[pnpgm] Game Update #180 - File #1300 - Helping kids

   "I could see to their housing, care and education in Sivas or Maren, but only if they wish to go."

   "And one of my companions," Arawn said, thinking of Fremea, "already has such a place with other children present, educated and cared for. If not, then I will prepare things for when they grow up and wish to pursue an education and their future."

   "Either way, I shall see to their, and your village, needs until such time."

OOC: Supplies, food for winter, animals, etc., checking periodically over time.

   It's been fun everyone and hopefully I'll be able to jump back at some point in the future. But I'll be keeping an eye out until then as a lurker in whatever the new game will be:)

   In the aftermath of the battle Arawn made sure to collect as
much of the mother's ashes as possible. It would be passed on to family
unless he felt guided to try and restore her form, but such things were
fraught with risks.


   Yet there is very little material maybe a thimble size due
to it blowing away and total ashed out by Kiet's rings.

        [Time:
8:06 pm – Marentian eastern village]


   “Do we stay together to avoid trouble from strangers &
our unknown enemies? It sounds like a good idea to me, but I don't know
for sure. I do know I need to see my girl in Ma'Helas, and that's another
ocean voyage away – and I need all my belongings with me for that
journey, since I hope to get married.” He then blushes rosily at what
just popped out of his mouth.


   Later, after the siblings were returned to life and reunited
with their sister, Arawn knelt to speak with them. He made sure that both
the village elder and any relatives were present as well.


   "I wish to ensure that they will be taken care
of," he said, looking from the children then to the adults. "If
you'll have it, I'll would like to present myself as a patron. You'll be
cared for, given a proper education, and every opportunity for a good
life."


   The Elder narrows his eyes slightly.  “We are a simple
village.  Nearest city is the capital a couple days away.  WE
do have to worry about L'p'nth but we live simple lives.  We deal in
barter and not coin.  To give them this education you'd have to send
them to Maren and I'm not sure who could watch them unless a boarding
school.”

        [After
kids depart]


   With some among the party voicing their desire to locate the
ship and the equipment they stowed aboard the alfar gave a nod. Thinking
over the time that had passed in the Middle World it would make sense the
ship might have returned to Sivas. And with at least some of the party
likely desiring to return to the city it only made sense to translocate
the party back.


   "I'll translocate us back to Sivas. If we're lucky the
vessel and crew will be docked there. If not, then we can use it as a
starting point from which I can scry the boat's location."


   Knowing the restored children will be weakened Arawn
approached Z'leyra.


   "The children, though alive, will not be quite as
robust as they once were," he informed her. "Would you be
willing to craft an item to make up for this. I would gladly pay for the
items and service."


   Melting some gold she will craft three stud style earrings
for those that Arawn requested items for. Collecting and enhancing enough
of her saliva to lessen the casting cost in the purified circle she
creates, she will enchant each of them with a permanent constitution
boost for the wearer at the maximum EL that she can (mostly using mana
from her mana batteries).


   Once enchanted she will pierce the ears and effectively
rivet the stud to the recipient's ear.


   Later, she will craft and enchant an axe and other items for
the various members of the party that feel they could use such items.

A short update.  John/Arawn is going to bow out for next adventure.
Would possibly join in once IRL settles.  Will be a big loss as he
is a great player like all Johns aka Raban and such.  Great rping
and memory. :) 'do you recall what happened 4 years ago in this scene?'
Hmm no. :) Detailed player is John.  Which is great.  So my
next step is to figure out future IBT time.  I like to alternate
between short (days/weeks) to long (months).  So need to see how
long last IBT was.  Then you guys can figure out possible future IBT
stuff as I hone up on new game system.  Speaking of which good and
bad news.  Bad news is I thought I had paper books but I loaned them
to a friend.  :< Good news possible pdfs.  But I'm not fond
of PDFs myself.  Good news.  I have the top 3 games to
run.  A good landslide for #1.  But I will announce later
Tue/wed.  I want to do resource collection and do some
research.  While #2 game I have all in computer files and such I'd
be ready with it asap.  But Game #1 I'd have to re-learn as its been
a long time.  That may take a few weeks.  So in that time you
could work on IBT time and I'll deal with that later once new adventure
ends.

pnp?

Thanks for over 25+ years of pnp service.  Great job.  May I
use the same mailing list for next adventure? If not cool.  Since
its non pnp.

        So stay
tuned.  Few days I'll give details on next adventure.  If not
sooner. I still need to know when teleport to Sivas is? Tonight or next
day? When?
