        From Pyan:  [Re: Actions]
          Pyandalgor uses his time on the trip to practice Marentian, by
          talking about ostriches.

          "Did you know ostriches can get to be over 9 feet tall...."

          * Prepped for a observed combat
            Get spear ready and join the fury

          * Ambushed reactions to combat
            grab nearest weapon and defend myself

          * Woken from sleep at camp
            Grabs Dagger and then finds out what's happening.
        GM: Ack. Marentian for IBT.  Since just one skill it will allow
            you to earn 2 points per day as instructed.  So you should
            be well maxed at before end of trip.  If it takes 46 or so
            days (estimated) If you want to select another skill like
            Horsemanship for overflow let me know.  If none selected
            will do Horsemanship. :)  As to Ostriches - funny! :)  Spear.
            Ambush actions are fine will assume melee weapons unless
            in ranged range and able.  Thanks for SOPs.  For you and
            Julian its hard to determine core actions until I know you
            for some time.  Most I can figure out without them saying
            anything by now they have standard routines.

          [Time: 9:22:12 am]
          [Phase 5]

            Z'leyra draws her magical sword since the great sword and
          staff needs two hands she needs to control the mount with
          the free hand.  She still has no clue of what side who is on, so
          charges forward into the fray.  She leaps over the headless
          old man and the charge slams into one man with his shoulder.
          Not wanting to kill but to stun.  With her sword she swings
          to subdue one of the men.  The horse's right shoulder knocks
          the man back but because it was deflected in speed and angle
          the man continues to stand.  Z'leyra swings her magical sword
          at Man #4 and slaps his left side of skull with intent to
          subdue so a light tap.  The man falls instantly down to
          the road.

            Unali aims her horse right for man #12 and counting the distance
          she does a side slip off the horse and using her acrobatic
          skill tumbles to the road.  Her dismount is slightly off so
          she does not make a very graceful landing but rolls and stands
          rushing between the female (#3) and the last man (#5) on
          the small group.  She swings both daggers at Man #9 the magical
          dagger fails to hit but the normal does subdual damage to
          his shoulder.  But the man does not fall.

            Corona flies around then at the rear of the group.  He fires
          his magical eyes again at the nearest target but the blast
          fails to make contact hitting the road.  But this does cause
          the men to mostly all turn around surprised by this rear attack.

            Fremea sees Z'leyra trying to hit the man with the flat of
          her sword a deliberate attempt to subdue.  So she figures
          the leader doesn't want them killed.  So Fremea dives toward
          man #2 she tries to bash the man in the head to knock him
          out but the man ducks at the very last minute and she misses.

            Red Shirt and Reddof ride forward and suddenly as one dismount.
          They rush past  the headless old man and as one charge targets.
          Standing hip to hip in a V formation they suddenly move as one
          almost as in perfect step.  From the distance those like Kiet
          and the dancer seem to see them move as if twins but not cousins.
          Not even looking they stand hip to hip and swing swords at
          Man #2, which Fremea just tried to hit and Man #5.  They thrust
          with no intent to subdue but to kill.  Red Shirt stabs at Man #2's
          middle ribs doing 5 points of damage.  Reddof however fails to
          hit Man #5.

            Kell at the same time as the cousins rides forward and passes
          Unali's horse to round and come around the rear.  HE slows and
          thrusts his spear at Man #10 and kills him.

            Pyan rides west and ends up a few feet to left of Arawn.

            Kiet rides forward and ends up about 30 feet behind Arawn.

            Arawn glances to the left and sees the hunter.  Then back
          toward the fray.   Arawn, Unali and the cousins have entered
          into melee all dismounted.  Kell just killed one based on
          the blood.  Red Shirt tried to for sure kill his target but
          did not complete it.  So Red Shirt seems to have chosen
          who is who.  Arawn watches a bit fascinated by their movement
          as if unison as if by some magical battle mind or something.
          Arawn dismounts and grabs his buckler.   Arawn moves forward
          just behind the female and to left of Z'leyra.  He raises his
          buckler toward Man #9 in front of Z'leyra to deflect any swords.
          He tries to shoulder his way toward the female to gain her
          attention.

            Zabyra moves westward and ends up about 12 feet behind and
          to the left of Kiet.

            Man #3 in the rear sees the reinforcements arrive for the
          Bhamotins.  This is not good.  Two just died.  Now they
          are almost outnumbered.  He questions if he should flee or
          strike.  Man #7 sees Arawn raise the shield in the air and
          the lady with the sword.  He realizes his mission is gone
          he killed the admiral.  He yells a word which none but
          the cousins understands.  Then he turns and runs.

            The female tired from running from the coast to here senses
          Arawn and glances back.  She sees Z'leyra and now Kell in front
          of her in the back.  The one in the red shirt yelled it seems
          in Marentian.  She decides based on just 2 deaths these
          must be friends.  She backs up, "bandits!  Kill them!" She
          yells in Marentian.  She then grabs the other ally left and
          drags him away moving behind Arawn.  They both end up a few
          feet to the left of Pyan's horse.

