Not having any innate magics Z'leyra is limited to the magic<br>
she is trained in as her magical tools are not in her reach.<br>
Without her drum she cannot cast shamanic spells so she tries<br>
to cast Mind Shield ELmax, then Invisibility EL1.<br>

If she cannot cast spells she will attempt to clear her neck<br>
of any parasite, then go for one of her weapons.<br>

Maelorna hears the warning from Arawn and before she ...<br>

"I swear, if I survive this, I want a bath." she grouses...<br>

If successful and the creature either falls at her feet or<br>
perishes, she'll lunge at Zylera in order to reach for the<br>
nodule and rip it free from the woman's neck. However, if<br>
the creature resists her embrace, she'll use the dagger in<br>
hand to ram it home as many times as she can into its chest.<br>
GM: Ack. Just FYI I told you once but in case forgot. Doing<br>
words in phases takes tmies. 1 Phase = 3 seconds. That<br>
speech you gave which I assume was vocal not mental would<br>
take almost 3 phases. This would mean time from doing<br>
magic or such. For the future. But not for Innate magic.<br>

[Audience Room - Current room]<br>

Fremea curses in her head that it doesn't seem like the spell<br>
worked to free anyone else. Maybe those things are not<br>
considered tame, but either way she has to deal with this damn<br>
creature now. She thinks about a spell to use, but really right<br>
now, it would be easier to just use her training to destroy this<br>
creature, who thinks it better than her. A new creature that<br>
has tried, and failed, to contain her, to enslave her once more.<br>
<br>
Fremea uses her training in martial arts to make this things<br>
life seem like it wasn't worth going through.<br>
<br>
<br>
[Phase 3]<br>
<br>
Arawn considers his options as he continues to touch<br>
the glowing Cryx. The vibration and energy it seems to<br>
give off is relentless and a bit addictive. Thoughts<br>
flood his mind as he considers the options. He could<br>
use the whistle. At least twice he heard Zin use it<br>
to free Kiet and then the second shifter forcing the<br>
party to move in a line. With his intelligence and the<br>
memorization skills he has he could reproduce it. But<br>
there is a slight risk. But Arawn knows he has spent a<br>
great deal of magical and life energy in the last two days.<br>
He knows he has to escape from this place. He may be<br>
the only one to do so if this Cryx is for him. He<br>
may need to conserve his energy for later. He could<br>
translocate the remaining party to the pile. At least<br>
two of the shifters would be at the pile in seconds<br>
and could shred the party. So even if they get away<br>
some might die still bound by the creatures.<br>
<br>
Maelorna hears the warning from Arawn and before she thinks<br>
to warn him to ignore her, realized she hadn't moved as she<br>
remains near the altar with dagger in hand. With a groan of<br>
irritation, she can see Zin ignored her instruction and was<br>
moving steadily towards her. 'By the court, what the hell was<br>
he doing?' she grouses and ignores him as she starts to note<br>
the remaining shifters and those left behind. If Arawn was<br>
able to work magic, he wasn't helpless, the others, she regards<br>
and picks the nearest and sadly it's not the braggart who<br>
warned her to stay away.<br>
<br>
"I swear, if I survive this, I want a bath." she grouses while<br>
she fades from view to all but her intended victim and giggles<br>
playfully as she flies at the shifter trying to kill Zylera.<br>
She attempts to latch onto it's back or failing that, land<br>
behind it and pull herself closer into a lover's embrace.<br>
<br>
Mae concentrates and tries to become invisible as she<br>
selects her target.<br>
<br>
Mae flies toward Shifter #4 and tries to grab onto his<br>
back but the smooth surface is hard to grasp and she slips<br>
off but is now just a half foot behind him.<br>
<br>
All four shifters react first. Shifter #2 in bull form<br>
tries to twist his head back and forth to get rid of the<br>
small creature. It reaches up and behind to claw at the<br>
Faerry but both claws fail to reach as she dodges back<br>
