Kiet contemplates what is being said in plans to attack the giants.  He has an idea.

"With my rings, when they work, I can seriously damage even a giant.  Maybe kill one if lucky.  I can hit them at 60’.  The nice part is there’s no smoke to give us away to others."

"Z’leyra, you are a Balance wizard.  Any chance you have the astral fire spell?  You could hide, I and Fremea could draw them in, then they burn.  Between the damage we cause and that spell, the giants might not be much trouble."

"After that, I’ve heard that if you can get behind them, you can cut the tendon at the ankle then they can’t walk or stand.  While still dangerous, they at least are more vulnerable when on our level.
