      [New Stuff]

          [Augado 11th - Sepes 24th, 1634TH]
          [Location: Marentia (Maren)]

       [Augado 11]

Arawn finds himself full circle back in Marentia. he feels
more confident and safe here. In other lands he felt a bit
like an outcast or simply unwanted. If the Katai knew who he
was and what he was he might have been a present for the Emperor
himself. The bounty on his head would a king's ransom But here
       in Marentia, things are better.

Arawn looks at the party around him. the group has grown
and shrunken. He looks at Malic and wonders if he will remain
in this land or go back home. Then he looks down at Zhou's
body and gives his own set of prayers again. The man died
a hero saving a girl from certain doom. But Arawn can feel
the sadness in some of his loss. Even the hard stone faced
Kiet seemed to have been affected by Zhou's death. Chion is
the oddest to figure. It is as if he is fighting himself
a war of minds. Arawn is not sure what this is about but
the man is very subdued in his emotions. Maybe Arawn will
learn of his true feelings on Zhou.

Arawn tries to acquaint himself with Sivas as he explores the
streets and markets. Such a different culture these people have
than in Katai. In Katai it is almost palpable that you can taste
the tension and unease. The boot of the military and thus the
Empire over everyone from peasant to noble is seen. Here he
sees a distinct difference. Here the people are more free and
above all a bit more happy. Arawn does have to watch himself
with magic. The others say magic is tolerated here but not shoved
down one's throat. But even a simple magic could be death in
one land and here tolerated. He shakes his head as he walks around
and wonders how humans survive. In the upper world there is little
distinction. Aside from overall alignment changes the people are
treated well as long as they abide by the god and deities that
are around them. Beyond that people and creatures are the same.

That night Arawn enjoys the party and watching the others celebrate.
Watching the giant sing, dance and play his instruments is a good
change in pace. Arawn notices Fremea almost covertly whispering
with Kaylle for some time. he could use his keen ears to listen but
that would be rude and he trusts the Fae. Maybe Fremea is doing
some tasks in order to learn more on her parents.

Time passes by quickly as the night draws on. The gambling,
drinking and eating eventually end. Plans are made for the group.
Some going to the Dark Lands and some to other places like Ba'ru,
Vassa and the plains. Arawn decides he might find some clues or
some insight back in the Dark Lands where this all started.

As the feast begins to end, Arawn gives some insights on Sidh
ways with Fremea, Kell and Raban. He tries to spread as much
info as he can that they are willing to hear. Later as Kell
starts to gamble his mind gets more distracted but Raban while
not entertaining seems to soak in the details. Arawn wishes
he had days to spend on this but knows it is only a few hours.

That night Arawn spends a few hours dictating as much info as he
can with Kaylle on the Vong and the Lymrian culture. In fact a
Scribe from Duke Aren joins them to get a debriefing himself. The
Scribe takes notes so he can give them to the Duke and then on to
the King. But with only a few hours here it may time more time
       to write it all down.

       [Augado 12]

That morning Arawn waits for the others to join him outside.
For the last hour or so he has watches the twilight creep away
to sunrise. It is one of those human concepts but to him the
stars remind him of home. He knows that is not his home but
the generic human term fits good enough. he watches a single
green falling star and wonders if that is a omen of good or bad
       times ahead.

Arawn considers using magic to track the fallen star but knows
that a star that enters through the clouds are usually blown to
nothing more than pebbles at most.

Arawn ends up in the plains and Vassa forest for a brief time.
At the plains he feels the most left out. This is the bottom
rung of the cultural ladder and he is the top being a son of a god.
It is like a human to a ant colony. Arawn watches the people and
wonders if he was his parents would he judge these people as others
       judge him?

In the Vassa forest, Arawn meets with Strie'bog's mother and the
forestal Miklav. Arawn tries to seek an audience with the Faerry
queen in the Faerry Hill but due to the death of Ta'ili the Faerry
that Fremea found in Rising Mount, the hill is shut down for the
mourning period and possible rites. Before Arawn leaves to go
to the Dark Lands he wonders why Chion didn't try to get Cetric
to save Ta'ili? Maybe she asked not to be saved. The difference
between a necromancer and a druid is that one asks to speak to the
dead and not force the dead to react. If a being does not want
to come back that is their choice. But to force it is just not
right. The party spoke of that Lich person who raised the dead
in that land west of Marentia. Arawn does not want a reputation
like that to come to him. So far he has only tried to raise the
dead through their spirit to learn from them once. He can recall
how the party reacted to that. The reputation of the Lich is still
       present.

Arawn consults with Miklav and the Green Lady to see if Ta'lil
would like to be given her life back. But both agree that they
would have asked Chion already this and both agree not with
the condition she was left at.

Once at the lands Arawn learns the High Elder is mysteriously
absent. Arawn decides maybe during his time he will see him again.

After some exploring at the markets, Arawn casts some magic
that evening. He does an experiment to see if he can cast
a create warrior spell while a energy shield is active and seems
to be able to do so. He casts blessings on himself, Knowledge,
Wisdom, Shape Change, Battle mind, Fist of Battle, Power Strike,
Flaming death and Shadow Sculpt as well as a few purifications.
He casts enhancements to enhance 4 natural magic items and then
finally ends the day with a healing mist.

       [Augado 13]

Arawn returns after sunrise to see the group leave. He is shocked
to find Zhou alive. He then realizes why Chion was so much in mental
distress. Arawn welcomes Zhou back and spends some time with him.
Then Arawn plans his stay here in the lands as he asks Oby Wan for
permission to stay here. Oby Wan grants him stay as long as he does
not interfere with the wizards. He knows that Arawn's magic might
challenge others and that could be bad. He especially tells him not
to get near the Sorcereses's domain or her and her Chaos friends.

Arawn knows that three things help a person to survive the various
perils and powers of this world. The weapon one uses. The magic
that one wields. Lastly the brain above all things. He knows
that he is skilled in the first two but a Alfar must represent the
Sidh above those other two things. So the brain will be his greatest
weapon. He saw that simple charisma and influence of simple words to
great actions swayed the enemy. Where would the party be without
words that swayed Lin, the outcasts or the rebel magic group? After
he figures this out he decides that he needs to improve his overall
eloquence and the methods used by it. He suspects this will take
       at least a month.

