      [Recap]

         From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea takes time to talk about most of what she did in the
city, she does mention the new place of her own and she talks
about the housing for the kids she helped out.
           _____________________
Turning to Kell, "I do not know the relationship of Etain ...

She waits to hear from Arawn on all the different information
that just came across the table.
         GM: Ack.

         From Kell: [Re: Actions]
He takes the slip from Fremea with a nod.

Turning serious Kell replies, "Etain sounds like a scumbag."

[What does Kell notice/know about the slip? Anything?]
         GM: Ack.

         From Kiet: [Re: Actions]
"Um...exactly how many of us have had gang problems?"
         GM: Ack.

         From Kiet: [Re: Actions]
"Actually," Kiet says glancing over to Kell with one
         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Arawn had listened to everything shared in still inscrutable

"There are many questions to ask, but many I will not ask...
         GM: Ack.

         From Fremea: [Re: Info]
"The one thing I have not said yet is that Etain is an...
         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
"Interesting... and not in a good way," Arawn replied,...
         GM: Ack.

         From Kell: [Re: Actions]
He examines it, both sides, and even uses his mana sensing
on it. After this is done, the half-elf casts detection twice
on the slip. [First detection is for any residual body bit,
hair blood etc. The second detection is a general detect
making sure there's nothing magical or special about the
           parchment]
           ---
"Etain an elf? Ha! Why does this not surprise me..."
GM: Ack. Mana Sensing nothing. First detection yes. But
without pinpointing it could be Vong, Faerry or even
Human "bits." The parchment is clearly stained with
sweat and age. Second detection no magic found.

      [New Stuff]

          [Sepes 24th, 1634TH]
[Location: Sivas, Marentia - Cholan's Tavern]
          [Time: late afternoon-early evening - 5pm-]

Before Fremea gives the details of her quest she talks
about her past 7 weeks. Tells how she is proud to have found
a home for some kids who were on the street. They were very
badly mistreated by some vile man. As she spends the time
talking she gives great gestures waving hands up and down and
even her ears seem to twitch. She beams talking about the
kids and it is clear this is what makes her happy. Those
around the table can see that kids soften her heart. But
others see it as a possible weakness.

Kiet returns from the outhouse and used the time to sit
on his personal throne thinking. He asks the others. "Um...
exactly how many of us have had gang problems?" Kiet has a
          suspicious look on his face.

Cholan pours water in to some of the mugs for those who
are still eating their meals. He leans down and tells
Kiet, "gangs have always been a issue in any city. I've
seen them as far west as Fomoria to as far east as Teos.
Where ever you find kids you will find gangs. Some are
actually ruled by leaders tied to large organizations or
even some city leaders." Then he moves back toward the bar.

As the evening wages on the fireplace begins to wan a bit.
Fremea gives the details of the quest. All but Will seems
to have already agree to the quest. Then Kell asks about this
          Etain person.

Turning to Kell, "I do not know the relationship of Etain with
the royals, only that he seems to have a lot of influence with
them and was my slaver for almost my whole life. So, I am sure
he has been very upset I have been gone. As for the painting,
here is the purchase slip of it," she hands Kell the document
that was found on the painting. "Maybe you can get more
          information than me from it."

Kell takes the slip from Fremea with a nod.

Turning serious Kell replies, "Etain sounds like a scumbag."
Glancing at Kiet who gives a nod back, "Kiet and I will hold him
down and bind him for you. Or help with any other, well, we will
help as much as you want when we find him. For as long as you
want..." trailing off with a nasty look in his eyes, one that
Kiet has also. Thinking back to how slavers have impacted his
life and his hatred of all of them, whilst personally thankful
          he was never a slave.

Holding up the slip and examining it, "I'll see what I can
find. Three days will help. I'll try to find out more about
the painting, Etain, and this pirate Ozon." Taking a sip of
wine to calm himself after hearing the direct and recent
          enslavement she endured.