            At once the bandits hear their orders and scramble.  Bandit
          #9 however swings at Unali and fails to hit.  Bandit #5 defends
          himself and swings at Reddof but fails to hit.   Bandit #2
          thrusts at Red Shirt but fails to hit as he is now wounded.

            The others even though they know they have little chance
          to out run horses flee.  Maybe they can form a skirmish
          line and defend themselves that way.




          [Time: 9:22:15 am]
          [Phase 6]

            Z'leyra sees the bandits flee and the group around her
          seems to be outnumbered.  Moving down the road she gives
          chase to the 6 that fled.  She charges and swings at one
          man in the east side of the group but misses.

            Corona flies toward the fleeing bandits and fires at the
          Bandit #1 in the west end of group.  The eagle hits the
          bandit but his armor protects the blast.

            Fremea flies after the fleeing bandits and tried to stab with
          her dagger at Bandit #1 but fails to hit him.  She continues
          flying past to make a new run.

            Kell turns his horse around and charges toward the fleeing
          bandits.  Rushing forward he tries to thrust at Bandit #7
          in the west end of group but fails to hit.

            Pyan hears the female right next to him who has her sword
          lowered, yell "barrels! Kiss them."  Which makes no sense
          unless the woman is insane.  He grumbles knowing he has
          to get some key words down pat.  These must be those ruffian
          on the road - bandits.  Figuring these are good guys he
          rides forward and passes the first group.  He charges
          toward Bandit #11 in front of Z'leyra and tries to thrust his
          spear.  His spear stabs the bandit in the left shoulder doing
          2 points of damage to the already wounded bandit.

            Kiet smiles and charges his horse straight for Bandit #5
          which is fighting Reddof.  Now that he knows these are
          bandits the outnumbered 5 must've been Marentian citizens.
          At full charge he slams into the man but the trample fails
          to make contact just the speed of the charge.  As the
          man is falling Kiet thrusts his tulwar and impales the
          man in the back doing 14 points of damage killing the man.

            Arawn wanting to avoid combat at this point glances back
          to the female and man behind him.  They seem in good shape
          so doesn't need help healing right now.  He sees Red Shirt
          handling one and certainly Unali can handle her man.  The
          Druid stares and watches the fleeing group attacked by
          Fremea, Z'leyra and Kell.

            Zabyra gallops down the road.  She recalls her loaned
          horse is a battle mount.  But she can't recall if Z'leyra
          gave her the words to command it in certain ways.  She
          will have to get the commands from her later.  She raises
          her scimitar and charges toward Bandit #2 which was just
          wounded by Red Shirt.   But her horse's speed is so fast
          she rams the bandit and the horse tramples kicking at the
          haplesss bandit.  The horse breaks the left knee cap and
          the bandit screams.  Zabyra swings her scimitar but with
          the damage the horse just did and the previous damage the
          man falls to the road dead.

            Unali now realizes these are cowards - bandits who preys
          on the weak.  She switches tactics as the others have and
          intends to kill.  There is little mercy for cowards who
          kill innocents and flee.  She swings both daggers and
          thrusts at Bandit #9.  The man already had 75% subdual
          damage and still stood. But both daggers penetrate his
          arm and left shoulder doing the final damage to kill him.

            Red Shirt and Reddof seeing their targets killed by Kiet
          and the dancer turn as one and run toward the fleeing men
          but do not reach they yet.

            The six remaining Bandits group up back to back or side
          by side for better defense.  Those on the west end of
          the group see Fremea and Corona and know running that
          way is bad.  They could run north but horses would just
          catch them.  They have no choice but to stand their ground.

            Bandit #1 and #5 face Kell on his horse and swing and
          thrust.  Bandit #5 swings up but Kell blocks the strike
          with his shield.  But Bandit #1 thrusts up and pieces
          his left shoulder doing 10 points of damage.  Kell gives
          a small yell of pain and begins to waver in the saddle
          using his feet to hopefully remain on the horse.

            Bandit #11 thrusts at and hits Z'leyra but her armor protects
          her against the strike.

            Bandit #6 stares at Red Shirt and his cousin charging
          and raises his sword.  The other two behind him prepare
          to attack them as well.

          Actions?  Comments?

          Next Update....Monday...

          GM: A good update other than Kell being hurt.  Hopefully
              he'll have sense and ride away.  I will do 2 more
              phases on Monday.  I did this one a bit early since
              I work Thursday and would be difficult to do update
              Thursday night.  But next Thursday will work on update
              Thursday afternoon since off.   Right now half of
              the bandits are left.  Two survivors of the 5  Because
              the bandits fled I shifted the map and re-centered the
              combat in case they flee again.  So why the map is off
              from the last one.  Unali (foot), Kiet (Horse), Arawn (foot),
              and Zabyra (Horse) your group is clear.  So will have to
              move to the new group.

              When updates tend to do well like this I do them a bit
              early than scheduled to speed things up and give me
              a bit of free time.

          GM: Arawn - Still want to talk and avoid the fight or ok to
                 fight now?  Just checking.

              Kiet - Sorry charge failed but did good on the fight regardless.

              Zabyra - First experience! :)  Did really well on the charge
                 roll.

              Pyan - First experience!  You could go on foot and fight
                or continue fighting on horse.  Course if they break
                and flee then the chase can start?
