Yes, keep her firing on the tree.
She is unhappy at herself for fumbling and then missing a tree. Seriously, a TREE. Maybe she just is to used to missing them when she flys around them.

In general Z'leyra has no problem with worthless or
marginally valuable gems being used for jewelry practice.
Indeed, as a master jeweler she will volunteer to assist and
teach those attempting to learn.
GM: Ack. So I take it you give the worthless gem to Kiet. Ack.

I guess I didn't think about the time involved...maybe just
sing while fighting then finish it out afterwards. It's meant
to be inappropriate!
It's not a great song either. Nor is his voice. And its in
dwarf elder so I doubt anybody really understands it. But it's
what Dorhak does.
Keep on whacking at the shrubbery.
GM: Ack. Its fine a song fits in and is good rp. Just pnp
is game of phases 3 seconds so you do 1 action or say something
in 3 seconds. Unless your a speed talker you can't do those
big fight speeches we see in movie's. :) I do like the rp
aspect though. Great job.

Fremea will notice that Unali is working on the source and
will switch over to killing it there instead of the vines.

The dwarf will continue as he is, hoping to make an
'impression' on the vines with his mace.
GM: Ack. Comedy from a Dwarf? :) Hah!

Though wounded, Mournath holds his ground, shield up ...
extension to keep the vines at bay [still concentrating on
defense of the fallen and not taking risks on the attack.
Also, do we have a campfire lit? if so Mournath will reiterate
that dragging the wounded closer to the fire would be
beneficial] [If the wounded get ambulatory by their own means
or by being dragged, Mournath will follow keeping their retreat
as safe as he can. He tries to shake off the effects of his
own wounds, you say I feel that my energy has been sapped? I
try and power through the feelings of tiredness]
GM: Ack. Pyan was not moved not before he could be healed. If he
moves and that staff slips he could still die. I had hoped by
now Pyan would post something. :< There is a campfire and
at this hour near sunrise its dim. At full blaze its maybe 3
hexes around the fire (30 feet). Now its probably half that.
But its still dim where the group is so difficult to see.
The burning bush did help but its fading. Yes. You do feel
weaker its harder to perceive energy loss but its like running
a marathon without practice. So more tired.
From Kell: [Re; Actions]
Kell will stand guard and try to prevent any damage to Z or
Arawn.
There is a strong urge to find out what is attacking ,and why.
GM: Ack.

