       [Recap]

         From Mae: [Re: Actions]

         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
           IC:
"Probably," came Arawn's wearied reply to the ...

(OOC: effective Appearance of 115) and the man's taste's to
gain the sailor's trust, thus hopefully avoiding any resistance
           to his spell.

           OOC:

Arawn will use Acting and Rhetoric along with Appearance
Modifier to use Influence Chance to get the sailor to agree
to having a beneficial' spell cast on him/not resist the
Forgetfulness. Forgetfulness at max EL, using his wand and the
Sidh Tongue to boost. Using the variation to alter the sailor's
memory so that he 'remembers' being chased by some drunks,
brawling and then waking up to find the party assisting him to
his feet in hopes of avoidng future legal issues for the party.
           Recast if needed.

If this succeeds Arawn will ask the man to return to the tavern
so Arawn can 'possibly meet him for a drink later', in case the
party has need to question him further in the future.
         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
           OOC:

           *****
? - The 'scouting' comment was me posting for Arawn in
response to Damon saying Fremea just flew off toward the ship.
Arawn would have hoped/assumed scouting due to the risk Fremea
would have taken saving them alone plus due to the fact that
Enhanced Sapphire makes it impossible for her to get angry/hate
           for any reason.

           [RE: Mae's gm comments..]
           *****
I'm guessing this is referring to the succubus innate power,
Seduction, which is permanent as listed under their Creature
description short of an Exorcism, Negate Curse, or Death. As
written and short of adjustment, theirs is a particularly nasty
one as ANY agreement to a request causes automatic success WITHOUT
needing to roll for spell success, so particularly nasty - 'Could
you hold that door open for me for just a moment?' - person
politely holds the door open - BAM! - Auto permanent Seduction!!!

           *****
A bit late now to worry about correcting things but Arawn
wouldn't have asked redundant questions (as it seems Dorhak
asked some... ust didn't know this at the time I posted as no
one replied to the Q&A post) and could have saved some time (if
it still matters), being able to tell the truth behind the
sailor's replies to Dorhak's questions by casting Hidden Truth
while Mae was enchanting the man:) *****

           IC:
[Time: After Arawn's attempt to alter the sailor's memory, posted as
a reply to the post for Mae, and after sending the sailor back
to the tavern for now or otherwise being able to talk to the
party out of earshot of the sailor]

"Not good. Not good at all," he said, concern in his...

OOC: If the party decides to move on foot Arawn will ride ahead
with Corsaya to scout out a spot in case he feels pressure to
ride back and Translocate the group closer to the ship,
GM: Ack You said scouting? Hmmm. I checked using a keyword
search for scout and didn't find that comment. So if it was
a post I never got it. Unless it was during the mix of posts
the update before last? Then I may have forgot it. I just
assume since it was quoted in last update it covered posts
in that update cycle. :) Since it was posted both spells
I did the one first posted Fascinate. Never cast the other
one. Doing both could lead to issues. But there is risk with
taking pets for humans be it not so innocent but especially
innocent humans. Gods would not favor much of that. Its the
same as taking slaves. :) As to redundant questions I figured
you would. Its a common interrogation tactic. To ask the
same question over and over to check for slips and such. No
good place to translocate. I mean its half a mile by time
you run it'd be over. Plus its too busy a area to just jump
randomly. Another issue is a large group of oddly dressed
and geared - no dock looking folks - approach a ship that
             will bring attention. :)

         From Dorhak: [Re: Actions]
Dorhak reaches out to stop Arawn from healing the sailor.

ooc: Dorhak may need something explained to him...?
GM: Ack. Explained what? :) How a guy likes another dude?
If hadn't had that beard he may have taken a liking to
             you as he did Damon/Kiet.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Arawn continued to smile as he looked over to Dorhak,...

           "Oh, I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding. We'll get...

OOC: If possible Arawn would say this in an obscure language
the sailor would likely not know, (supernatural tongues or
kameran, for example) if I, the player, could recall what
languages both he and Dorhak shared.
         GM: Ack.

         From Pyan: [Re: Actions]
Pyan starts to say, "If he deserves a lump you can give him a
fresh one." But then decides against it. --- It is with..
GM: Ack. There is never a dumb action/post so if you wanted
to say it then say it. :)

         From Dorhak: [Re: Actions]
A quick shift of his gaze, from Dorhak to Pyan,...

