Sitting at the bar a decent looking man with a strange
magical glow stares at the man speaking. He says to the man.

“I can throw a javelin and spear a man I can hack and slash
with the best. I can ride a horse well. I can cast spells to find
men, I can improve a mans combat skills to attack move fast and or shoot
more middles. and I can heal a man.”

“I managed a way to stay alive and I'm ready to make some
coin. You have my skills and loyalty.”

The troll drinks his mug and spills most of it on his chin
as he tries to figure out what the dwarf said. Something about arm,
fist, bet. Bet he knows from street games. So he wants the
troll to try to rip his arm off? Sure he can comply. He
stands and storms forward. As the man at the bar speaks of his
skill he pushes the man by his face up onto the bar railing (ie pushed up
against side of bar). He does a odd laugh and moves away.

The man at the bar recovers and draws a weapon but Tarek
speaks up. Tarek is impressed slightly the man knows tradetalk
better than some here. But it is still clipped and rough. He hopes
to have from that cute merchant gal to have more folks that speak it
fluently. “Welcome aboard. Make coin?” But he stops and
watches the troll pass near his table. Turning south and toward the
Dwarf's table.

Varo hesitates. rapier & a belt knife are not the best
way to fight a troll. She wishes her bow, javelin & shield were here,
but they are in the stable with her horse. If the whole group volunteered
,she'd do better & could try to stay behind the troll. Too bad the
bow was in the stable; she should have carried it.

Then the dwarf challenges the troll, & she is
interested. Maybe if this fight can be taken outside, & others help,
she could actually be of some help – her rapier skill was not too bad,
although she'd have to dodge a lot. She has gathered all she now carries
with her, so she prepares to stay nearby & follows the dwarf over to
where the challenge will be [if he does actually move for the
challenge.]

Tarek says ride to him and he nods, "Yes, horse. Walk
can if need." Klorgar looks around waiting for others to speak up
after his intro, a troll of all things yells loudly, and it smells bad,
Klorgar is very glad it is not joining them. After a few moments a couple
of others speak up. One seems to speak as much as himself and that gives
him some comfort that his words were ok. Then a well groomed woman, who
speaks a lot of words he doesn't understand and is long winded, seems to
get the approval to join. Klorgar hopes she won't be talking all the
time. He hopes there are others that speak his language.

The bar keep yells at the troll to get out, at least that
seems to be what is yelled. He understood the word Militia and that
usually means you are not wanted here. Based on past experiences himself.
Then his new "boss" asks to help and they would get food and
drink for doing it, at least that is what is seems like was said, could
be the bar keep wanted to give the troll food and drink, but that was
unlikely.

The fancy woman stands a looks at the group, saying a lot of
words, Klorgar catches only a few, but gets the idea she wants to help.
Then the dwarf just jumps in. Klorgar stands grabbing his battleaxe and
gets ready to help out.

The troll doesn’t see Klorgar stand and prepare. He
gets to the dwarf table and leans in, snarling and huffing. His two
large arms grabs the dwarf before he stands and the dwarf bats his arms
and shakes his head. He motions with his arm that is what he mean
arm wrestle. The troll grunts and releases the dwarf sad he can't
rip the dwarf's arm off. Arm wrestle? Hes seen it in cult
houses full of humans he tried to join. At least one cult did allow
him in. Fine! He sits at the table.

Seeing the other that just joined Tarek all rise, Razgor
stands up as well and reaches for his pike.

The dwarf sits back down and the stare off begins. But
those tusks are disgusting a dry peace of meat dangles from top.
Troll says, “you win I go.” he does a half grumble laugh. “Me win I
clobber you.” then a more deep laugh rumbles.

Rocky nods and places his arm on the table. The troll
is almost 3 times his size and the troll does have a muscle bonus over
the dwarf. But the dwarf is far smarter probably 3 times as
smart. So uses this to psyche the troll out. Tarek walks over and
says, “ready?” Both arms on table flat at proper angle . “First to put
other hand on table wins. On my mark...3...2...1!”

Rocky takes the lead taking the troll down 15 degrees.
Then they hold firm and struggle.

The Troll surges and both arms go back to starting
position.

Rocky knows that trolls can't keep their booze as his kind
do. So if he can just hold on...

Troll gets Rocky's hand over and 15 degrees to the table
closer.
<x-tab> </x-tab>
The troll gets Rocky's arm another 15 degrees closer to the
table.
<x-tab> </x-tab>
But Rocky reverses things and forces the roll 15 degrees
over the other side and smiles.
<x-tab> </x-tab>
But then the troll reverses it again and gets 45 degrees to
other side now half way to the table is Rocky's hand. Whispers are
heard and bets seem to be taking place but Rocky concentrates o the
situation.

Then Rocky's hand goes lower now at only 15 degrees to the
table so 3/4ths the way there.

Then Rocky's hand slams to the table. The troll grunts
and laughs.

The Troll stands and reaches for his club but finds his arm
doesn't seem to react. It is so weak and tired now it will need to
recover. Rocky grins.
<x-tab> </x-tab>
The Troll pushes the table over with his left hand and leans
toward Rocky but he shakes his head. HE points of to his right and
the Troll's left shoulder. The Dark Man glances over his shoulder to see
two of those who joined the party holding weapons.

Then Rocky grunts and the troll turns. Rocky then
points to his left and the troll looks over his right shoulder to see 5
uniformed militia enter. The troll turns around and
calculates his odds. He can count to 10 at least. So it would
be 8 or 9 vs him? With a weakened arm.

The leader of the militia tells the troll, “go!” and points
to the street.

The troll turns to Rocky. “You cheat! I
won. I clobber you!”

Then he turns as he hears 5 weapons drawn from
belts are pikes and others are swords from the militia. The
Troll glances over his shoulder, “you coward. If I see you I clobber
good!”

Then he moves to the door and the men let him pass.
The militia follow and escort him away a few streets or start to.
The Bar keep returns and groans seeing the table damage. Tarek
hands the man a small bag of jewels and coin. “For their food and
drink. If you need more I'll drop by to see if you need more at
sunrise.”

Tarek looks around and is happy that the group
supported each other. A good test. He looks to the one who last
signed up the one who can heal (Gerald) “what is your name?”

Once he hears this he speaks to the ones who joined.
“Eat and drink a good meal. I will not pay for personal trip
items. If you need arrows or rope or food other than the basic
rations I'll supply you better buy it now. I will do my best to get
enough water and basic foods for our trip. So there are 5 of
you. A decent group. Meet me at the East Gate an hour after
sunrise. We will start then! Any questions before I depart?”

was fun but the rolls were pretty equal. Almost a special success
for troll but no crits. Now does Rocky wanna follow and allow him
his free hit? :) If so how will that combat escalate? So hopefully
Bert will be posting soon. I've hard from him. So anything
you guys wanna get before trip? Ammo, etc? Let me know. For a 3
week at least travel to and 3 week back. Probably another week for
side stuff or how long you stay at final destination. I am
considering giving a skill mark for Tradetalk. If you get
experience. But logically its usually a game week (full actual week
but since I decided a week is a day) 5% boost to tradetalk seems
high. So I gotta consider this and report results next
update. Website is updated for the map legend, legend icon
and actual region map working . BTW each hex is 20 im. I hope
you guys can see the blue it seems one can't. Like the
large small blue sea. Website ma not update with new posts and
update #3 yet. Hopefully soon. But they are there.
Change filename to 26.txt.
