Fremea is very excited that it worked. She will have to see if there is a way to increase the area. However, now that there is only a few left, she will be having other fun.
She casts Concealing Mist (Max EL) and pulls out her daggers to do a bit of trimming of the crew. Taking them down as quickly as she can. Once there is only a one left, she will subdue and use her Mind Foyson spell to drain him of Int, permanently.

Also, if the helsman is still alive she will have him fight the others till he is done.

        [Recap]

   From Raddok: [Re: Actions]

        [2:15-2:16
approx.]

        Raddok is
returning to his shelter amidships when Dorhak...

GM: Ack. I know you're eager to use ring hopefully
soon. No real need to hide on ship as ranges are way too far.
Remember hide range is about 310 feet or so since bows can do 300
feet. Beyond that no need. Good post.

   From Dorhak: [Re: Actions]

        The captan
announces "I’m not intending to attack the ship ….

   GM: Ack.

   From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions[

        Z'leyra will land
on the deck (cancelling her levitation spell) and look for Arawn. Upon
finding him she will cast Quarrels and max EL through her staff,
(excluding herself and Arawn) Then attempt to cast levitate at max EL on
herself and Arawn and teleport both back in front of and above the
party's ship.

GM: Ack. Finding a invisible dude. Fun times.

   From Mournath: [Re: Actions]

        replying with an
'aye-aye captain' Mournath prepares to...

   GM: Ack.

        [New
Stuff]

        [Apris
27th, 1636TH]

        [Time:
2:15:56 pm]
        [Turn 26:
Phase 2 - [Phase 218]]

Fremea is pleased with her use of the ancient relic.
She can see the major power of the item if used in the middle of some
throne room. A good third possibly half the crew kills themselves.
Maybe its time to finish it up with her last use of the relic today.

She hovers above the pirates which are now recovering from
the ship hitting the beach. A good 2/3rds of those left were
knocked to the deck. Course many lost weapons as well so it could
be a fast and furious brawl.

Fremea invokes the magic of the item once again. In
the first round 8 fight among themselves – with 3 wounded and 1 more
death. The next few seconds 10 fight but mostly with fists and
elbows with only 2 being wounded. Next round 10 fight with 1
wounded and 5 more deaths. Next few moments 15 fight each other
with 1 more wounded and 1 more death. Next phase sees 7 fights and
only 1 wounded. Then 3 fight making 1 wounded and 1 more death.
Eight fight next with 1 wounded and 1 more death. Finally 8 fight
with 1 wounded and 1 last death. So in these few seconds 8 are
wounded, with 11 more deaths. There were 61 individual fights.

Fremea estimates 13-15 left?. At least 4 are not even
wounded but it looks like around 9 or so are bleeding or wounded.
Maybe its time to get to the dirty work.

------------------------

        [Time:
2:15:56 pm]
        [Turn 26:
Phase 2 - [Phase 218]]

Raddok is returning to his shelter amidships when Dorhak
calls out to everyone to gather. After hearing that the Captain wants to
capture the pirate ship ahead of them, intact, he decides that maybe he
should be careful about using the ring & causing any more fire damage
that might put risk to the plan.

He watches in surprise as the fore ship suddenly veers east
toward shore and runs aground about twenty or thirty feet from the beach.
There appears to be fighting on its decks - very confusing to Raddok,
since no one seemed to be there but pirates. He glances back at the now
somewhat-distant pirate vessel behind them - it seemed to be at a dead
stop, its masts & sails down.

"We're winning?" he thinks. But where's Arawn? If
he's on the ship now far behind them, they will have to turn back &
rescue him. His thoughts race. He might still be able to use the ring,
but he suddenly remembers he could not see why the ship in front turned -
was there a friend there? Wait - the faerry - Fremea! And Z'leyra had
just disappeared, too. If they're invisible then other friends might be
also. He couldn't risk firing the ring when they might be hit. He got
angry - if he saw a mass of archers - or any pirates - approach against
his friends, he would be pleasure to shoot a very long-range fisted punch
with the fire ring when he could see those villains' faces, nearly beside
their own ship - followed by his great sword. The warrior in him was
smoldering now.

All these thoughts occur within a minute or so, tumbling
into his consciousness. He turns, adrenalin rising, still crouched behind
the lockers, to look at Dorhak nearby, waiting to see the Captain's next
step of the plan. He will go wherever Dorhak orders him to go. He wants
action!