In order to do this Arawn decides that he needs to study great
lectures, stories, music and give great speeches. One can not
simply pick up a book and learn to be a great speaker. It has to
come from the heart. But Arawn will try to study as much of the masters
he can. He knows the Dark Lands has a limited library of books but
he will try to find what he can. He considers Kaylle's library which
would be plenty but decides that here with wizards who fight on the
failure of a wrong word that learning to be eloquent is better here.

Arawn settles down into the Citadel's main tavern. In his room
he is given a nice desk to write and scribe things. Here he jots
down as much info as can recall on the Vong and Lymrian culture he
couldn't last night. This will actually take a few more days to
do. He creates 3 journals. One on the Vong and Lymria each. the
other is for himself notes in case he forgets. These are his own
private thoughts that maybe no one should know. He suspects those
in charge will copy the Vong journal from Kaylle so they can use
it to prepare themselves. But the other journal only a scholar may
       care to know.

After seeing Zhou saved by Chion, Arawn considers helping the
majordomo. He approaches Zhou for a drink at the tavern and
once settled in asks if he would like some help to recover That
resurrection is good for the soul but there is always some loss
in ability. He may have the power to do something. The man
considers this for some time. He now has a badge of courage
or honor. The scar on his back will remind him of his duty
and his sacrifice. Both men discuss the merits and finally
with the words Arawn offers, Zhou decides to do so. Leaving
the tavern for a bit more quiet area he casts Regrowth on the
man and hopes it may restore some of his ability. He may not
fully know if it does as well as Zhou may not know if fully
healed. But it is the attempt that counts. Zhou doesn't feel
different but realizes it may take a long time to know if he
       was fully healed.

Arawn asks if Zhou should be given more reqrowth spells but the
man declines after some thought. He considers a mark of honor to
be more than being whole again. Something to honor the girl and
the other lives lost. If he is fully healed then it would be
as if nothing happened and forgotten.

Later that night he casts Elf Shot and Fatal spear as practice
and then a couple of dispel spells. The spear spell fails though.

       [Augado 14]

Today Arawn casts Elf shot and Fatal Spear again to practice then
dispel the arrow and spear magic. He also practices another
       dispel spell as well.

       [Augado 15]

Three days ago Arawn casts a shape change spell to change to
a Raven and it was fun flying again. Today he tries to change
into a Fish, a rather large one, inside a bathhouse tub. But
the spell fails and he becomes one wet Elf. But he practices
his fist of battle again as well.

       [Augado 16]

Today Arawn blesses himself three times and practices a quick
dispel spell. He tries a battle mind but fails. He practices
Elf shot and Fatal Spear again but spear fails. he then dispels
the magic on the Elf shot arrow. He then practices Power strike
and flaming death. But the flaming death dies as he fails without
       giving him a spark.

       [Augado 17]

Arawn casts a healing mist spell and a shadow sculpt spell. But
       both fail.

       [Sepes 18]

Arawn casts Elf Shot and Fatal Spear to practice again but the
arrow does not become enchanted so he only dispels the spear. He
Then casts Battle mind which fails. Then after purifying the
ground he casts enchantments on the quiver and bag he made for
his friends. Both will be increased for carrying capacity and
       weight decrease.

       [Augado 18]

Chion returns to pick up Kell and Ben'dar. Word gets sent
to Arawn that Ben'dar will be married next spring. But for now
he is planning on a party at Cholan's tavern on Sepes 24th if
       he is able to attend.

Arawn casts another Wisdom spell. He practices a dispel spell
as well as his Elf Shot and Fatal Spear with dispel magic on
them both. He tries to shape change into a hummingbird but does
not change. he is glad he didn't leap off the citadel wall as
he tested it. He then casts another fist of battle to practice.

       [Augado 20]

Arawn casts more blessings upon himself. He practices another
dispel spell. He tries to cast Elf Shot and Fatal Spear again but
both fail. He also fails another Battle Mind and Flaming death
spells again. But he gets a Power Strike spell out.

       [Augado 21]

Arawn casts a shape change spell on himself to change into a Otter
in the bathhouse. Only problem is the owner comes in to find this
animal and tries to bash in it with a club. Lucky Arawn escapes and
explains what happened to the embarrassment of the owner. Arawn
also casts another Fist of Battle to practice.

       [Augado 22]

Arawn practices another dispel spell. He tries Elf shot and
Fatal Spear again but the spear does not become magical. He
       then dispels the arrow.

       [Augado 23]

Arawn does a Healing Mist and practices some shadow sculpting.

       [Augado 24]

Arawn continues his practices on Blessing, dispel, Elf Shot,
Fatal Spear, dispel on the shot arrow and spear, shape changing
to a Raven, battle mind, power strike and flaming death.

       [Augado 13 - Seeps 11]

Over the next few weeks, Arawn continues his study to improve
his eloquence. As he does he studies texts and recites them
at night to anyone who may wish to listen.

The Alfar studies the various Lymrian books they found and
the styles and meanings. He studies the scrolls and the map.
He dreams of the era of this great culture and wonder if he could
go back in time to visit them. Others have said that many cultures
have died and it is the survival of the strongest. He wonders
if he is here to learn of all these things. But why? The gods
were there and know of those cultures.

During the day that he spends improving himself he finds
himself in the public area like the Citadel lake park or
a domain estate giving speeches. He is improving his rhetoric
skill as much as he can during this period.

During these weeks he also serves as a diplomat and courier
between the High Elder or Oby Wan and the Elder domain or
       more friendly domains.

       [Sepes 12]

Arawn is happy today as in the market in the Elder domain he
finds a dealer who has a toadstone. He immediately buys the gem.

Arawn casts his 3 blessings on himself again. Then practices
Elf Shot and Fatal spear with the dispels to remove them.

       [Sepes 13]

Arawn notices a group of 8 moving down a path in the western
forest of the Citadel. They are all dressed with tan robes and
hoods. They are chanting and one is carrying a large talisman
       of some kind.

Arawn tried to get a good mana reading from the men and their
gear but can't get close enough and in good angle to do so.

Arawn wants to go and follow them but the High Elder has allowed
to meet him today for an hour. So he rushes to the citadel for
the rare meeting. He asks the Elder about the menu but he dismisses
as these things happen all the time. Apprentices and masters are
always on pilgrims or training or some such. It would take three
lifetimes to record and study each encounter.