and forth on his back.<br>
<br>
Shifter #3 rears up his tusk and stabs Unali in the<br>
left side but her armor protects most of it doing only<br>
2 points of damage. But in the process she is lifted up<br>
and off her feet slamming into her stomach still unable<br>
to move.<br>
<br>
Shifter #4 smiles at Z'leyra and draws back both of<br>
his claws and lunges for her throat. But Z'layha yells<br>
something Z'leyra doesn't recognize and seems to distract<br>
the shifter. The claws rip at Z'leyra's throat doing 1<br>
and 5 points of damage. But the distraction was just enough<br>
to prevent her carotid being sliced open. So she can<br>
feel blood flowing down her neck but she would be gasping<br>
for air if it was her main artery.<br>
<br>
Zin frowns seeing Mae fly away. Why would she do that?<br>
Zin turns around and looks. Then moves toward Mae who<br>
has landed behind Shifter #4. Zin reaches and now stands<br>
a foot behind Mae waiting.<br>
<br>
Arawn curses the distraction. The Cryx seems to be<br>
drawing her inward to itself. Arawn withdraws his hand<br>
and brings the whistle up. He begins to blow it hoping<br>
it is the correct tune. In the last few second she<br>
glanced at it and knows it only had 2 holes. The<br>
odds are good compared to a flute or some other complex<br>
musical instrument.<br>
<br>
All around the room spiders on necks begin to vibrate<br>
and then drop to the ground in a few drops of blood.<br>
<br>
Kell suddenly feels his arms move and lurches toward<br>
Kiet. "Get a grip!" He begins to shake the acrobat<br>
back and forth.<br>
<br>
Mournath is relieved to be free for the second time in<br>
days he is forced to not move. But now he bends down<br>
and grabs his spear and shield.<br>
<br>
Z'leyra feels her arms dangle and realizes she has now<br>
full control. With her left hand she reaches up to check<br>
her throat and confirms it is a bad slice but she will<br>
survive. With her right hand she does a forceful slap<br>
against Shifter #4's chest.<br>
<br>
Fuk glares at Kiet and bends down to pick up his sword<br>
from the pile then turns to face the shifters.<br>
<br>
Pyan bends down to retrieve his spear.<br>
<br>
Dorhak bends down to gather up his mace and shield.<br>
<br>
Z'layha moves toward Z'leyra to help her sister. Not<br>
with any weapons though she tries to punch the shifter<br>
but does little effect. As she does she glances at Mae and<br>
frowns at the new form she is in. Then she sees the<br>
thing holding her dagger!<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
[Phase 4]<br>
<br>
"You know, a girl might become jealous, bring her to dinner,<br>
then ignore her and go for a prettier girl." Maelorna gives an<br>
evil grin as the voice finally for once isn't egging her on,<br>
rather, it was singing in jubilant elation as weeks of denial<br>
are put to rest. She coos softly and caresses the shifter like<br>
an infatuated lover as she attempts to draw greedily the first<br>
of all it's energy she can sunder from its shell, wanting to<br>
see it waste away and fall to her feet dead or dying.<br>
<br>
Mae reaches toward Shifter #4 and touches his back and draws<br>
energy from the creature.<br>
<br>
Unali rolls over and does a acrobatic move to thrust<br>
her feet up and down to repel her body upwards. She<br>
does a side kick at one of the beasts four legs. Making<br>
the tusked four legged beast-shifter fall forward. Unali<br>
then grabs the tusk and holds on looking up to the others.<br>
<br>
Shifter #2 figures can't shake the thing off her back so<br>
turns and charges the west wall. Hoping to slam her into<br>
the wall itself. Fremea notices this at the last second and<br>
tries to fling backwards but she is too late and slams into<br>
the rock wall. She takes one point of damage and falls to<br>
the ground south of the creature.<br>
<br>
Shifter #3 flings Unali away using great stregnth. It<br>
realizes the party by the weapons pile has weapons now<br>
and roars. It charges past Unali straight for those<br>
at the pile with weapons but ends up only about 12 feet<br>
away or so.<br>
<br>
At the same time as the other 3 shifters, Shifter #4<br>