[Febris 4th, 1635TH]
[Kameran Lands - Forest South of Kameran capital]
[Time: 4:05:15 am]
[Phase 5]
Corona dives toward one of the Red vines and blasts it with
magic burst from his eyes doing only 3 points but enough to
damage it.
Fremea sees Unali at the tree and banks toward that direction.
She can fire another arrow but could hit Unali. So she figures
she should attack the tree. At this point the attack on the
vines are an attack already so its too late not to attack it.
She knocks the bow and the arrow falls from the bow to the
ground! She is shocked to see her fingers fumble and lose
grip on the arrow. She just hopes no one saw it as firing
on a tree should be easy? The arrow magically induced to
fire burns up as it hits the ground.
Unali with one dagger in the air cleaves at the Red vine
at the base severing it making it useless. She holds up the
other dagger ready for attack.
Arawn checks Pyan and finds he is breathing and his energy
seems to be back to some level of life. But he can't risk
moving the hunter as long as that wand is in place. From his
Alfar eyes he can sense the good it is doing. He recalls what
Kell had talked about when it was made something about a boost
to a person's strength. If Pyan loses that strength he could
either die physically or go into a coma. Arawn helps Z'leyra
stop the bleeding and lets her do the bulk of the healing
even though she doesn't have her satchel.
Though wounded, Mournath holds his ground, shield up and
spear at extension to keep the vines at bay
Kell stands guards with Mournath over Pyan and glances down
at his own wounds. They don't seem to be bleeding too bad
but his armor looks ruined. He glances up t see Fremea fly
toward some tree. A black form is at the tree base that looks
like Unali in her black clothing. Maybe the tree is the source
of the danger?
Z'leyra glances up to see Mae standing nearby and wonders
if she could go find her satchel. But she may not even know
what it is much less where it is. The pain on her back is
still there but the adrenaline helps. From the corner of her
eyes she saw seconds ago vines attacking the others. While it
is side vision its not a distinct vision of what has gone down.
But it seems the plants are alive and attacking. But she
keeps clotting and stopping the bleeding of Pyan. That is
critical at this point. The wand she doesn't know much
about but why Kell would place it there is a mystery. But
based on how Arawn glances at her the wand must be important
to Pyan's survival.
Fuk though degraded by night vision spots one last red
vine moving. The red color is just like a mist blur as it
moves and the vine is maybe at most the size of a human
arm. But he tries to move forward and chop at it. Fuk gets
lucky and hits the vine as it moves away clipping a part of
it off but it is still moving.
Kiet comforted b the Iron skin spell looks around and
sees the last vine moving away toward the east.
Maelorna continues the words of binding, unable to stop
herself as time slows for her as she can feel the creature she
wants, with it's malice and hatred for the hunt. Part of her
wonders if she hasn't overstepped her abilities, while another
laughs maniacally and cheers her on. She ignores them both
and finishes with the last of the words, trying to ready herself
If the summons was successful, to force it to bend it's will to
her desires, or to force it to return.
From her own shadow, cast by the flickering campfire, a form
of a huge wolf like canine tears itself free, red crimson eyes
glow with a malevolent intelligence, jaws slavering with the
desire to rend flesh, with a bare movement it turns one eye to
glare at her. This in her mind's eye as she hopes this will
happen.
Dorhak continues his song, "That love to drink ale in a
horn! We'll sing racy songs, now that we're mellow,..." As he
sings he watches the last red vine moving and charges toward
it to pounce. The mace is not a good vine pouncer but it can
at least do something. He slams the mace down and does hit
the vine as it moves away severing it in half killing the vine.

