Kell looks over Kiet's shoulder and then realizes what may
have been attempted.  He realizes Kiet caught him and there
was no loss.  Then Kell realizes something and reaches down to
his own belt pouch.  He sighs in relief when he finds it but
reaches in to find some lack of coins.  He quickly turns around
and scans the crowd for the boys.  To the left back down the
way they came two boys are moving through the crowd and then
they separate one going right and the other left between
the people moving fast away.  He curses to himself as he should
have detected such an attempt.  But in this large distracting
market it was more difficult it seems.  Kell glances back at
Kiet and the sack bearer is trying to back away explaining
it wasn't as it seemed.  Kell then looks back and sees only
one of the boys around the age of 12 or so.  the other seems
gone but the other is about 30 feet away through a crowd of
at least 2 dozen men and women.
                            -----------------

Kell does not like being stolen from, not at all.  And to be duped so easily, that makes him mad at himself.  He knows how these things happen!  Kell watches the one boy and says to Kiet "I'm going after him.  Meet at the stall."

Kell starts to follow the boy.  Even if he can't get any of the stolen money back, maybe he can see where the boy lives.  Maybe is has no other way to get food, and Kell doesn't like people starving, although it happens on a regular basis.  And he should have detected the boy and stopped the pick-pocket.

He starts trailing the boy and tries to slowly move up to him.  He won't push too fast through the crowds but attempts to close the gap between them quickly.

[If Kell gets to 15 feet behind the boy, Kell will trail him to see where he goes.]