now is fighting 3 targets. It grows 4 more arms and hands<br>
with claws. It begins to swing and claw all 3 wildly. The<br>
two claws at Mae, by two weird arms in his back, miss her<br>
as she dodges. Both claws do hit Z'leyra but her chainmail<br>
protects the blows. Both claws at Z'layha fail to strike the<br>
woman.<br>
<br>
Zin stands behind Mae waiting.<br>
<br>
Arawn puts down the whistle as it is not needed. He<br>
considers his options. To get his weapon but realizes<br>
it is gone to the lava. He then realizes Z'leyra is<br>
weaponless but it would take time to get her weapon and<br>
move that way. He then recalls the piece of shifter-metal<br>
created by Zin and glances down. it is still there In<br>
the form of a finger shaped object. He glances at the<br>
Cryx and grabs the shifter-transmuted-metal-thing. He<br>
places it onto the Cryx and the finger long tube reforms<br>
into a long dagger sharp object. Does this mean the<br>
object could transform any Shifter live or dormant? He<br>
could throw at the tusker-shifter or run to help Arawn but<br>
considers the Cryx and its mystifying nature.<br>
<br>
Kell sees the tusk-thing charge and releases Kiet turning<br>
his back on him and leans down to grabs his own spear<br>
and shield hoping it is his and not the others like Pyan<br>
or Mournath. He braces his feet and raises his shield.<br>
<br>
Mournath turns around and sees the scene around him. What<br>
are these things? One with a tusk and one attacking poor<br>
Fremea and Z'leyra. He then sees Kell raise his shield<br>
and does the same. Maybe both men can deflect the creature<br>
and get it close enough to attack.<br>
<br>
Fuk watches Mournath and Kell act as shield bearers and<br>
realizes this is a good tactic and waits for the tusk<br>
thing to move close. Then he recalls on the pile below<br>
is Unali's ornate sheath with dagger in it. He spots<br>
another dagger but is unsure if it's hers. But the ornate<br>
sheath is good. He reaches down picks it up and throws<br>
it at Unali's feet. "Unali!" It lands at her feet still<br>
sheathed.<br>
<br>
Z'leyra grabs her sister and yanks her away toward the<br>
north west to get her gear. She knows she has left Mae<br>
but the girl can fly away. Both end up just south of<br>
the altar.<br>
<br>
Mae stabs Shifter #4 with the dagger once again and does<br>
a deep stab to his back.<br>
<br>
Pyan leans down and finds his bow, quiver, sling.<br>
<br>
Dorhak looks around and sees Fremea dazed but knows she<br>
can just fly away. Then he also raises his shield to<br>
figure out his next move.<br>
<br>
[Phase 5]<br>
<br>
Actions? Comments?<br>
<br>
Next Update.. Saturday?<br>
<br>
GM: This was a sloppy update sorry guys. I was a bit<br>
rushed and some plans had to be redone. This is not<br>
how I was going to do it but it works for now. Keep<br>
in mind the shifters move fast so they were able to<br>
hurt Z and Unali before they could react. Nothing<br>
good avoiding that. I need to do a project that will take<br>
a good amount of time. Maybe a week or two. So this<br>
will take time away from update. Thus I can't guarantee<br>
when the next one will be out. If I have time I will try<br>
Saturday but don't keep hope alive. This project needs<br>
to be done fast so I'm sorry. I'll try to get a head's<br>
up on it later. For now I've run out of time tonight and<br>
this is as best I can do. All members can move freely.<br>
<br>
GM: Arawn - Will try to email you on things tonight since<br>
emailed actions changed as warned. Stay tuned. I<br>
could not figure out what for phase 4 what to do.<br>
So hope it works.<br>
<br>
Fremea - You could fly to get/find your dagger or continue<br>
to grapple? You are so fast that you could probably<br>
fly find dagger if lucky and fly back to attack the<br>
shifter?<br>
<br>
Mae - Will assume you stay to continue to leech but<br>
you are now there with a 6 armed shifter alone with<br>
only Zin and a small dagger. :)<br>
<br>
Z'leyra - I was going to do the mind shield but figure<br>
based on the posted actions to get the great sword was<br>
the bigger concern? Did not have time to chat on this<br>
sorry.<br>