Arawn shape changes into a hummingbird again to fly around.
Then casts Power Strike and Flaming death though the flaming
       death fails.

       [Augado 22]

Arawn is sending a package to a estate west of the citadel which
is on the edge of Chaos/Balance territory. It is due to go to
a balance wizard who has retired to develop border defense magic
for all the domains. As Arawn walks through the forest for a
somewhat lengthy trek he comes across a party of 4 in the forest.

Arawn watches closely and determines that 1 is a wizard master
and there three students. He notices that the students are blind
folded. But the big thing is all around them in the forest are
glowing objects. Arawn is not sure if they are magical illusions,
creatures or what. Arawn uses his talent to hide in the forest
to watch. The master explains that to catch magic one must know
magic from the distractions of the world. He tells them to remove
their blindfolds. Then he tells them to find the actual magical
ball among the non magical balls. The balls seem to be lit up by
maybe fire flies or some substance that glows like algae. The
time is mid day but the forest is dark due to the canopy blocking
at least 80% of the light. The students begin to search back and
forth among the colorful balls. Arawn then senses that the actual
ball is the one on the ground to the left of the master. He can
sense this from his powers. But the three students seem to be
looking back and forth guessing and failing.

Then the tallest student a girl around 15 or 16 stops and
starts to breath slowly. She closes her eyes and seems to
listen to the wind. Then she opens them slowly and looks around.
She picks up one ball and decides it is not it. Then reaches
out her fingers as if drawing on something. Her hand moves slowly
toward the one on the ground and she grabs it. She studies the
ball and then turns to the master and hands it over. "You are
correct. In learning magic to sense other magic and read magic
one must learn from your own instincts first. A good wizard
can cast magic that fakes things and distracts. A simple mistake
can lead to death." The master explain and then sweeps a hand
around him to reveal illusions of flowers that were also balls
       that were real.

"So the blindfolds were a test?" A Young boy of about 12 asks.

"Yes. One must learn that a task before you can be straight
forward as using a broom to clean a mess or as complex as
enchanting a item that is likely to fail and destroy the material."

Arawn finds the lesson thoughtful but his own task is calling
him away. He heads off to the group arguing over which is better
       to read or sense magic.

Hours later Arawn is leaving the estate he went to deliver
his package. It is late around 9pm and he is not afraid of
the forest. The first time he came to this world he was chased
by a forest giant. What could get worse than that? He is
about 2 hours from the citadel when he notices a flicker of
light in the woods. He goes to discover two men sneaking about.

As he gets closer he can tell they are hunters. They have
leathers and pelts. They are carrying long bows and knives. He
does not understand their language but from what he has heard
of others it may be Kll'maun hunters or maybe Ipanza. The only
words he can tell is "Sidh Boar." Arawn is close to the Elder
domain maybe 30 miles north of it. The domain is likely to
have a Sidh boar or two. It could even come this far north. If
that is the case these men are poachers.

Arawn considers his options. He'll need to maybe capture or
kill them. The Elder domain has strong poaching rules death can
be warranted if needed. Only the law domains he has heard has
light poaching rules with simple fines. Chaos domains of course
will kill a poacher without question.

Suddenly Arawn feels a rope around his neck and begins to get
strangled. How could he have missed a guy behind him. He tries
to struggle free of the rope. He does a backward head butt and
looks up to see a painted face. Arawn then uses his leverage to
flip the man forward and over to the right using his martial arts.
He yanks the rope off only to find two arrows flying toward him.
One misses but the other hits him in the middle left chest but
is bounced off by his elven scale male.

Arawn draws his own magical sword and realizes he left the
shield at the tavern. He charges the painted man and swings.
He swings but fails to hit the man. But the painted man draws
a long dagger and stabs Arawn in the right shoulder doing 10
points of damage. Arawn staggers back knowing these hunters
mean business. No time to capture these men. Arawn draws back
into the dark forest to get his breath. The ones with the bows
are trying to light a torch but the painted man is staring at his
general direction. It is strange as if the man can see him or
       see in the dark?

The painted man draws a blow gun from his belt and blows a dart
toward Arawn. The dart misses Arawn's neck by a half foot hitting
a tree. Time to even the odds a bit. He draws his own elven bow
after sheathing his sword and moves away. He aims and fires at
the painted man. The arrow hits him in the lower left ribs doing
       4 points of damage.

The painted man fires another dart his way and misses again.

Arawn fires at the man lighting the torch and hits him in the
side doing 6 points of damage taking him to the ground and his
flint falls away. Arawn circles around the forest cloaked by
the darkness. The painted man fires again his dart but this time
almost 5 feet away which tells Arawn he is guessing and can't see
       him.

Arawn fires at the painted arrow and hits the man in the left
shoulder doing 5 points taking the man down.

The last man looks around swinging his own sword but no clue
where the Druid is. Arawn sneaks up after placing his bow back
on his back and simply knocks the man out. Arawn checks the
other hunter but finds him dead. He checks the painted man and
       finds him dead as well.

Arawn treats his own wound and then uses the men's own ropes to
tie the survivor up. He could translocate these men to the citadel
but decides they don't deserve that much. He heads back on foot
to the citadel and sends some men out to find him. He hangs a
lantern on a tree to alert the men of their location. If they are
eaten by animals it would only be justice for hunters. The next
day though Arawn learns no wild animals ate them. The one man is
taken into custody and will be dealt with.

       [Augado 23]

It is late afternoon and Arawn is on the east side of the Citadel
at a park where he had a debate with a wizard on the merits of
illusion versus creation. Arawn did well though the crowd did like
the other wizard saying that creations can actually interact in most
cases better. As he is walking back to the tavern he notices a wizard
and a female dancing about but waving a staff as if under attack. Then
Arawn notices a tree, no a bush move. Arawn has heard of these Bush
Warriors before. The small things can be nasty. Arawn doesn't want
to kill them but he doesn't know how to talk to them. He heard they
can use sign language but he never learned it like Unali and
others have.

Arawn comes to help the female pull away from two of the warriors
just in time to avoid a good attack on her. The wizard with his staff
bashes one of the 7 warriors. But they seem to hide and then
show up as fast as blink of an eye. But with Arawn there the wizard
stops and pulls a object out of his backpack. It is a talisman of
some kind and then it sprays 3 warriors with flame. This causes the
other 2 warriors to flee with the other 2 being dead.