Kell inspects the small parchment scroll. He realizes
though it is written in Donaran and though he can read six
languages he can't read this one. Arawn helps to translate
it to verbal words so he can memorize it. The note is a bit
stained by sweat and use. It reads as follows:

"The purchase of the Gorlic painting was sold for 13 Gold.
After being displayed for 2 months it was sold to Muon Burz and
sent to his estate in South Salaqara.

If you wish to purchase other such paintings please contact
us and if we have time we will ship notice to you in Samma to
          attend the display event.

For the next few months we do have paintings from the
Xianese painter Cuvan II who is centered on mountain and
          waterfall landscapes.

            Thank you your interest.
Metai Abban, Curator of the Gorzan Gallery, Salaqara
            Apris 14, 318DO"

Kell considers the words and that points to other leads.
But the note is almost five months old. Fremea explains that
it seems Ozon the Thief was interested in the painting based
on Ta'lil's findings. The dead Faerry found in Rising Mount
gave her some of these details and others in a journal that
she has yet to share and may not do so.

Raban looks over a bit confused. "Why would a thief want
a painting? He would just steal it? Makes no sense. You
say this in Salaqara. This means some travel. How do you
intend to do this? Ship could take a few weeks. Riding
through Thaliba and such may take even longer. Chion is not
around to teleport us but it would be faster."

"Actually," Kiet says glancing over to Kell with one eyebrow
raised, "I'd be happy to provide my, er, 'professional services'
to get answers out of him. It's amazing how much you can learn
with just a leather strap." Kiet grins his most innocent grin.

Raban shakes his head, "straps are good for other purposes.
A good set of straps used by a wo-," he notices the women looking
after him and stops. "Well it can be fun. Ask me later." He
          winks at the acrobat.

Arawn had listened to everything shared in still inscrutable
silence. His fair face did not register any sign of a reaction
to Fremea's words or the eagerness of others, only a pervasive
ponderance that had appeared from the onset of the news. Beneath
the surface questions and deep thoughts brewed as was common to
the Alfar and he sat thus for a bit before Fremea's attention
          came to his awareness.

"There are many questions to ask, but many I will not ask
          here and now."

"I can guess at your concern but do not worry," Arawn said
with a gentle smile. "That Etain works for Faerry royalty is a
non-issue. I do not know if he is Sidh or a human acquaintance
but if the Faeries actually knew of your enslavement and did
nothing, or worse, sanctioned it then that would be a most
serious crime unless it was a punishment truly deserved."

The Alfar paused, giving the faerry a look that made it clear
that his words were not a strike at her, any sense of passing
judgement absent from his voice and thought.

"But even then, it would seem a very, very unusual punishment
to enslave a Sidh to humans... and one I cannot imagine a child
          would deserve."

Arawn leaned back in his chair, his hands folding together as
they came to rest upon the table. He looked past the faerry,
something seeming to stir in the depths of his eyes. It was but
a second or two but there was a gravity to him that held one's
attention in a suspension of time before he broke the silence.

"At this time I have my own suspicions as to the motives but
knowing so little it would be hard for me to judge anyone and
anything. Far too many questions remain and it would seem the
only way to discover the answers will be to see this quest
          through to the end."

Arawn then gives her a grim, empathetic smile as he dipped
his head ever so slightly. "I had given you my word and I will
see this through to the end."

"Besides, if wrong is being committed upon the Sidh it will be
my duty to see it ended and punishment given."

Though gentle-hearted there were times that as both Alfar and
druid it fell upon Arawn to enforce the ancient codes of the
Sidh. Usually he preferred gentler methods, efforts to heal and
teach but at times other, harsher methods were required. He
feared that this time it would be the latter but it would not
be a duty he would shirk.

Leaning forward his eyes fell on the slip of paper held in
          Kell's hand. Considering its meanings.

"I can see to transporting us, though I must admit I have never
been to Salaqara and such unknown journeys hold risks. But we can
discuss this later. For now, what more can you tell us of Etain,
the faerry royals and this painting? And how is Jordi tied to
          all of this?"

