to be tight quarters in there, so she hangs back a bit, hoping to bolster one of her companions, although the young girl draws both her eye & sympathy at being in such a helpless position.

Then there’s a sound & the rope holding the girl parts & she falls to the floor. Varo quickly looks to the seated troll to see what it’s going to do. She wishes she could use her bow, but they’re past that now. She’ll support the others & cast a healing spell if one gets seriously hurt, but it seems too crowded to enter with the others – she’ll wait just inside the door, to one side once she gets through it & do whatever is needed next. She's more worried about the purple-mouthed troll, as it is closer than the others & she doesn't want her flank or back to it.