The wizard named Gejiac thanks Arawn and say they can be nasty things
in this area. Mostly they avoid people but they wanted something from
the man but he does not say what.

Arawn tries to determine the cause of the warrior attack but the
wizards only say something about their homes were attacked and
may have mistaken them for it. Arawn can tell they seem to be
trying to mislead at the least lying and decides to let the men
leave and help the warrior bodies return to nature.

That night Arawn casts a dispel sell to practice. Then tries
to cast Elf Shot and Fatal spear but both fail. He casts Battle
       Mind spell to practice.

       [Augado 24]

Arawn is riding north of the citadel well past the farm fields back
to the citadel. Today he spent the day at a carnival at an estate that
is famous for debates on ancient races. Arawn was not a debater but
watches as 5 from the Lands came to debate the history and details.
He was fascinated by one creature that was said to be a flying puff
of flower like a sunflower seed that hovered in the air. It was gentle
but did give off electrical surges that could kill people. Arawn then
tried to debate some of the audience members on the merits of keeping
creatures like them still alive or to kill them. Course for the Druid
it was a easy choice on which side to choose.

The carnival itself was a bit boring but did have some demonstrations
on elemental magic. Not the type that Kell does but on the types of
elements like fire, wind, water and ice to name a few. The master who
showed the use of Ice Bridges and blizzard was very powerful.

Arawn tries to ask the audience at this debate if they know of
Lymria and the Dark Elves but no one speaks up on them.

But now Arawn is riding back around 9pm when he hears a scream in
the forest. He rides west to investigate and sees a creature attacking
a man on the ground. His horse has fled away and the creature has
a tall build about 7 feet. Arawn dismounts and charge to help the
man as the creature - now he sees it as a minotaur - raises a axe to
cleave the man. But Arawn is a second too late. The man takes the
axe in the neck and Arawn tackles the creature away.

Snorting and now angry the minotaur shakes the blow and rises back
to his feet. Arawn swings his magical sword but fails to hit as the
minotaur sways to the side. The axe hits the Alfar in the right shoulder
but this time the armor protects him.

Arawn raises his shield and slashes with his sword again. The magical
dagger hits the minotaur in the center left ribs doing 20
points of damage.

The minotaur swings his axe and hits Arawn's buckler which blocks
      the strike.

Arawn slashes but only does 1 more point of damage to the creature
      in his lower abdomen.

The minotaur bashes with his axe but the Alfar side steps just
in time to dodge the strike.

Arawn stabs the minotaur in the right upper ribs doing the last
damage to knock the creature down. Arawn can see it still snorting
and breathing so stabs him again killing him.

Arawn turns to check on the man but sadly he is already dead from
Two previous neck and head wounds. Arawn takes the body back to
the citadel and realizes just how dangerous this place is not just
       the wizards but the creatures.

Arawn collects samples like horn, fur and hair from the miotaur
in case he wishes to do some magic from them. He then does a
prayer to help recycle the spirt of the dead man and minotaur
       back to a better form.

       [Augado 25]

Around 2pm Arawn is walking in a balance domain market south
of the citadel. He notices 4 warriors escorting a man in chains
and gagged. It is rare that such things are seen here. Most justice
is handed down by the Elder or the domain leader or duels are done
to resolve issues. For this man to be in irons and bound with
hands behind his back it is rare.

Arawn asks and the lead guard states the man was arrested since
he is alleged to be helping the Katai Empire to bring wizards to
them. He will be questioned and then either exiled or killed.

A couple days later Oby Wan informs Arawn that due to the info
given to him by Arawn and the others that they were able to find
some more conspirators helping Katai. This may help to stop the
ambush of wizards who go to Katai for their apprenticeship trials.

In this case the man was imprisoned and the High Elder is trying
to figure out his fate. Sven wants him exiled but the Sorceress
wants him killed along with his family in Katai.

       [Augado 26]

Arawn casts another Knowledge and Inner revelation spell. He
casts two more dispels and tries Elf shot and Fatal Spear. But
Elf Shot fails to enchant the arrow.

       [Augado 27]

Arawn changes into a hummingbird and flies around and almost
becomes a snack to a very clever street cat. He does a healing
mist and Fist of Battle. he tries to sculpt some shadows but
       fails.

       [Augado 28]

Arawn is at the markets north of the citadel. He is trying to
persuade and haggle on deals. He is not actually buying stuff
but based on Kell's silver tongue he figures he can try to improve
his eloquence by practicing to haggle.

He notices a group of 10 men in the markets walking as a group. They
stand out based on how they are looking around and their dress. They
are wearing loose fitting sailor style clothing. Arawn then spots one
man he recognizes. He goes over to say hello and it takes a minute for
the sailor to recall since it was a bit over 3 months ago.

Arawn asks if the Blue Moon was docked back. The sailor explains
that he left the moon a month ago to help the Reflection's captain.
So Captain Sung Lesai is not here. Arawn asks about the crew of the
Blue Moon. The sailor explains the ship is south somewhere near Teos.
They are not planned to be back here for 3 or 4 months. Arawn asks
the sailor to convey his good wishes back to Captain Sung if he sees
them or returns to the Blue Moon.

Arawn that night practices more magic. He casts 3 more Blessings
on himself, Elf Shot and Fatal spear with their respective dispels.
He then practices Battle Mind, Power strike and flaming death but
       the last 2 fail.

       [Augado 29]

After a great lecture on crafting magical wands from a Balance
Master, Arawn is walking the lake park south of the citadel. He
debates with a group of 3 wizards on the merits of staff versus wands.
The debate goes well but there is no clear winner this time as all have
       good points.

As Arawn walks back to the tavern it is near 1am. The park is
safe and rarely anything happens here. But as Arawn walks he notices
a hooded figure walking fast past him. Some wizards like the look
of robes and on windy days use hoods. But tonight it is a cool
night with little breeze. Arawn does a double take at the figure
and for some reason it feels familiar. Arawn decides to follow
the humanoid in the forest for a bit.

Five minutes into the attempt he man disappears as it rounds
a corner. Again not so surprised as wizards have spells. But this
was instant. Arawn looks around and then turns around just in time to
feel a dagger at his throat. Arawn calmly waits for the figure to
       speak.

"Why are you following me?" in broken Katai.

