Game Update #199 in sequence (file #1324)
     Admin Notes: None.

        From Arawn: [Re: Actions[
Not sure if the party has decided whether to keep the 4
volunteer villagers with the party or have them return
with the rest of the villagers and Zhou but in case it hasn't
          been decided....

Upon rejoining the others Arawn listened patiently as he ...
        GM: Ack.

        From Unali: [Re: Actions[
OOC: I thought that Unali's suggestion was to send ALL
prisoners outside. If a few are armed to keep the others
safe, that is fine, gut to have them tag along is a recipe
          for disaster.

In our table top group we loved having untrained hirelings/
rescued villager/etc along. We called them Harrys and the
running gag was to have them killed off at the highest possible
rate with a GM that would not allow us to outright kill them,
or shove them in harms way.

Scott, I hope the PC is behaving? I have been tracking network
issues (burned out wireless access point) half the night.

Unali: "I agree with Arawn. to move the fastest, act as...
GM: Ack. Guess I missed the suggestion. Sorry. As to
Harry's we do the same. Even the crippled peg leg
villager who thinks it is wise to enter that hamlet
with that strange round device to see what it does.
Then when he pulls the plug we soon find out. As to
PC more or less. Sigh. So far good but some minor
issues. I may just do a post on its own to see what
            I've dealt with.

        From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Harrys... Sounds like a reverse game of Paranoia. I guess that
would make the PC's the officers that send the clones out to
          their death:)

In response to Unali's question Arawn replied,
"Chion and Fremea should be back in a few minutes."
GM: Ack. I'm sorry, Citizen. Where is your
security key code? Speaking of such things
is against the happiness of Alpha Complex.
Present key code or suffer security protocol

        From Kell: [Re: Actions]
OOC - Paranoia. he he. Fun game. Maybe we need some
          clones here...

"I've reconsidered, let's send all the captives out....
GM: Ack. This is a epidemic! Speaking of such things must
be stopped. Report to Extermination Booth 112 please.

        From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
          I'll work on the spell:)

"Are you sure about Squirt?," Arawn asked. "Can you...
        GM: Ack.

        From Kell: [Re: Actions]
Petting the adorable critter's ears, Kell tilts his head and
replies to Arawn in a deadpan, "Of course. Look at...

OOC - I want the Ultraviolet pass please. And a whole army
          of Farseeker clones. :)
GM: Ack. Ultraviolet? Please remain seated Citizen. Security
Bot Thelma-cold-Hands will be coming to question you.

        From Will: [Re: Actions]
Will looking at the viligers with a shrug says " leave them...
        GM: Ack.

     [New Stuff]

         [Augado 10th, 1634TH]
         [Location: Middle Katai Plains]
         [ Mountains west of Pamau]

         [Time: 2:05 pm]

The party begins to quickly discuss the aspects of taking
the villagers. Many feel Kell's suggestion is sound if not
as support in the overall operation but as cooperation among
the groups. But many still have problems with the situation.

Upon rejoining the others Arawn listened patiently as he
was caught up on the party's discussion regarding disguises
and the possibility of having villagers join the party for
further exploration into the cave complex. When the others
were done he waited until the villagers were out of earshot
before voicing his concerns. Siding with Lin he advises against
it, warning that the villagers lack of training and their anger
awards the Vong could cause them to react in unexpected ways,
possibly ruining the party's chance for surprise if they should
charge at the wrong time, cry out or go against a plan, thus
compromising the mission or serving to distract members of the
party when focus is necessary. In addition their lack of combat
experience and proper equipment means that it would be a suicide
mission for them. He also supports Lin's view that the villagers
would likely react quite negatively once they discover the
         party's ability to use magic.

Unali turns from her reverie and recalls Clima and the
last time folks helped the party. "I agree with Arawn. to
move the fastest, act as silent as we can, all former prisoners
should keep together and get out of the Mount as soon as
possible. If you are ready, let's get going. As soon as all
are up the ladder and out of sight, we should open this door
and move on as well. Is everybody present once again?"

In response to Unali's question Arawn replied, "Chion and
Fremea should be back in a few minutes."

"I've reconsidered, let's send all the captives out. Using
Illusions to show more Vong will just alert them to us, let's
use stealth as we have so far. I can send Squirt here scouting
         ahead.", says Kell.

"Are you sure about Squirt?" Arawn asked, "can you ensure
that he won't get himself into trouble?"

Petting the adorable critter's ears, Kell tilts his head and
replies to Arawn in a deadpan, "Of course. Look at this face.
Is this the face of a troublemaker? Besides, Squirt is small
and sneaky, he's done this type of thing for me before."

Will looking at the villagers with a shrug says, "leave them
here or get rid of them... with us they'd be in the way."

Zhou nods and explains, "friends they have decided it is
best that you join your fellow people here. It is best
that you defend them and support the army that is due here
soon. These people are capable and feel that you will
be needed to protect the women and children."

Kiet rolls his eyes at the honey sticky words of Zhou.

Zhou claps his hands. "All right. It's time to go.
We will go out that way. We'll be heading to the lake
area where I believe some of you have gone before. Please
surround the children so they do not see some of the
Vong. We had to slaughter many there. The tough part will
be a tiny area to get into the lava tube area. We will
have to cross a bridge so the mothers will have to help
the little ones. I'll explain more as we move on...."

Strie'bog and Chion talk briefly and quietly for a bit
as Zhou speaks and then ends.

Zhou turns to Unali, "good luck." He extends a hand.
then turns to the others. "I expect to see everyone on
         the outside safe."

         Actions? Comments?

         Next Update....Friday??

GM: Small update. I was going to do more but then forgot
the Illusion thing hasn't been covered. Who will do it?
Who will be illusions? Who will cast the spell? When
are they cast? Other details. Vong of Outcast, Shaper,
Warrior or else? Once I get those details I can move on.
If enough comes in can try for a Friday update.
But we'll see. I can only assume folks will be busy
or out of town this weekend. So Friday update might
be bad? I could wait till Monday if need to. I'm
off Xmas though. If swamped by too many posts for next
update may delay things. It is like today no posts for
four days then bam 5-6. Piles up. Which is GREAT. But
             takes time to process each.

GM: I try to get in 3 day weekends till end of the year starting
in september. But with less time this year due to
earlier this summer I had less. I have only 2 more
3 day weekends (Tue-Thur) this week and next. Means
after that will be 2 day weekends till September. So
may cause Friday updates at times due to time constraints
(less time Wednesday night, etc.). Just a warning.

GM: Merry Christmas to all if no update by Monday.
