Smiling at Raban Arawn sighed upon seeing the broken shovel head.

"I figured it would come in handy, just not in this manner. Oh well," he said in a bemused tone, "there are still some more in the other room."

Quickly scanning the fountain Arawn sensed for any remaining magic in the eye before reaching for it (if it still radiates he'll do so with a cloth and then move it to an empty waterskin) and gather some of the metal shards as well.
Hearing Caladan's words and taking note of the keys in Z'leyra's hands Arawn adds,

"I think that would be wise but might I suggest closing this secret staircase for the time being? We have too many unguarded entrances and a strong need to rest shortly. I'd hate to draw the attention of anything down below before we are ready."

Without going down the stairs Arawn will take a look down and try to discover what he can before attempting to close it.

On the way to the locked chamber Arawn will make a quick stop to replace the broken shovel with another, fresh, shovel.

If Fremea mentions the auras Arawn will inquire as to what, if anything, she was able to ascertain about them.

"I wonder if the magics react to magical entities or certain forces, such as the Sidh...," he thought aloud.

If nothing more is discovered about the auras Arawn will make a suggestion.

"At least one of the spells active in the room is fire spell. Perhaps we can shield up or conjure fire resistance to give us a chance to study the auras and discover a means to bypass them?"