Arawn tries to speak, "I thought I might know you." But

Arawn is dealing with a paranoid person it seems. Paranoia can
cause dangerous men to over react. Arawn twists and grasps the
man's palm and yanks using his martial arts. The dagger goes further
away from Arawn's neck and then the Alfar twists and does a hip toss
to the side. The hooded figure slams onto the ground on his back.

That is when Arawn's eyes grow, though it is pitch dark the Alfar's
night vision is adjusted by the star light. He sees pointed ears on
the man's skull. Then the face looks like one of his kind a Elf.

Alfar's should be given respect by all Elves or at least that is
what his mother told him. Alfar steps back and lets the Elf stand.
As the Elf stands he dusts himself off and places the dagger in
       his other hand.

Arawn is staring at the Elf's face and doesn't notice the Elf slip
a hand in a pouch. The Elf pulls out a round ball and tosses it
to the ground. A flash of light blinds Arawn and when Arawn clears
his visions a second later there is smoke all around him. The Elf
is gone and Arawn moves out of the smoke. Arawn looks around but
in the deep night does not spot him. He tries to check the ground
for marks but finds no trail in this light.

Arawn runs to the citadel and demands to see the High Elder. But
Oby Wan stops him. Arawn asks about the Elf and Arawn is allowed
entry into the library. "The High Elder is tired after a full day
of talks. He is a old man you know and not as young as you." He
pours a drink for himself. "This Elf you speak of? You must speak
of it no more again. This Elf is here in exile and wanted." He
raises a hand. "Don't ask for why or from who. He asks for sanctuary
and the High Elder granted it. If he wishes to meet with you he
       would already have done so."

Arawn leaves disappointed. Was this the Elf that he saw maybe
in the woods that one time awhile back or was that a vision? Here
in this region there are few if any non humans so to find one here
       is exceptional.

       [Augado 30]

Arawn casts a Wisdom spell. Recasts Elf Shot and Fatal spear
with their respective dispels. He changes into a Otter and casts
       battle mind.

       [Augado 31]

Arawn casts his 3 Blessings on himself to improve OCV, DCV and
       constitution.

       [Sepes 1]

Arawn practices Power Strike, Flaming Death, healing Mist and
Shadow Sculpt. He only fails in the flaming death spell.

       [Sepes 2]

Arawn practices his Elf Shot, Fatal Spear and their respective
dispels. The Spear does not get the enchantment removed so he has
to repeat it. He also recasts Battle Mind and Fist of Battle.

       [Sepes 3]

Arawn shape changes into a Raven and flies over the lake park.

       [Sepes 4]

Arawn blesses himself again 3 times then practices his usual
Elf Shot and Fatal Spear with the dispels. The spear takes
2 casting of dispel to remove the magic.

       [Sepes 5]

Arawn practices his Fist of Battle, Power Strike and Flaming
death spell early in the morning. Then he casts a Wisdom spell.

Arawn is riding in the forest relaying a package from Zhou to
a wizard in the forest south of the citadel. He is about 13
miles south of the citadel and it is around 3pm. Arawn comes
across a large brown bear roaming around. At first it spooks
the horse but Arawn calms him down. Arawn simply watches the
bear as it passes the bear looks like it is gathering fat for
the winter hibernation, but it seems to ignore Arawn all
       together.

Back from his delivery mission he is now riding deep in the
forest back toward the citadel. There are no paths here so the
horse mostly rides in a general direction back to the citadel
having to avoid trees and holes. It is good that Arawn can
speak to the horse to warn him at the last instant of obstacles.
It is now around 10:15pm and suddenly two arrows shoot out from
       some direction toward Arawn.

Both arrows miss him by a half foot. But then suddenly a swarm
of goblins lunge from every direction. Three swing on ropes to
land right next to the horse. One falls from a tree nearby and leaps
onto the back of the horse behind Arawn. Four other goblins run
       from the forest toward him.

Arawn tries to elbow the goblin behind him but misses entirely
making any contact with as he fumbles to remain on the horse.

The goblin behind him bashes him with a club against the back
of his skull doing 3 points of damage and a nasty bruise. But
thank the gods he is not knocked out. One on the ground tries
to use a spear at Arawn but his scale mail protects him. The
other on the other side misses.

Arawn decides that being on the horse is to his disadvantage.
He swings over his leg to the left side and literally uses
the goblin's shoulder as a stepping stone of sorts. As he
does he tries to kick the goblin's head with his other foot.
But the kick is wild and misses. Arawn leaps to the ground
and spins to grab his sword. As he does he yells to the horse
to buck and knock the goblin away. The horse does this and
knocks the goblin off the horse behind him. As the horse backs
up he steps on the goblin and does 1 point of damage to him. To
the one that had the spear he tries to trample him and does 2
points of damage to his leg.

The other goblin turns and charges Arawn as 3 of the other
goblins change direction him. Two of the goblins miss their
attack but 2 hit with club and dagger. One with club hits
but does no damage past his armor. The one with the dagger
stabs Arawn in the lower ribs doing 3 points of damage.

Arawn swings his sword in a wide arc to force the goblins
away and then moves toward the horse to grab his shield.

The horse moves away so not to be killed.

Three of the goblins charge Arawn after recovering.

One of the Goblins does a massive hit on his left ribs doing 6
more points. The other two fail to hit their marks. But now
Arawn has 7 round him about to lunge.

Arawn thrusts and takes out one with a quick thrust through his
       heart killing him instantly.

The horse comes charge back and knocks 1 goblin to the ground
and tries to trample two more. The one on the ground and the
one trampled take no damage. But the other under his forward
hooves is crushed instantly by a 9 point blow killing him.

Now with 5 goblins left and 2 dazed they act. Three charge
Arawn and one hits but is deflected by his shield. The other
two tumble away from the horse back to their feet.

Arawn swings at another goblin but fails to hit.

The horse tramples another goblin knocking him out.

The rest of the goblins attack Arawn and one does serious
damage doing 3 more points through his spear. The others do
not get even close to hitting.

Arawn swipes at one goblin's chest and does enough damage
       to kill him.

The horse tries to help Arawn but the goblins find that
being around Arawn makes them less a target. They may be
stupid but they are smart with instincts.

Now with only 3 goblins left they attack again. Two hit
one doing 5 more points with his dagger. The other hits
but his armor protects him. The third only hits the shield.

Arawn feels a bit dizzy from the loss of blood and thrusts
at another goblin. He hits one of the wounded goblins and
       kills him.

