Fremea sees the bats and just waits a sec before flying
inside.
AND of course, the oversized human has to take a swing at her. Gods they
are annoying! Then she realizes there is another giant on the ground, at
least they could handle it.

"Quickly, stay as a group. Going solo through the caves
is not good for your health, unless you like scaling mountains. It will
take a least two members of the coalition to pass the runes. Luckily, for
you and me, I can fly."

Getting through the cave seemed better this time, since she
could be ahead of them. Once there, she could see that Dorhak was
annoyed, good! A slight smile comes across her face and then falls in
with the group for which ever direction is chosen.

Raddok is surprised at Fremea's return. Hadn't she gone
ahead of them & now she's coming from the other direction? “Fremea!”
he calls. “What happened? How did you get back here from the other way?”
He's afraid that even though time passing was not good for the humans
here, they couldn't afford to rush into a mistake at this point, in this
shadowy world. He sees the others coming from the entrance to join them
& time was seeming to run out for them all.

Then Raddok realizes he realized she had gone back through
the winding cave passage to the front of the cave and not ahead.
Thats what you get for studying the rocks and mine too much get confused.

Upus adjust and cleans up his gear and makes sure Kimis is
alright by asking her, “Are you ok, I'm alright?”

Kimis nods, “a worthy scratch. Fighting and taking a
giant down is worth the minor bruises and sores.”

Upus then says to group, “What do we do now?”

Dorhak raises his sword and shield and grunts its time to
move on. Why couldn't the mages use some mumbo jumbo magic to
figure out best of the 2 passages but oh well.

The left passage goes straight about 30 feet then inclines
about 10 degrees for a few yards. Levels out to be a long tunnel about
120 feet long. Arawn tries to keep a look out for more hidden runes or
wards. But the single torch casts long shadows.

The tunnel then slopes about 30 degrees for a few yards then
levels out. The tunnel goes on for about 50 feet and widens out to about
100 feet and as high as 80-90 feet. So the dim torch light does not
show much details but shadows.

The temperature seems to lower 10-15 degrees. The damp
air seems to glisten scalp and hair. But there is no sign of water
or moisture.

A odd tingle seems to form on the skins of each
person. It may just be the atmosphere change. But it is hard
to pinpoint what is going on. There is no massive source of mana
and its just dead quiet.

Suddenly Fremea sees her eyes flicker with each wing
flap. Time seems to slow down and flicker. She blinks her
eyes to clear her eyes and fins herself in a large room. She is
sitting on a throne and standing in front of her is Etain in chains and
Varange smirking. Varange says, “as ordered the royals have been
disposed of. No loose ends remain. Aside from your demand to
jail Kaylle and not kill him. Love has no place here. The war
goes bad. You must decide what to do. This place is not big enough
for him and your lover. Decide!”

Fremea stares confused and shocked. How did she get
here? It almost looks like Avalon from the windows of
outside.

Kiet steps forward over a rock and almost falls over a large
rock and regains his balance as he looks up to the sky? Wait.
There is no sky in the cave? He finds himself on top of a hill with a
elemental rock altar nearby. Dark storm clouds hang over head. A
crackle of thunder draws him to look left to see a large angry cloud
elemental is hovering nearby and booms that “you have failed the pact for
the last time!” Kiet's armor speaks in his mind, 'can you remove me
before you die?'

As thunder and lightning bolts start to pepper the ground
forcing Kiet to run and stumble down the hill.

Pyan has been bored with this cave and doesn't like this
enclosed places. His mind wanders to the forest. In that split
second his right food lands on a limb and cracks it. He finds
himself in a large forest. Where are the others? He turns
around to see some of his people staring at him about 100 feet away
silently. As Pyan starts to speak he hears growls. He turns
around again and sees a couple of bears, mountain lions and wolves.
Where did they come from? Suddenly the animals charge and Pyan is
now the prey as they chase him in the forest. Pyan slips and
stumbles over a log as the animals close in for the kill.

Raddok likes the cold damp of the cave. It brings back
memories of good mines. He sneezes on the dust and looks up to see
himself in a light wood. Oddly he spots a home with a large
porch. Raddok notices hes on the threshold of a mine cave.
There is a woman on the porch. She turns and his heart sinks as he
spots his girlfriend! As Raddok tries to move out of the cave it
seems to take forever. HE watches the woman glares. Then a
tall man joins her on the porch and kisses her. Just as he does this a
rumble is heard and a large rock cave in knocks Raddok off his feet as
the entrance to the cave closes. Darkness falls over Raddok.

Tsia does not like enclosed places like this cave. Suddenly
her body weaves up and down. She smells ...signs of a ocean?
Salt water? She finds herself on a ship in a cage. Men are
all around sharpening up knives and arguing over what body parts to cut
out and eat first.

