As the others study the tree-gated cave entrance, and all of them continue to study the complicated lay of the land around them, Raddok listens to the plans being hatched. This group’s varied gifts means that planning ahead makes the best use of everyone’s talents, and Raddok is always learning something new about them.

Raddok says, “Since our rings seem to be active again, I can contribute one or two twin-fire bolts to our large adversaries. Where do you recommend I aim – mid-body, or low to disable their legs? And I feel that using only one charge now would be better for us, in case the ring should be needed again later today. Whatever ‘today’ turns out to be for us.”

After waiting to hear the response from the group to his question, Raddok then observes. “I don’t like the look of that cave – who knows what’s in there; we need to be careful. Getting into the cave is only the start,” and looking around at all the barriers & shrubbery around them, Raddok continues, “we need to work around all these logs carefully. I’d rather not have all the piles either roll over on us, or be tossed by the giants at us. I don’t want to waste a ring shot on wood piles. I am game to try to hit these giants when they’re down, but getting kicked by one is not on my list of favorite activities for today.” He grins sympathetically.