Both goblins try to attack Arawn again snorting at the blood
on their tusks happy to be able to kill a sidh! But both attacks
       miss by inches.

Arawn thrusts at another and hits him in the left shoulder
       doing enough to kill him.

The last goblin clubs Arawn on the shoulder doing 2 more points
       of damage.

Arawn swipes at the last goblin doing 3 points of damage to him.

The goblin swings his club but Arawn deftly avoids the blow.

Arawn swings one last time and kills the last goblin.

Arawn goes around and stabs the creatures 3 more times to ensure
their bodies are well dead. As he stabs the last one he suddenly
feels dizzy and his vision blacks out.

Arawn wakes up in a bed and is confused. He doesn't know how
he got here. He can recall grass on his cheeks as if hit the
ground. How did he get to his horse? Did he have enough energy
to do that? Arawn recognizes the citadel's healing shack. The
healer is mixing up something and looks over smiling. He tells
the Alfar not to sit as he almost died. It took two healers to
do the bulk of saving him. The healer simply explains he was found
on his horse like a dead man being cried to burial.

For the next couple days Arawn rests and spends time inside the
       citadel grounds recovering.

Later Arawn asks the horse what happened. The horse simply says
that a burst of energy allowed you to get on the horse and then
you collapsed. The horse returns to the citadel. Arawn fgures
a last bit of adrenaline helped to save himself from a certain
death. Arawn names the horse "Goblin Crusher" and asks if he can
do anything to reward him. The horse just asks for apples and
       carrots.

       [Sepes 6]

While recovering inside the Citadel proper Arawn notices a crowd
forming. The same spot the group attended the wedding party months
ago. He is curious and hears whispers of some ceremony. He takes
a seat on a bench and watches. The crowd of 30 or 35 it seems gather
in a circle. Based on their dress the runes show they are likely from
       a Chaos domain.

The crowd were of average age of 20-25. Arawn watches as a single
man steps in the center of the circle and some Master gives various
signs and begins to chant a bit. Then the man kneels down as a the
Master brings a serpent of some kind and wraps it around the man's
bare shoulders while holding the snake with heavy gloves.

the snake begins to wiggle around the man's open shoulders and
move up and down his bare chest. The man is seen to grit his
teeth and tears fall from his eyes. After two minutes the man
unclenches his fists and the snake is removed.

The man stands and turns around. This is when Arawn can see
a symbol almost tattoo like on his shoulder and chest. When
the man turns there is a hit on his back as well. The snake
must've made this mark with some great pain . The mark some
almost unreadable meaning seems to glow red and then get a
normal color as it seems to "burn" into his skin.

Arawn tries to get closer but the man is ushered away quickly
by the crowd. Zhou is there and taking some letters to the citadel
messenger shack and stops. He explains the man was given a rite
for his apprenticeship. If the man survives the next 2 hours he
will be taught by the master. At least 15% of the students die
from the mark during its placement or soon after from the poison.

It is custom to do the ceremony here rather than in the Chaos
Domains. The High Elder wishes a above the board ritual and
the masters agree to show any who wish to see that the students
were willing and eager and not forced into it.

Arawn casts his Elf Shot and Fatal Spear but the Elf Shot fails.
He casts dispel to end the spear magic. He then tries Battle Mind,
Healing Mist and Flaming death but all three fail.

       [Sepes 7]

Arawn changes into a Fish for practice by his shape change
       spell.

       [Sepes 8]

Around 3pm Arawn is in the north section of the markets north
of the citadel. He is looking around for various things and
notices something odd. He notices 9 uniformed patrolmen and
Sven Redhand leading them. They are moving eastward and seem
to be in a hurry. Arawn is curious but is trying to get some
info on some natural magical items from a clerk so does not follow.
But he finds it a odd sight. Later rumors spread that the group
were chasing some apprentice that decided to attack some peasant
farm and raped a young girl out of some misguided love. But the
rumors are rarely true so who knows what really happened.

Later some days later, Arawn asks Sven about the situation. He
simply says there was some trouble with a Chaos master and a
Balance master which was making a hamlet very paranoid due to
fires, walking death trees and such. So he was called in to
resolve things and get them to mediation.

Arawn casts his 3 blessings on himself. He tries Elf Shot and
Fatal spear but the spear spell fails. He casts dispel
on the arrow and fist of battle again.

       [Sepes 9]

Arawn casts knowledge and inner revelation spells again with
some good purifications. He casts Power Strike but fails in trying
       to do flaming death.

       [Sepes 10]

For the last month Arawn has trying to improve his eloquence. He
has given at least 4 dozen lectures, debates in at least 30 events,
read and scribes everything form military history to poetry. He does
feel more confident and hopes it will help in his future days.

Though most Dark Landers have seen him as a guest but nothing more
they tolerate who and what he is. Only a few knew of his Alfar status
but most know him as a powerful wizard and druid. Arawn has seen little
influence of the Sidh here. Over the last month he has tried to spread
the faith as much as he can. But most are already oriented to a group
or alignment already. He as would be expected gets most respect on
this in the Elder domain. But for Chaos and Law he gets only the
rough but gentle nod and smile as if waiting for him to leave. The
Balance regions they tolerate him and at least do not lynch him.

Only one instance where a girl of 17 came to Arawn and asked about
the Sidh ways. Arawn spent hours going over as much as he could
while in the Citadel lake park. But Arawn learned that the girl was
just naturally curious but already had her eye out on learning Law
magics especially in dreams to help others.

Oby Wan even asked him twice to settle disputes between two rival
domain masters. The first was the Elder master and a Chaos master
who was encroaching on the Elder domain. The Chaos master said
she was due the land since the western border of her own domain
was cut down and destroyed by scum on the plains. She felt the
3 acres of forest on that border should be given to her by 3 acres
on the Elder's domain. The Elder domain master of course disputed
this and sough word from the High Elder. But Oby Wan let him settle
it and Arawn wondered if it was one of Ki'ama's tests.

Arawn simply settled it by saying that the land should be regrown
with trees and given better defense magic to stop intruders. But
the Chaos master knows no such magic. But it was a good thing that
just 2 weeks before Arawn met with the balance master who is in charge
of domain master. He arranged for that and the Elder master arranged
for a Law master to help out by using magic to regrow some of the
forest. Of course this was not acceptable for the Chaos master to be
helped by a Law wizard. But it was finally settled with a apprentice
doing the work not a law master. That seemed to settle the matter
as long as the law "influence" left right away.

