[While in Provini  Apris 9th]


   OOC:   In addition to training others, resupplying, and overseeing repairs from the hailstorm Arawn will look for a water-tight container designed to float to carry a book in. If one isn't immediately found he'll hire someone to search for him, offering a commission based on success.

   The high-pitched whistling alert penetrated below deck, reaching Arawn's sensitive ears. Suddenly roused from the dreamlands he instinctively reached under his pillow for wand and dagger before spinning to his feet. As he rushed towards the upper deck he grabbed his buckler and great helm, slipping the latter on as he made for the stairs. [OOC: If there's time to grab his bow and quiver without slowing him down he'll take them as well]



   Upon reaching the upper deck his attention was immediately drawn to the aquatic titan and then to Mae, who seemed to be looking for him if her expression told him anything.


   "What'd I miss?"

-   Arawn will inform others he'll be preparing a Battle-Mind spell at max EL - so should be able to include up to 6 people.   He'll include Pyan, Raddok, Mae, Ix, Mournath, and Barbasa unless they disagree to the spell. If they do he'll accept any PC volunteers first followed by the sailors if he has inclusions left.]


 - Scott, you seemed to indicate that the giant is Kotothi in messenger. But if there's any indicator that the giant might be Elder instead of Kotothi Arawn will shift his focus to attempting to communicate with it using Elven Empathic Communication.


-   In the meanwhile he'll continue to prepare for possible battle by casting Repel Evil at max EL. This will be followed by Energy Shield at max EL. If combat seems imminent then he'll start by Summoning - Water Elemental (Water Beasts) using the wand. He'll follow that up with Negate Magic in case the giant attempts to use magic.]