       [New Stuff]

[Marqi Frisda 23rd, 1636TH; Sivas, Marentia]
[Time: 10:26:25 am] - Sivas City Docks District

Maelorna sighs, considering it's the second human she's
attempted to make a pet. She isn't certain how they're
supposed to act, especially given how Zin acted. "I wonder if
it matters their orientation?" she muses as she looks at the
           sailor.

"You don't like being tied up? It's quite fun in the bedroom
I can assure you," she teases him, "However, sad to say, you
have to die now, any last words?" she asks in mock sadness, as
she starts to lean forward to kiss him and drain his life, the
smile on her face is both hungry and predatory.

Sailor leans back as she leans forward and shakes his head.
"Is this torture? Have him do it then." He leans and nods
           toward Damon and grins slightly.

Mae's inner voice laughs so loud it begins to annoy Mae making
her wonder how to cut it out of her brain! It cackles and cackles.

"Probably," came Arawn's wearied reply to the question of
           orientation.

"And she's just joking," he said, feigning mirth as he looked
the entranced sailor in the eye. He glanced at Mae to ward her
off from killing the innocent sailor even as he pulled his wand
           free.

"Now let me see to healing that bump," he said, taking
advantage of his own otherworldly looks

Dorhak reaches out to stop Arawn from healing the sailor.
"Hold on, now laddie. This is no wide eyed innocent. He pulled
a dagger on me and attacked. He deserves every lump received
           an then some!"

Sailor looks up at the dwarf. "I was just told to keep
you here. I have no idea why. I mean do you own the crew
           gold or something?"

Arawn continued to smile as he looked over to Dorhak, giving
him a conspirational wink that the dwarf, though not the sailor,
           could see.

"Oh, I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding. We'll get him
right as rain and he can wait at the tavern for us so we can
have a chance to have a drink with him later."

Continuing to hide his face from the sailor's view the Alfar
leaned in to whisper so only Dorhak could hear, "Please trust
me and play along. I'll explain after."

Pyan starts to say, "If he deserves a lump you can give him a
fresh one." But then decides against it. --- It is with books
as with the fire in our hearths; we go to a neighbor to get the
embers and light it when we return home, pass it on to others,
           and it belongs to everyone.

Dorhak notices the hunter open his mouth and shut it and
wonders if the hunter can actually speak. While Pyan never said
a word his body language was pretty clear.

A quick shift of his gaze, from Dorhak to Pyan, resulted in
a brief, wry grin. Subterfuge did not seem to be either
gentlemen's strong suit. But he hoped that familiarity would
change that in time as they spent more time around the more
subdued and subtle of the group.

Arawn took a moment to run his fingers through the sailor's
hair as he wrapped things up, allowing a few strands to collect
in his palm in case it proved handy later. Helping the man to
his feet he sent him off before mounting Corsaya to speed ahead
of the others towards the docks.

[Time: 10:23:00 am] - Sivas City Docks District
[Moments after Fremea casts sleep mist.]

The man moves toward the stern where the fallen sailors are.
They are alive, and appear to only be unconscious. It is
puzzling for he can see nothing that could have caused this,
and he backs slowly away a short distance and scans the ship
and sky, but sees or smells nothing unusual - just the sailors.
An armed guard runs to the stairwell & calls for help, and
he backs away from the group, wishing he had his weapons
with him. He was beginning to feel very uneasy.

He didn't really like these "foreign" guards, or mercenaries
whatever they were - and he had been unable to strike up any
conversation with them since he had been hired. This was
altogether too strange a ship. First, they were eager to hire
him, for his mining skills & especially for his experience in
working with dwarves. He greatly respected the dwarf miners he
had known. Their magical skill in weaponcraft was legendary and
he had felt very honored when they announced him as "Dwarf
Friend." He had looked forward to working with such craftsmen
again, but as the days went by, things didn't seem quite right.
First of all, he had been warned away from entering the third &
lowest deck. The captain had even wanted to refuse him the
freedom of being on the upper deck, out in the open, but he
flatly stated that he would not be confined below decks &
they could just fire him if they insisted. Most of this
conversation was in mixed Fomorian-Cerulean which the Captain
knew, but most of the crew either didn't know these trading
tongues, or they chose to pretend not to understand. He had
found himself left pretty much to himself, although there were
always some of the crew that seemed to keep him under an
informal guard. He did not try to go the lowest deck & spent
less and less time in his cabin on the 2nd deck, because the
smell coming from below was starting to penetrate the very walls
of the ship. If it weren't illegal, he's think they were
carrying slaves, but maybe they had just put a weird spell on
the wine, a valuable cargo according to the captain -
           and worth protecting.