The second dispute was between two Chaos masters who were arguing
over a dead body they wanted to use rites on. One felt it was her
ownership by family right. The other master felt it was due to her
based on marriage. Arawn never was given details on the rites but
suspected it was not too sweet and nice. This dispute happened
a week ago and lasted 2 full days. Sadly as with the chaotic
nature of these wizards they decided to just duel rather than
settle the argument. A great magical battle ensued with the
master who felt the body was family winning. The one who felt
it should be hers by marriage was killed by death magic. Her
secondary who was promoted to Master by right did not continue
the duel and gave the body over to the other side. Arawn was
then ordered to leave immediately the domain. That was the
scariest moments Arawn had been in and felt certain he would have
been killed if he had stayed.

In the end Arawn becomes allies or at least slight friends to
the Elder domain master, 3 Balance masters and 1 Law master. He
would meet and spend time with Sven two or three times. But by
far he would befriend at least 3-4 dozen low level wizards or
non wizards of the lands. He would learn the politics and the
strange customs of the lands. Maybe he could write a book and
sell it but figures it might be bad form to tell stories on
a land that he was welcome as a guest.

Arawn practices his Elf Shot and Fatal spear spells and then
removes their enchantments with dispels. He then casts Battle
        Mind.

        [Sepes 11 - 24]

Now that Arawn feels he has improved himself he decides it
is time to do a few other things.

Arawn buys some jeweler tools in order to craft a necklace
to fasten his enhanced pearl, sapphire and topaz. He spends
the next two days working on the necklace and then setting the
stone inside the rim of the necklace. He does have a bit of
a time getting the sapphire in place but finally gets it done.
He had hoped to use Elven metal but none exist in the dark lands.

        [Sepes 11]

Arawn checks his gear over and only finds the magical sword
damaged. But after inspecting it determines it is not good to
repair it. As it would not be effective at this point. He does
repair a few pieces of clothing and cleans others.

Over the next couple of weeks he will spend time to study the
Dark Elf armor. But there is little beyond the basic inspection
one did the first few times inspected. There is no clue of who
made it or why. Just that is a simple piece of armor nothing more.

Arawn tries to study the Vong box that is glowing. He can't
sense magic from it and figures there would be none. He asks
the High Elder to inspect it and leaves it with Oby. A day
later Oby simply gives a report that is a pretty decorated
natural box. The Vong may be vile things but they seem to have
used some material that made the crystal glow. The HIgh Elder
figures that is a simple fancy jewelry or hope box. In the case
of the Shapers probably some tool or instrument.

Arawn also spends the last few weeks studying the various books
and scrolls he got from the past and present.

Arawn casts Wisdom to gain some information. Then casts fist
of battle, Healing mist and shadow sculpt.

        [Sepes 12]

Arawn is spending a night in a tavern with Sven Redhand. They
are talking about the past and the events on the ship. Arawn
asks if there is a temple to Zu and a priest. Sven tells him
that he only knows of one in the Shadow domain at the port the
very party used to get to their ship.

After talking to Sven who has sailed as on many ships he advises
that the loss to Tung would be good as much as he wishes. A
sailor typically is on a ship 8 months of the year He might
earn 12-16 gold for that time. But it depends on the profit
and trade as well as the ports sailed into. Sven suggests if
he wishes to give money he can leave it with the moneylender
and word can get to his crew if he returns. It would also give
him a bit of interest. Arawn decides to leave 15 Gold for
the ship and the captain. Who knows it could be the first
Mate if the captain died. But Arawn wishes to give his thanks
for the voyage to Katai and the loss they suffered.

Arawn makes arrangements to leave 5 gold for the captain and
        the sailors as well.;

        [Sepes 14]

Arawn finds himself at the largest port in the Dark Lands in
the Shadow domain. In a small fishing village he indeed finds
the Temple of Zu and a old man priest. Arawn tries to convey his
thanks to the priest but he has no idea what the Alfar speaks of.
He simply says that a offering or blessing for a ship or the entire
fleet of fishing ships could do. So Arawn spends a few hours
praying and blessing ships which looks odd but it is the best he
        can do at this point.

Arawn explains to the priest what happened on the ship and
the storm. When the serpent which was likely Zu's son helped
out. Arawn gives the temple 10 gold to help out. This amazes
the priest and finds it wonderful that is more money he gets
in years in total. He is shocked and takes the offering with
great praise. He will give thanks and many prayers for Zu for
        helping the kind Alfar.

After seeing the ships he decides that a offering and a
nice ship item would do best. There are about a dozen fishing
vessels and half a dozen pleasure ships. There are only 2
merchant ships since this is a infrequent nation to visit. But
of all the ships he notes that a figurehead is a prized thing.
Even the warships nations use are proud of their ship figureheads.
They denote the superior aspect of the ship, sailors and the
gods. Arawn goes to a shop and asks who makes them. After some
time he finds a place who makes them. The smith advises that
he only makes 2 a year of any size. He does maybe 2 dozen a
month for small ships. The port is so rarely used that there is
no demand He makes most of his money in ship carpentry.

Arawn spends an hour going over the details of the ship and
the crew that he spent on a couple months on. The ship finds it
odd for a passenger to buy such a thing but as long as he can
pay he doesn't care. The smith says it will take at least a
half month to full month to make. Arawn sighs knowing that
he is due back in Sivas in just 10 days or so. Arawn arranges
the order and pays a bit up front.

Later Arawn asks Zhou to see to the finished product after
he explains what he desires. He knows that the ship will not
be around for months so pays a bit for storage. Zhou agrees
and will get the Zu priest to bless it when its ready for
the ship. Arawn leaves the rest of the gold with a money
        lender for payment when done.

Arawn tells the crafter to make it very elaborate and great
for the gods he wishes to honor. After hearing the crafter's
price he tells him he'll pay double.

Arawn practices his Elf Shot and Fatal spear. He fails
in the spear spell and removes the arrow enchantment in a
dispel. He casts battle mind which fails and Fist of Battle.

        [Sepes 15]

Arawn asks a shop if he can use the place to make a couple
of quick things. He wants to make a quiver for Fremea and
a bag to enchant. The shop owner doesn't care and accepts
the rental fees. The quiver and bag may take a couple days
each. Arawn asks for help since he doesn't have the direct
skills needed but can work through his armorer and other
        skills.