Z'leyra glances over at the Druid. Jordi was a kind Elf and
reminds her of Arawn though not as regal in bearings. Surely
the diplomat would not be involved in such business.

"The one thing I have not said yet is that Etain is an Elf. I
had not said that because I wanted to see what your thoughts
were first Arawn." As she says this without looking at him. "I
have met other Elves, but none seemed to strike me as opposite
          as you and Etain."

Kell staggers forward in his chair and spits a bit of his
wine out. A Elf? He was not expecting that! A Elf could be
          so cruel to this girl?

Fremea looks toward Will, "I have not heard what you are
wanting to do. I have not gotten to know you, though I have
enjoyed your drawings of scenes and events. What say you?"

Arawn looks ashen and pale as Etain is learned to be a Elf.
A Elf would never betray the Sidh? Surely the man is doing
something for a purpose. The Druid realizes Fremea is trying
to change the subject quickly by turning to Will.

Fremea looks around the room to no one in particular and
looks at some of the paintings on the walls. Clearly these
are cheap reproductions not even a beggar would steal. "As for
the painting, I know nothing more than what is on that paper
and that it has some propheticness to it."

She looks glum, "as for the royals, I do not know much other
than they insisted to take me from my parents. Maybe to raise
me, but things changed or did the enslavement, but I do hope it
was not because I did something wrong."

"Jordi seemed to have run into the faerry that I helped out of
the trap back in the volcano and helped her to find the pirate,
since her brother had been killed by him."

Arawn places a hand on his chin and strokes it a bit. Clearly
Fremea is not saying everything. But she has her reasons and
he figures she will give more details when it is needed. Maybe
if not to save her but the others.

"Interesting... and not in a good way," Arawn replied,
          ruminating on fragments of information.

"The royals... so they claimed you? How was your time with
them and how exactly did you pass from their hands to Etain's?"

Raban looks grim, "may I ask something? These royals are they
the ones in that Avalon place or some like in the Faerry Hill
where there are a Queen or King for that hill? If Avalon they
          are THE royals/"

Kell examines the parchment with a new series of senses. He
detects no mana to it at all. But he has not learned to fine
tune his senses like the other Sidh to rely on the obvious
mana out there. He then casts detection to see if there are
any residue of a person. But the detection is generic and
he can't determine if it was Ta'lil who held the parchment,
Vong or human. The second detection he finds no magic sources
as his mana sense confirms this fact.

Kell then looks up, "Etain an elf? Ha! Why does this not
surprise me..." trailing off and shaking his head.

Raban shakes his head, "Etain a Elf was a slaver? I have
never heard of a Elf having slaves."

          Actions? Comments?

          Next Update....Friday...

GM: A short update. You guys are filling in a lot of stuff
on your own so there is little I need to add to. I like
the interaction. I even like some of the private talk
between folks going on (just remember always CC me any
such emails unless its talking about me and bashing me). :)

GM: Who wanted to use the language I have forgotten already
was it Kiet or Kell for Donaran? Salaqara? Kell already
knows Donaran mildly. Which ever who it is I will sign
you on the list for first slot.

GM: Three days of prep time. So I look at it this way
              Sepes 24 - Evening - now
              Sepes 25, 26, 27 - prep time
Sepes 28 - Morning leave for Donara
If this is wrong our leader Fremea can correct me.
Send in any requests or plans for those 3 days 25-27.
Skills, spells, shopping, etc. I will allow you guys
two weeks to do this. So May 13th update should be done.
If folks finish early we can move on. If folks need
more time let me know. But I figure 2 weeks is enough
time to get things done for it.

GM: Raban is the only NPC in the group. So he will be my
voice. I originally was not going to have him in the
adventure but Tobie requests it There may be more npcs
later but for now I will act as if John would have done.

GM: Let's see as a reminder to me. Fremea is waiting on info
on something. Kell on pirate/painting. Damon is being
reached for the pirate info as well. I believe that is
all info that is being sought out at this time.
