       [New Stuff]

           [Decalis 2nd, 1635TH]
           [Time: 5:55 pm?]

When Mae wakes up, and Kiet sees Dorhak is still steamed, he
wonders if he will have to use his skills to dispatch her.
Unlikely, with this group. But they are leaving it up to the
dwarf and Kiet isn't sure he won't demand her life. It would
certainly be a difficult choice had it happened to Kiet.

Maelorna awakens with the feeling of having yet again survived
in the city sewers, cold and damp which always sapped energy
           from her.

The last lingering thoughts of the dream still tease her
memories as she looks about. Her hair had fallen about her face,
hiding her eyes. She manages to sit up on her knees as the cold
does nothing but make her perfect breasts stand out. She
smiles gratefully at Fremea as the blanket is placed upon her.

She thinks for a moment as she recalls what she can, but after
stepping through the gate and just what her dreams she can
remember and it comes back to her.

She looks at Z'leyra and takes a ragged breath, before giving
a sigh."I broke my word, if not Dorhak, then it would have been
another of you. My will had finally started to fade and I was
on the verge of not being able to control the hunger. Passing
through what we did, it was the first creature I laid eyes upon
that was the victim I chose. If this were a city, I would be
able to feed without harming, taking a bit here and there,
usually from drunks or those in the throes of passion, as I've
           worked in brothels before.

The bearded dwarf paces back and forth as he considers
Z'leyra's question on Mae's fate. Then he circles
around the now conscious ex-slave. He circles and
grunts leering at her naked form.

The dwarf isn't looking too happy, but not many realize it
considering he's so ugly they don't even want to look upon him.
He puts away his mace in his belt.

Arawn smiles and kneels down to release Mae form her
ropes so she can stand and stretch.

Once Mae is released from her ropes, Dorhak calls over to
Mae. "Lassie!" At the same time he uses his index finger to
motion her to come near to him and down to his level.

Then he suddenly and quickly slaps her as hard as he can,
right across her face. "Don't you EVER touch me again!", he
yells. "Your penalty for stealing that which is nearly most
dear to me, won't be with your life. Instead, you will give
over to me HALF of any money treasure you gain as your share.
Also, if there are any special items available that come into
your possession from this trip, 'I' get to choose one of yours
for myself! But I don't choose until AFTER you have made your

And then, Dorhak surprises Kiet with that massive smack across
her face. Kiet yells out "Whooooaaaaa!", not telling him to
stop, but more impressed by the act.

Then again maybe Mae actually enjoys it rough.

The young dwarf is obviously really, really angry, and doing
nothing to hide it. "Those are my demands for reparation. The
slap? That was the penalty and interest!"

Some in the party stop eating and stare. Some release an
audible gasp. Some are neutral but most are shocked.

The Alfar who is rarely upset feels his ire rise but only
for a few moments. He should've anticipated it with his empath
senses but there was no predicting that slap.

Mae carefully picks herself up from the ground and thinks
for a moment, before giving him a soft knowing smile. "If
that is what you desire, I will endeavor to never touch you
again," as she pauses for a moment and reaches down with her
free hands and after a few minutes, manages to unhook the only
item she had laid claim to. She drops the tooled belt at the
dwarf's feet. "Other than the belt, which I only took as I
had need of it at the time, I have no claim in any treasure the
others have taken it upon themselves to acquire as their own.
Thus only that I can offer you," as she ignores the dwarf and
steps away, pulling the blanket closer to her.

Looking over at Arawn, "Would it be better if I changed back
into my other self and remain invisible until we can get back?
The most I'm capable of doing to help defend the group at this
point is using harsh language about their mothers and fathers.
At least the other body is more than capable of making friends
           out of enemies."

She thinks for a moment and then looks up at Arawn, "I may
need to summon the sister who taught me. Maybe she can tell
me a way to survive without having this happen again?"

The group recovers from the shock and eat once more.