        [Sepes 16]

Arawn casts his 3 blessings on himself. Then practices Elf
Shot and Fatal spear with their usual dispel. He then casts
        Healing Mist and Shaduw sculpt.

        [Sepes 17]

Arawn casts another Wisdom spell then shape changes into a
otter again. He practices Fist of Battle, Power Strike and
        Flaming death.

        [Sepes 19]

Arawn notices a Law Master walking in the Citadel lake
park carrying Squirt! Arawn follows the man and realizes
the Dae'ta A'miri is a different animal. A bit more brown
than black. The Law Wizard is playing with him and places
a very tiny necklace on the beast. Arawn asks and the
master says it allows him to always fall on his feet. The
Master laughs that is something he came up with years ago
using some ancient magic from a lover of cats. The animal
likes to climb on so much stuff it falls down a lot. So he
made the item for the pet.

        [Sepes 20]

Tonight just after sunset, Arawn is attacked by a Boar. But
the Alfar seemed to have heard the creature just as it got near.
The Druid avoids the tusks and is able to stab the beast. After
all some can use a nice feast.

Arawn blesses him 3 more times in practice. Then he casts Elf
Shot and Fatal Spear but the Elf Shot fails to enchant the arrow.
He dispels the spear and then changes into a Raven for a bit of
flight around the area. He then casts Healing Mist and Fist
of battle for practice. He casts Power Strike, Flaming Death
and Shadow Sculpt but all three fail.

        [Sepes 21]

Today Arawn is meditating near the citadel lake. He notices
a group of 5 peasants moving around the perimeter of the lake. It
is to Arawn as they seem to skirt the wizards and their practice.
Arawn has been here for a month now and has seen it all. The
cruelty of the wizard to student. The way the culture finds
the magicians as the top class and now he can see how the peasants
treat the crust of this society. They are clearly wary and
scared of them. Arawn wishes to correct that but it would take
way too long and step on toes of many like the High Elder. Even
in this human culture there is yet another separation of class.
Is there a culture in the middle world where all are all equal?

        [Seeps 23]

Arawn is visiting the Elder domain again and is outside the
cottage of the Master here Arawn is talking to the Elder Master,
two apprentices and a guard. They are talking about stars and
the way navigation is done as well as ritual magic done by the
        stars.

Suddenly arrows fly out from the darkness and seen by the
campfire in front. Two arrows hit the guard and one apprentice
and they are immediately paralyzed. Arawn can see in the bushes
        a Daoine Sidh.

Arawn alerts the others as he draws his sword. The shield is
on his horse a good 50 feet away. The master immediately casts
a spell to hide himself against the house to merge into it. The
        student backs away and waits.

Arawn charges as two more arrows shoot out. Both fly toward
the Alfar but he does a flip and they miss. Now in melee range
the three Daoine sidh charge out of the bushes.

One attacks Arawn and the other two charge to find the other
people. The Elder master and student both waited and was
rewarded with spells cast. The Master casts a lightning spell
and the student casts a smokeless flame. Both target scream
as they are hit. Arawn slices the one in front of him doing
        good damage.

The Doaine attack Arawn using a club of some kind and does
no damage past his armor. The two other wizards leave their
cover and attack with their war staff and sword. They kill
the smoking two sidh. Arawn then stabs the creature in the
heart doing the final damage to kill him.

Arawn finds the two elven bows and 7 arrows. He decides
to give one of the master and half the arrows as a reward
for helping them fight the creatures.

Arawn does not find any other magical items on the dead
        creatures.

Arawn purifies the ground then casts a Knowledge and Inner
Revelation spells. Then he tries to change into a fish but fails.
He does practice Fist of Battle as well.

        [Sepes 24]

Arawn knows that today he has to return to Sivas for the party
at the tavern. He could always return but who knows what the future
will give. That early morning before sunrise he casts blessings on
himself 3 time. Then practices Elf Shot and Fatal Spear but the
spear spell fails. He then practices Power Strike and flaming
        death but both fail.

Once the sun rises Arawn says good bye to Zhou, Oby Wan and
a few others. Then he translocates directly to Sivas landing
on the roof of Chion's tavern.

          Next Update....Friday?..

GM: Whew! That one was a tough IBT. I suspect Z'leyra's
will be tougher but we shall see. When I did the
files for Arawn I goofed on the columns. So the above
is not my normal neat alignment. Oh well. Right now
I spent the last 4 days doing nothing for the first
time this year. I had finished Will's and Arawn's
IBT and waited. Got Arawn's approval tonight and
waiting to hear from Will to post. His was VERY easy
to finish in only a day and half. Will post his
when I hear back and start on Z'leyra's soon I hope.
Then we are done and ready to start.

GM: IBT edits - Arawn had a bunch of edits for the above
encounters. Most were changes to add Magic. Sadly
I've said this before but I can't do magic at the
end as it would be very difficult to back track the
day and find the mana and such. So magic can't be
added AFTER. Now during I also have said before I
do not do magic as I don't speak for characters and
that would upset some me spending tons of mana for
unwanted spells. So unless you state previously
to use magic I do not do them at all. This is why
I depend on skills. I will edit IBT to add things
to do or say if able to do but will not do magic
due to the complex nature it would need. I
could do day by day and post each encounter to
a person but it would be YEARS doing so. Even if
a person replied once a day for a encounter that
would be 45 days. So this is why I do all IBT
encounters on my own using the basic outlines and
guidelines given. With 45 days one could do 90
encounters (1 day and 1 night). So it would be
too cumbersome sending back and forth to approve
this and that UNLESS it was critical. Most
encounters are 99% fluff and even possible red
herrings. Maybe 1% if that are important so if you
see a being appear and think it will change your life
it could but likely it was just filler in for
an encounter of - "pilgrims seeking to appease their
god". :) Since I randomly do motivations on Burton's
              charts.

GM: Kiet - Did I send you the info on the magical shield
Kell made for you? I think I did but can't recall.
              If not let me know.

GM: Fremea - Arawn gives you the spare elven bow and the 4
              arrows from the above encounters.

GM: Language file updated: Looks like we have some 35
slots till left technically. Would have to be in Sivas
to use the language necklace. Let me know if you want
to use it. See link on game site.