The fallen crew were starting to arouse now, and he moved
forward to help a couple of them to their feet, when suddenly
they were in a rain of arrows appearing from nowhere. The man
took a quick look around and dove between two large crates
nearby, wishing he had his shield and mace. He had been
discouraged from carrying them & no one had disturbed his sea
chest (provided by the ship for its few passengers), so he was
unarmed & scared - and angry. He thought to himself "What in
the name of the gods is happening? This is a civilized nation
I'm supposed to be parked in!" He tried to spot the archer or
archers but saw the very strange sight of a heavy rope rising
to be wrapped around a spar. When he saw the Faerry suddenly
appear above the ship, he was stunned. "A Faerry here? What in
the three worlds is she doing? I thought they were friendly,
if tricksters. Why is she on the warpath?" He ducked down out
of sight as one of the sailors shoved his way into apple-man's
           hiding place.

The next few minutes were a mix of shouting, screams and
curses and a mad scramble that the man could only hear, as he
kept his head down. Whatever had he gotten into? He didn't
           understand.

                                         ----------------

[Time: 10:26:25 am] - Sivas City Docks District

Fremea glances at the man now standing alone on the deck.
She steps forwards and says, "Boo!" The man steps back a bit
startled. Fremea then looks behind her to see the deck clear
of moving targets. She then remembers to look up to ensure no
one is in crows nest or rigging. But sees nothing. She glances
to the back of the ship and sees bodies. The only good hiding
spot left are the storage lockers. She pulls her dagger and
the man steps back. She stalks the lockers to ensure no one else
is alive hiding. She circles it once and then checks inside as
she watches the lone man. But she finds no one hiding.

Fremea notices to the east the sailors swimming away. The half
dozen or so of them are almost across the water to the next ship
berth about 80 feet away. Sailors on that ship - it looks like
a courier or light merchant ship - are helping the sailors aboard
their ship. She frowns that taking them out would be a bit of
a problem. But it won't be long before someone gets help in terms
of city guards over here. She twirls around to face the lone
man and grins as he raises his hands.

             Fremea stares at the apple-man.

Then it got quiet. His self-invited companion grabbed his
shoulders & he looked up to see the Faerry watching them, her
bow drawn. "There should be a better reason than this - this
mess - to be dying." He started to slowly stand, when the
terrified sailor behind him suddenly shoved him out from behind
the boxes into the open. The Faerry fired upon the sailor & he
fell. Then she turned to face the man - and smiled. He shuddered,
in spite of his effort to stand straight and steady. Not
knowing what else to do, he slowly spread out his arms to show
he carried no weapon, and said, first in Fomorian, then Cerulean,
           "% %^#^^####, #%#$#### # %#$## #$@# #$$." Flashes of memory,
his home, his foster parents, and Gallinda, passed through his
mind & he began to get angry. He didn't want to die for no good
reason. He gathered himself to try to be civilized and bowed
his head slightly toward the Faerry (my, she was really pretty,
but that frown was frightening) He spoke again. "%% ###
           %#$%#$$$$$ #$? $#$$ ## %%# #$$$?"

Fremea does not understand a word the man is saying. But his
body gesture and body language seem to indicate surrender or
submission. Fremea waves her dagger in a way to say 'if you cross
           me you die' gesture.

At the same time in the hold.

Mournath stares at the angry dwarf mob.

Life has certainly been strange lately. Shipwrecked months
ago he ran into these generous persons who shared their food,
fire, and companionship with me. Separated from then, I know
not how, I've been making my way the best a sailor knows how.
It seems my choice of boats and captains was a poor one.
Slavers! No end of troubles there. Blockade-runners and
smuggling are time-honored ways for a craft seaman to make a
living, but slavery? Bah, best to pick up my spear now and
help in what small way I can.