Unali grips her daggers anxious to be in this cave.
She takes a couple steps more and loses her daggers. No. They
are gone. She looks down to see her hands in cuffs. She looks
up and sees dozens of folks in the royal throne room. In front is King
Maros who speaks up, “how do you plead? Death of Duke Aren and Duke
Estes and 312 Marentians is on your hands. The failure to see the
attack is a treasonous act.” She notices a figure in the audience
she recognizes. Commander Farseeker? Standing there with a
long sad face.

Upus and Kimis have their red eyes seem to gleam in the
darkness as they stride forward. Suddenly both find themselves in a
human city. A place none have been to before. Confused they
look for the others. They turn the corner into a market the smell
of food draws to their noses. Suddenly kids point and women shout
stuff they don't understand. Are they saying demons? A mob
quickly forms and starts to chase the red skinned people down the streets
with clubs and knives.

Barbosa finds himself back home in a cave his family
uses. But as he settles in his family and friends turn on
him. Saying he is a failure and he should still be exiled.

Z'leyra adjusts her helmet so she can see in the darkness
but suddenly finds herself in a large room. There are a dozen beds
around her with half a dozen bodies in various conditions. Several
men and women are moving quickly about. One Healer says, “snap out
of it! The King needs to be treated over here.” But others shout at
her to help with throat and chest injuries saying they have to be first.
Confused she spins around unsure who to treat first.

The 2 Bes finds themselves in a new open cave with torches
along the wall. A flickering image of a elf hovers near them. “You
have bought danger to his sacred place. This will bring the Wrath
of the gods. Your people are doomed!”

Dorhak wrinkles his nose at the dust not that dust
bothers a dwarf. But that it is on his lips and tastes bad.
Suddenly he sniffs the air and smells....goblins! A battle cry
leaves his mouth as he charges into the approaching dozen or so
goblins. Suddenly Dorhak finds himself surrounded by another
50..60..no 75 goblins from all sides. Where are the others to help
fight these foul creatures? He tries to back away but is surrounded
as they stab at spears and knives and throw rocks. They begin to
club him by the dozen. Dorhak goes down and find himself stabbed by
at least a dozen spears. A knife slices his throat as he blacks
out.

Arawn feels the tingle seem to surround and crawl up his
spine. As he balances his feet to gain his senses he finds himself
in a forest. 'You failed to solve the Dark threat as well as stop
the war.” Arawn turns to see a tall Elf of extreme age. He
looks like a old teacher? “You expected to return here? Now
that will never happen! Now the Great Threat is loose in the other
world.”

Arawn shakes his head. No. This is not
real. This is a trick of some kind. The Elf teacher continues
to scold the Alfar. Arawn realizes this is a vision or a side
effect of some cave fungus? He builds his mental strength and will
and pushes outward. This is not real! HE begins to scream it in his
mind over and over.

Arawn finds himself in the cave as others seem to be walking
this way and back confused or scared looks as they move. Arawn
grabs Pyan and shakes him saying it is not real. Pyan seems to
become still as the sweat pours down his face.

Arawn moves from person to person to awaken them from this
weird trance or dream.
<x-tab> </x-tab>
But the Elf sees Dorhak gagging and Arawn rushes to
him. He feels the dwarf pulse ebb then end. IT seems he has
believed whatever he saw and has died. Arawn quickly performs what he saw
of Z'leyra that heart chest beat massage thing. HE starts a rhythm and
breathes life into Dorhak. The ugly dwarf chokes and coughs.

A voice from down the tunnel booms, Suddenly Arawn jerks
back and is slammed to the ground by a unseen force. “Who brings
this Alfar? The Alliance can not trust the Alfar. While Elves
were part of our alliance the Alfar were not keen on helping against the
gods in the war. Before I kill the Alfar who vouches for him?
Why bring him in this place but as a spy!”

As the party seems to recover from whatever this was- dream,
vision or the future? They hear the voice. It seems to be in
Elven, Dwarf or Bes at the same time. But no human version is
heard. Dorhak sits up and checks his body as the spear holes are
gone?

The voice that seems to echo all around them continues, “he
is too powerful to exile but I can kill him. But why are allies
with the Alfar? Alfar you may speak and identify yourself!
Only a Alfar of great mental prowess and will power can break the Trance
of Failure. To break the tests is only what a spy would
do.

was above? Confused? There is just cause for it. Think of it
as a mystical Dagobah Cave. Since I worked 10.5 hours today did not
get as descriptive as wanted but hope it makes sense. There is
mythos behind it. Also a easter egg in there or two. :) Will
try Wednesday for new update if get enough replies. We have one
player in hospital with heart surgery. At least 2 others suffering
from the winter storms with no power. I suspect a 3rd
probably. So we'll see who is still out there. Each personal
situation was seen only by you not others.
