all the information that is summed up in the new updates. I am getting
Dorhak & Arawn, but not even all of those. Are there cell
phones involved, although I do see iphone notifications? I feel I may be
making out-of-date action suggestions or missing something promising a
different direction. For example, what 'tapping a shield 3 times'? And
'Pyan starts to move...' --- I did not get those. There were at least two
things I did not receive from the last update or two either. --- is
something different in ways information is being sent? Is it going thru
PBeM, or are some of us sending private emails to Scott? (I confess I
have done the same thing in the past, when not sure if I needed to act
either this way or that - like, does Raddok see something on the cave
roof?)] Maybe that's why a summary of emails is posted at start of
update?

GM: Ack. You are fine. It is usually 2 issues. Gmail
will mess up emails/list stuff. If not its the mailing list.
In this case Wout has rebooted list pc and it seems fine now. I got
those missing posts. Without technical info it looks like the list
spool kept the posts and didn't post out till rebooted. But looks
like this time Comcast had server issues with list. So its many
factors. This is why I posted my post on archives. This is why I
post a recap here of all public posts so if its here it got out if not
then it never did. Email actions like from Unali do not get posted
unless specific actions. So its possible to ignore all other posts
and just read updates as it'll sum it all up regardless.

note for now.] Raddok will automatically translate everything Velf
says to the dwarves in Dwarf Elder throughout this adventure, unless he
has a very good reason to pretend he does not hear Velf (like
instructions from Arawn or Dorhak to 'not' hear). He will translate back
to Velf exactly what Dorhak says to say in response to Velf. He hopes
that his understanding of Dwarf Elder is up to the task, although so far,
the language needs have been basic enough to communicate easily.

Dorhak may become separated from the party by magic, he is both startled
and appalled by Velf's intentional lack of warning, and has to hide both
fear for Dorhak & his fury toward Velf. He prepares for he knows not

Fremea teleports herself and Unali to the cement block above
cave.

Back at Ma'Dor, Fremea makes sure Unali finds the rock, and
quickly descends to make sure nothing is a miss or any surprises await
them. You never know with these nasty humans anymore.

Fremea checks to make sure there is nothing magical that
could be triggered by her either. When she sees it is all clear, she
makes sure Unali has descend already and quietly pops inside the cave.
Moving slowly and hovering just a little bit.

But she finds noting amiss until she gets closer to party
and notices the wall. Namely the magical glowing rune-diamond
things.

Unali quickly repels down the rope with ease and climbs into
the cave.

Dorhak tries hard not to pounce on his gear. He throws
on the padded armor, then the chainmail. He then picks up the
shield and his mace, then thrusts his throwing axe in his belt. He
shakes his head at this silliness. If the wards already know he is
a dwarf, what’s the point of the questions? Maybe it’s a jest?

Velf glares at Dorhak then Raddok and Arawn, “this was a
prisoner? You often give such that gear? We will talk on this more
later for the deception. “

Dorhak repeats the question out loud so others can help.

dorhak doesn’t think of anything besides what Arawn
suggests. At least it fits. Dwarves tend towards rules and
propriety.

A few long moments pass then the diamond-ward things glow
red. “Incorrect.”

Velf sighs, “I'm unsure how many guesses one can have.
Second dwarf we tried here guessed 8 times before he suddenly fell into
abyss. I think that wall thing...pulled him in. No need to
translate that.”

Raddok thinks about the riddle. "What could…
perhaps a deep secret? Once shared with another it is no longer exactly a
secret. Can shared knowledge really be a secret?" Raddok shook his
head. "Maybe that's too simple, or too obvious."

Dorhak shrugs and turns to the wall and stats secret.

A few moments pass. The diamond rune-wards glow bright
white. “Correct. Step forward with faith and good heart.”

Velf claps his hands, 'no need to translate...that was good
guess. The 3-4 that passed this point we believe had to have strong
will and a true belief...in what I'm not sure. I theorize maybe
some dwarf heritage or such?”

Velf turns to Dorhak, “good luck..” then peers at the abyss
below.

guess Raddok. I pause here for reactions. So now everyone is in

Saturday. Still need to know who owns the 2 sets of ropes used to