"I'm not WITH these dog slavers" whispers Mournath "...at
least not intentionally. I signed on as an able-bodied
seaman, nothing more or less. It seemed strange to me how
little of the ship I was allowed to walk, and when I had the
chance I went exploring. I find the lot of you here --and
slaves-- of which I knew nothing about. Give me half a moment
to collect my spear and belongings and I'll do what I can to
help you and this miserable lot to escape!"

Unali cringes at the term 'dog slavers'. Did he just call the
dwarves dogs? Oh dear. The dwarves seem to not understand but
the tone of his voice seems to urge them forward.

The blind girl speaks. "Please, don't hurt him. He's on our
side... I think..." the blind female tries to plead with the
now angry dwarves. She has to hold on to the wolf now to not
fall over because she is still pretty weak from being given
barely any food or water while she was prisoner, and attacking
those sailors had understandably been not the best of ideas,
but she was just so angry at her captors in that moment. She
heard the man at the stairs too late. The only weapon that
had been returned to her was her cane, so she didn't have
anything to throw at him, and she knew no offensive spells,
not that it mattered anyway, as her focus wasn't on her either.

As she speaks she loosens her leather pants rope and it falls
to the ground then jerks off her leather top. The dwarves stare
at the almost naked girl as well as the man behind Unali.

Unali senses the well designed distraction as the tension
in the man's arm lessens a bit. She knows the man could simply
jag forward a half inch and she's dead. But he is on her strong
right side. She takes a deep breath and reacts as a coiled
acrobatic snake. She raises her right arm toward the arm of the
man using it as a brace and shield. She lifts with all her might
even with less atrength from a awkward position and moves the
arm away a couple inches. At the same time she twirls 45 degrees
and raises her left dagger to use leverage to further uplift the
           man's own dagger.

Unali finds the strength of her and the man oddly equal and
there is a sudden impasse. Before the man can use his own leverage
by shifting his body, Unali does a sweep with her right leg
and forces the man to stumble backwards. Now free of immediate
danger the man tries to regain his balance.

That's when the wolf leaps toward the man. The man yelps
in alarm and turns toward Unali who raises a dagger and tries
to bash the man's head. The first dagger hits the man's head
and he steps back but isn't knocked out. The man swipes his
own dagger at Unali cutting across her chest doing 3 points of
damage before she can deflect it.

Mournath notices the blind girl seem to shift and elongate.
Bones twist and harden. She grits her teeth as the human
girl suddenly changes into a panther. At least that is what
           it looks like to Mournath.

The man looks back just in time to see the wolf leap onto his
back knocking him to the ground. Unali moves forward and taps
his left temple and he falls unconscious.

Then Unali is startled by a large animal leaping over the map
and around the wolf. The long sleek animal that looks like
a large cat of some kind heads the stairs running.

Unali does a double take and then notices the blind girl is
           missing.

On deck Fremea waves to apple-man to back away further to the
back of the ship. Then she turns toward the stairs down to the
lower decks. With the top deck clean time to see what Unali is
           up to down below.

[Time: 10:27:05 am] - Sivas City Docks District

Back at the docks Arawn casts his forgetfulness spell
as he unbinds the sailor. Arawn helps the man up and
tells him to go to the tavern and wait for him to come
           get a drink.

             "Sure...but who are you guys?"

"WE just found you in the alley have a drink on me we'll
be there soon." Damon slaps the man's back.

"Whatever you say.." The sailor exits the alley and
heads west back the way the general store is. About
half a mile away he tries to recall which tavern. The
man never actually said which tavern. There are like 3-4
in the area! The sailor may not be seen again if he
just hits some random tavern! There is that cute bartender
with the long scar that he could visit. But wait he was to
do some shopping for the ship. Then again maybe he did and
he can't recall. Drink first. Shop later! He heads off
to the tavern in question and hopes the scar-face will be there.

             Back at the alley.

"Not good. Not good at all," Arawn says, concern in his voice.
"Even if there are slaves aboard it seems that at least some of
the crew are unaware... innocent." He looked off in the
direction of the docks, a troubled look on his face.

