                 Sorry about not posting, but I 
never got the email with the last update.  Comcast is sometimes worthless.

                 Ugh!  Looks like it is sending 
it to spam.  I’ll have to watch that.

                 The voice continues...“What is 
there but not seen? What encompasses 

            GM: Ack. Spam can be a issue. :)

            The voice continues...“What is there 
but not seen? What encompasses the mind and 
heart? Without it one is lost. With it one has 
direction and purpose. What is it?”

            Dorhak shakes his head, wondering 
what these dwarves were thinking. Silly questions 
for his people.  They should be asking about 
great art carvings, or gold, or stone, things all 
dwarves are familiar with.  Instead, they are 
looking for a philosopher.  Dorhak doesn’t like these games.

            He loudly calls out, "I know of 
several such things.  Consciousness, Faith, 
Courage, and how many others?  Can you not come 
up with questions that have but one answer?"

            He spits on the ground and stands 
defiant, braced behind his shield, mace in hand, 
ready for whatever they have to throw against him 
despite the likelihood of not being capable of 
defending himself against these wards.

            Behind him Dorhak can hear Raddok 
translate.  But Arawn is studying the wall more 
carefully. The wards are intelligent and it seems 
self aware.  Very powerful, almost likely divine, 
magic here.  But the wards are here for testing 
of dwarves.  Not humans or elves.  He knows 
dwarfs are a proud race but not the best thinkers 
around.  If only they could bypass the self-aware 
thing?  Surely the wards are listening but can 
they see?  If only he could communicate without 
communicating to Dorhak.   He know Sign Language? 
Course he'd have to look but would the wards 
notice?  What else could he do to help Dorhak?

            The Wards turn to yellow then quickly 
red, “Incorrect!” It booms at least twice as loud 
as before.  Then 2 seconds late a rumble seems to 
be heard and it becomes louder and louder.  It 
passes all around the party in the cave.

            Velf darts off to the entrance, “cave 
in!”  Then he runs into a large woman – 
Unali.  He bolts backwards surprised then noticed 
Fremea who furls her wings behind her.  “What the-”

            The rumble stops.  Dorhak grins.  He 
has been in thousands of caves.  A infant dwarf 
could tell you if that rumble was a minor slide 
or a full cave in. Rocks shift all the time.  But 
Dorhak realizes its vibrations are loud but not 
solid enough – for a cave in.  Its almost as 
if....no?  Can't be.  Could the mountain – or the 
wards – have laughed slightly?

            Velf turns to the others then back to 
Unali, 'you two with them? Fine.” He walks back 
to his place at the front just as Barbosa glares 
at Arawn wondering if its time to throw Velf over the side.

            Velf places hands on hips, “that has 
never happened before.  Ask them if this place is 
stable?'  Raddok nods and already can figure out 
the answer himself from his mine experience.  It 
was probably a minor rock shift to him.

         Actions? Comments?

         Next Update...Saturday?

         GM: Dorhak is a tad busy lately so I 
have given a slight hint to Arawn and others.  So 
that more can help.  That way we can move 
on.  This is the major issue with riddles in 
pbems is the time delay. :) Why I try to avoid 
them.  In the 20 years – 8 adventures I think I 
only tried it twice? Riddles are better for table 
top games so can be done fast.  So that others 
(ALL) can help I added this bit and so we can 
move on.  Will try next update Sat based on what stuff I get.  Thanks guys!