The captain announces, "I’m not intending to attack the
ship to our stern, but I think we can head back that way.
Mournath! Circle around but don’t approach within 200' of that
other ship"?

Barbosa frowns and approaches Dorhak, “you let others gain
glory?' He lowers his voice, “I'm shamed enough. I need
glory.” He waves his hands around as if to show the ship circling
and circling. “No glory.” Then stomps off.

Zepp then approaches Dorhak, “I still say leave no
witnesses.” He points to beached ship. “The hold can break
soon and water rush in. Ruins booty.”

Dorhak considers these things including losing a good amount
of treasure. Even though that loot was probably stolen from
innocents. Then again this close to Dechan maybe they are empty
holds not having a chance to collect treasure?

Replying with an “aye-aye captain”, Mournath prepares to do
Dorhak's bidding, swinging the wheel and judging the distances.

The ship turns and heads back west. Now the beached
ship is 630 feet or so away and gaining distance. The stalled ship
is now 1,380 feet. Since facing the winds and the swift current the
overall speed is reduced. At this rate it may take 2 minutes before
get within the 200 feet range of stalled ship.

        [Time:
2:16:24 pm]
        [Turn 28:
Phase 2 - [Phase 228]]

------------------------

        [Time:
2:15:56 pm]
        [Turn 26:
Phase 2 - [Phase 218]]

Z'leyra lands on the pirate deck ending her levitation
spell. She lands to the side to avoid the heavy foot traffic in the
center areas. She scans the aft section. But sees no
Arawn. She scans the forward and center areas. But again
there is no sign of the Alfar.

The Shaman-Wizard then takes a few seconds to scan the
pirates and deck. No sing of blood. If the report of the tossed
pirate is true why no blood? She studies the crew and discovers the
Captain, Helmsman and First mate quickly by their actions and
orders. The Captain is talking to 3 pirates so edges that way and
tries to listen. But she does not understand the language.
The first mate is at the front of ship trying to figure out why ship is
stalled and yelling at pirates to fix it. She may not understand
the words but the meaning is clear.

As she nears the captain she notices his body language and
he keeps eyeing the stairs below and after 3 glances there turns to the
Black Depths. Pirates begin to move fast again as it seems the Depths is
coming back to finish the job.

Z'leyra is smart enough if a prisoner is taken to put them
below decks to avoid quick rescues. But if she is wrong and Arawn
dies in those precious seconds?

Z'leyra steps gently down the stairs. The ocean is
loud but squeaky steps give her away. She gets to the bottom of the
stairs and looks left and right. Finn always said most pirate ships have
large holds but no berths – if any. So if the layout is
same hold should be to the left.

She turns that way but spots a tall pirate moving her way to
the stairs. He has his hands in his pocket and looks bored. Z'leyra
steps aside so he can pass and she can move to the hold.

But suddenly 2 feet away the man jerks both hands out of his
pockets. He tosses a huge pile of sand right at Z'leyra's head. The
sand pelts her dragon helm and amber nose guard and Z'leyra reels back in
pain from now being blind. But a half second before sand hits her
she sees the other hand reaching for her. It is glowing bright
orange.

Z'leyra can hear nearby flapping winds like birds? Is
Corona here or other birds?

Z'leyra can feel the heat of the orange hand on her neck but
nothing seems to be happening. She recalls in her mind what pirate
had – a dagger and sword. But how could he see her? She did get the
warning from her clairvoyance spell but he was faster than she could
react.

Then Z'leyra hears 2-3 sets of foot steps from the left area
coming this way. She hears Orange-Hand man curse under his breath.

Z'leyra digs up memories of sparring with Unali
blindfolded. Time to use those skills to good use.

        Next
Update...Saturday?

        GM: Sorry
for delay. Staff revolted Saturday so lost that day. But it
was a shorter update than expected. I did get a lot done last
Friday for Fremea's combat rolls. So other stuff was faster than
expected. So 2 minutes to get within 200 feet of other ship.
Not sure how long I'll do next update. I may do just 2 phases since
Z has combat. So sadly other players may be bored. :< I
figured a good pirate boarding fight would be easy experience for group
but alas. Guess only a couple will get experience.

        GM:
Z'leyra – Will have eyes clear soon in few phases. But till
then. Your in same hallway style area as player ship. About 5
feet wide so can fit 2 side by side in a pinch. Stairs are up to
left a few feet but another half dozen or so steps to top deck.

Fremea – Quarrels are gone for relic. What now?
Keep in mind ship is being battered by waves from behind.

All others: Sorry not much action for you guys. :<