"Let's hope Fremea hasn't started any trouble yet," he said
before turning his attention back to the party. "I can risk a
group Translocation to an out of the way spot on or near the
dock if you wish. Otherwise, let's get a move on."

"C'mon, lets go!" Z'leyra states as she starts running
           towards the docks.

Z'leyra heads off. Followed by the others as Dorhak grumbles.
This is a bit disorganized maybe some leadership is needed for
           this party!

Arawn rides on the fay horse a bit ahead.

[Time: 10:27:35 am] - Sivas City Docks District

Fremea steps down the steps and notices a very dark
figure moving quickly her way from the left. She pulls
her dagger ready to pounce but the form seems to barrel her
down. She is shoved against the small stairs wall as the black
form leaps up the steps. Fremea looks up to see a cat? What
the heck is a cat dong here? A very large cat indeed on the
deck in the sunlight. Confused Fremea turns around to notice
just in time another form rushing her way. This time she leaps
to the right almost slamming to the deck below as it leaps past
her. She rolls and recovers as she notices now a large
animal that looks like a dog - no a wolf? Leap past up the stairs.
That must be the wolf she saw down below.

Fremea stands and dusts herself off as she moves toward
the hall they came and finds the stairs down. She enters
the hold as she spots Unali disarming a downed man. She
notices two others on the ground in a bloody pulp. The dwarves
           are staring at her.

Up above the apple man notices two large animals appear on
deck. What the heck is going on. The man backs away toward
the very back of the ship. Maybe he could leap off before he
is eaten! Is that a cat and a wolf?

[Time: 10:28:00 am] - Sivas City Docks District

Arawn nears the obvious ship. He can't tell what is on
the deck since the ship is slightly higher than the deck
of the boardwalk itself. But he sees Corona flying over
and circling. Then he notices a wolf and a large cat of
some sort on deck. Standing in the saddle he notices a man
at the very back of the ship leery of the animals.

As the others jog-walk some can see the animals on the
deck and Corona flying over. Arawn has dismounted and
is trying to figure out best to enter the ship.

Arawn sees the gangplank but then from his side vision he
notices the ship down the boardwalk in another berth. There are
sailors climbing up out of the water wet and dripping. They are
pointing at the ship Arawn is near. Sailors on the small
merchant ship are helping the swimmers aboard.

Kiet shields his eyes and notices the cat like animal looks
like a jaguar. On Lemasa he has seen a few before. Large
cat agile beasts. But is that a wolf as well?

Damon stops suddenly and points down the road. He spots
a tall sailor in uniform rounding the corner about 200 feet from
the ship. He notices the man which is now from the party about
500 feet away stop and stare at the ship. He seems to spot
Arawn then suddenly turns around and rounds the corner to the
side road going south. "That man looked like a officer."

As the party moves closer, Arawn watches two sailors from
the other ship who has rescued the swimmers moving down the
street. If they are going after City Guards it will only be
           a matter of time now.

           Next Update....Wednesday?

GM: Sorry for delay. Ran out of time Wednesday since started
late. Would've been done by now. But oh well. So I did
part of this Friday night so I hope it makes a bit of
sense since I'm a bit brain dead tonight and its 11pm.
But figure will get update out so folks can see it.

Now party is more or less together. I can do a map if needed.
But here are some word pictures.

Ship in dock Berth facing South.
Sea of Cholchara to left (North).
Boardwalk runs 3-4 miles west to east.

Second ship small merchant ship is about 80 feet
in another berth to east (forward of party). That
is 80 feet form main ship.

Unali, Mounath, Fremea - Hold 3rd deck in ship.
               Dwarves, guards - Hold
Top deck - Apple Man, Wolf, Jaguar, downed sailors/guards

Arawn - Tiny dock adjacent to ship near gangplank to
               ship.

Dorhak, Kiet, Pyan, Z'leyra, Damon - 500-4500 feet
               from ship west of ship.

Damon's officer is some 200 feet east of second
merchant/rescue ship. 300 feet or so from main
ship. 750-800 feet from other party members on the
               boardwalk to west.

               Hope this helps.

Next update may be a small normal update or a large
2 post update depending on something behind scenes.

Boardwalk is full of folks at any one minute 30-50 in
a given area. So far most are ignoring events on ship.