Kiet is suddenly shocked at the realization concerning the
horses. We've been gone for months! By now, those horses have
new owners... and probably all the goods still with them! This
is a barbarian area. Crap! We'll have to replace everything.
           Including Ma Siwang.

"Um...guys? I think we have a problem. How are we going to
prove the horses and other stuff we left behind belongs to us?
All of the horses and items left behind are probably gone!"

With a sickening feeling Kiet grabs his stomach not dueoot
lack of food but all that lost material. The irony is that
he - or rather his shifter Kiet - destroyed gear from the
           party including Z'leyra's prized satchel.

Kell then glances at Kell's skeleton. Recalling what Raki
           said of a possible funeral.

When Raki comments about taking Kell home, Kiet feels his
chest tighten up all over again. He looks over to Raki and
says. "Yes, we do. Raki, you are under no real obligation to
do that, but you would most certainly be welcome. We might
want to have you not look like Kell when we go, but I think
your memories would help out tremendously."

"I will be happy to pay our way for that trip."

Raki nods, "I do not know how money works here. But
seeing his family and home might give me an edge to understand
           humans better."

After Dorhak's pronouncement, Kiet nods his head n agreement.
It seems a wise course of action...and way nicer than Kiet
           himself might have been.

Z'leyra shares some waybread from her pack. "While the lava
seems to have claimed my healing gear, some magic items and many
natural magic materials I fortunately had some items in other
locations. These should help sooth your appetite for food."

To Arawn. "Yes, I can, with appropriate precautions (ring,
staff, purification, divination) cast Akasha for you."

"I am glad that you both live." Z'leyra says to Mae and
Dorhak. "Lets try and keep things friendly from here on. And
if I gift Mae something it does NOT count towards Dorhak's

"Z'layha, Kameri metal does not need to have these dormant
shifters in it to be great. Our father and I both made excellent
examples of Kameri weapons without using ore contaminated by
them. If necessary we may be able to find a way to cleanse the
ore of the shifters without releasing them. Perhaps Arawn will
give us advice on how to do so. I suspect that you and I shall
have a great many questions from the Elders about these recent

Z'layha looks down to her discarded dagger. "Yes we have
normal ore. However we've done the tests over many decades.
The ...those were far better. There are thousands if not
millions around the world. Traded, gifted or stolen. It
would be impossible to clean each one. Plus doing so might
free them and if one is released...it is too much a risk."

Z'leyra continues, "As we have apparently been gone for
months our gear and horses will have 'acquired new owners'. I
will try to recover what I can of the items you describe to me.
The rest I will attempt to replace. I will work on my
teleportation skills so that I may get back to Sivas quickly in
one month from now. I may need help teleporting horses back."

"By Zu and Manakel! I forgot. My javelins were left with
my horse!" Kiet slaps his head in frustration. Karma must be
hitting him hard with item loss.

           Actions? Comments?

           Next Update....Wednesday...

GM: A short update but I started late. We are so close.
I want to officially have adventure end 9/1. So with
this plan in mind unless Arawn need to do tons of
stuff here we'll move on. The mystery on horses and
gear will be quickly resolved don't worry.

Z will stay here a month. So party via Arawn I
assume will translocate to Cetric's camp. Since
its getting dark party may spend a bit of time but
might only have 45 min before sunset. So maybe
10-15? Then teleport to Sivas and the Library

Once climb down the party will have a Bonus
Scene. Think of it like Marvel's ending credit
scene. It is a teaser. Once this scene is
done and completed (same update) the adventure
is over. So if all goes well we can finish
                in next update.

Then next Saturday I'll announce the details on
IBT and we'll start the long IBT process. This
usually takes a few months to process and so
maybe by late fall we'll start new adventure
                which will center around Dorhak.

Saturday's update I'll have a lot of clean up and
admin work including some experience reports, loot
and other things. While as players you just decide
on IBT actions I have TONS to do. :) But don't
decide on IBT yet until next week when I give details
                and some minor rule edits.

Arawn I assume ok to tp all to the various places?

If anything needs to be done before adventure ends
do so asap (that can't wait till IBT).