[Time: 4:05:18 am]
[Phase 6]
Suddenly from behind the tree not seen by others a wood
transformation finishes. Wood turns to flesh and then
a man steps out of the tree. It immediately grabs a branch
and moves westward ignoring Unali. From nearby Fremea
can see the naked human and it seems familiar? Then she
notices it looks like Pyan but naked.
The naked Pyan moves ignoring Dorhak and Fuk. He sees
Kell and Mournath and moves around him quickly and
heads straight for Pyan. But as the naked Pyan raises
the branch Kell steps forward and places his shield
between them and deflects the blow that would've probably
killed Pyan.
As the naked Pyan moves toward wounded Pyan, a form of
some kind appears next to Mae. In the darkness it is almost
invisible but looks to be like a dog some kind 2.5 feet high
and 4 feet long. It's fiery red eyes gaze up at Mae who
notices the vines are now unmoving. But now this naked man
seems to move toward Pyan. There are no more vines to
attack but the naked Pyan carries a large limb as a possible
weapon and that can't be good. The instant Naked Pyan swings
down and bashes down on Kell's shield is when Mae realizes
the new Pyan is hostile. She points to the Naked Pyan and
asks to attack.
That's when the creature faces in that direction and howls.
The howl causes those ahead of the creature to freeze up. But
the magical defense of most block the effect. However
Mournath suddenly feels nothing. Pyan's body tenses up
as well and the tension in his hand releases the wand
and it falls to his stomach.
The creature then charges running right to the side of
Z'leyra and leaps at the naked Pyan. The creature clamps
down on Naked Pyan's right shoulder doing 5 points of damage
to the clone of Pyan.
Fremea watches the naked man walk by but is a bit
confused. As the man moves toward the west fast
it meets up with the others. Too close to fire on so
Fremea turns to the tree and fires. She fires the burning
arrow and it goes by the tree!? She is amazed she misses
a tree this large?
Unali stands and sees no more vines moving and figures
This tree is the cause. But killing a tree with a dagger
is a bit much to even her strong blades. She begins a quick
survey around half the tree to ensure no more vines are
still active and around.
Arawn sees Pyan's aura change drastically as the wand is
released. Pyan stops breathing it seems and his chest
sags. Arawn quickly reaches for the wand and places it
back into the limp hands of Pyan and hopes it will work
or this may be Pyan's last few seconds.
Mournath tries to move but his body is paralyzed and
his weapon and shield sags to his sides. He wills himself
to move but his body will not obey to this new threat.
Kell sees Naked Pyan try to bash wounded Pyan. Kell
can't see that Pyan is worse off now. But fears that
this thing is trying to kill him. It might only take one
simple lucky blow - even a scratch and Pyan would die.
So Kell raises his spear and thrusts it to kill the thing.
The magical spear stabs into Naked Pyan's right arm doing
7 points of damage almost severing it and forcing the tree
limb to drop to the ground.
Z'leyra hears the howl behind her making her skin crawl.
She glances over her shoulder and only sees red eyes as it
moves forward leaping past her. She has fought firehounds
before could it be one of those? But then she glances
back down sees the wand fall and Pyan get worse. She
begins to do chest compressions. An advanced method of
healing created by Ticasi. But the issue is these chest
compressions will damage ribs and that alone could kill
the hunter. She considers a forced healing to save the
man's life regardless of his wishes.
Fuk is lucky to be out of the howl's influence and turns
to see Kell attack the new Pyan. But the constable has
no clue what to do at this point.
Kiet sees Kell in trouble and steps around the others
and swings his tulwar against naked Pyan but misses in his
quick attack.
Mae smiles to herself at her summoning. But then she
notices how Z'leyra and Arawn are in a panic to do something
to help Pyan. Was it the creature's scream that causes
this? By saving Pyan maybe she killed him?
Dorhak continues his song, "Which Dwarves sung 'ere we were
born! For this bottle, the Fates, they be thanked,..." He
watches the vines stop moving. Then he stares at the
naked man rush past him. What that man looked like the
wounded Pyan? So that's what the human looks like. First
Z'leyra gets naked now Pyan? Dorhak turns to see wounded
Pyan on the ground and is confused by Naked Pyan's presence.
Then Kell and Kiet see to attack Naked Pyan. But I thought
he was their ally?
[Time: 4:05:21 am]
[Phase 7]
Actions? Comments?
Next Update..Friday.
GM: A bad set of events for Pyan. I had hoped to have
this out by now earlier. But Saturday my niece got
into a car crash (friend of her's family car with
that family). Car flipped 4 times. She is all right.
Though seeing some after effects now. Seatbelts saved
their lives. So I was gone all night Saturday so
could not do update then. So this is a bit rushed
today due to other things today. Next update I will
write up Friday afternoon. Friday I'm off (1st and only
time this year). So instead of Thursday will do it
Friday afternoon (noon est).
Small correction mistake made by my Dwarf servants. Z
was facing north not west. So technically she did see
the vines.
GM: Fremea - Still want to arrow this tree. Sorry the rolls
were sucky. A fumble and a miss for a freaking tree.
We can blame it on the evil tree magic yeah that's it.
Best not attack a barn though. :)
Kell - I figured you'd attack Naked Pyan based on him
trying to kill him. I hope this assumption was good.
Kiet - I figured a ring might've been good. But did not
want to burn (pardon pun) that until you approve.
Unali - Daggers against tree bark. Do you want to try
it or just stand by?
Mae - Since vines were neutralized not given task to
creature might've been worse. So would assume to
attack the clone. But in doing so the Howl did
paralyze Pyan.
Z'leyra - Arawn being npc will not make decision to
reheal. You can do so. Hopefully Pyan will post
on this matter.
Pyan - Super critical here. No posts on this situation?
You could die here. I'm not a GM that kills. I hate
to do this. But if I don't hear back it may not be
my choice. Want to risk a immediate healing at 50/50
chance of death? Actually I think its like 52/48.
If don't hear back by Friday morning I will go with
what Z posts to save you and risk it. This is based
on pc actions not gm actions. :) So you can blame Z. :)
