If nobody wants dagger #3, and we choose from the magic items
like normal, Kiet would make claim to it. Happy to make
random roll and dice for it if someone else wants it.
Also, Kiet might be interested in buying some of those
choice jewels. A small number. Maybe the matching sapphires.
They would make a nice ensemble.
GM: Ack. May need to be specific on which jewels you want.

GM: Ack. So your loot to party shares? I want to confirm
this. I will have to find the email on the items generated.

Z'leyra will help determine the values and enchantment of the
items. She will donate her share of the gems, jewelry and magic
items to the Kameri.
She intends to practice teleport a lot but realizes that it
will take dozens of practice teleports to get good enough to
teleport to Sivas. If she does get skilled enough, fast enough,
she will try to make it to the funeral.
She and her sister expect to do a LOT of explaining to the
tribal elders over the coming days, perhaps weeks.
GM: Ack. Remembr you are not in Sivas so all those gems checking
would have to be there. I doubt party will wait a month
for you to return to do so. :) So to confirm you give
all of your loot share to Kamerans? Party is simply selling
all so I don't know how to divide up 'your' share of gems
unless you get the gems of value and let me know which
one but that'll take time. Since party doesn't have a grand
total until sold its hard to figure out which might be
a share for you? Logistics. If idea on how to resolve this
let me know. If ask others Chion can come and pick you up
at a certain time. It'd only take him 2 jumps.

I have a more detailed post to send out later today but for
now, ust in case I run short on time, I thought I'd send this
out.
Arawn's share -
Arawn isn't worried about a share of the coin. His only
interest would be in the magical Bastard Sword 3 (MEL 8/EL 4
with Creature Power - Fay Horses tie)
Mournath's share -
Should he return and ask Arawn would be happy to do what
he can to give him a share. But as he chose to leave Arawn
isn't pressed to hunt him down to do so, he'll leave it up to
Mournath to contact the group.
Z'layha's and Kameran's share -
Arawn feels she and they deserve at least an equal share and
if that takes the form of barter items in lieu of coin he's
happy to comply. If she prefers, he can bring some items back
from Marentia instead that she can use for personal barter as
well as other items to help her people. If she prefers this
they can set a secret location and date for this to happen.
Raki's share -
I'm completely good with Raki having an equal share. And
though he does have a fair share of memories from Kell, Arawn
is willing to share a place to stay and teach him about the
Middle World when he's able to.
As Arawn may be in and out of Marentia a bit, anyone want to
help share in the responsibility of assisting Raki to adjust to
things in the Middle World?
Kell's share -
Arawn not only will be there for the funeral but also feels
that a full share of the money should go to his family.
'Worthless' gems:
If the party goes with Kiet's plan on using the worst of the
lot for Jeweler practice Arawn will work on a few. He's a few
points shy of EL80 so may as well take advantage:)
GM: Ack. So you want no share just the sword? As to Kameran
Share Chion can send any items when picks up Z if she
plans to come back this way. She needs to let him know
which date in advance. You have a place for Raki to stay? :)

If Z'leyra's teleport isn't strong enough by the funeral date
Arawn can translocate to meet her and bring her to the funeral.
He can check in with her a week before then at a predetermined
point to discuss this if she wishes.
Or Chion can do so as I recall it being listed that he would
offer to teleport us as needed to the funeral.
GM: Ack. You'd not know until she does IBT and you do IBT.
It would be difficult for 'what ifs' So as I said
Chion can pick her up if need be. But she has to decide.

Scott, I didn't see the Fireball ring listed under magical

Cetric:
Arawn returned Cetric's greeting in a most warm manner,
"Do you know if he encountered my companion? Corsaya...
Sivas and Xian:
Arawn pursed his lips slightly, his eyes narrowing ...
"He's looking for Corona. And I'm guessing Lady Varo...
Kell's Funeral:
Preferably Chion can teleport the party, Arawn included. But
if Chion's not able to do so, Arawn is willing to ride to
Ba'ru to scout out a teleport spot. He'll then translocate the
party to Ba'ru. Just let me know what the group/those attending
want to do and I'll do my best to adapt.
GM: Ack. Yes I will add Ring. I figured you'd claim it.
Xian's scene was just a Bonus. If party had selected
his adventure it might've been the opening scene. :)
But it does give hints. :)

Also, something to think about - does anyone want to adopt
Squirt?
Kiet, you were closest to Kell so Squirt might feel
comfortable with you. If you're not sure Arawn can always
communicate with Squirt to explain things and see what he'd
like. And, no surprise, Arawn is up for caring for him as well.
Heck, he could even become a house pet for Fremea's
orphanage:)
GM: Ack. Squirt is at Fremea's right now. Firesnakes
are deaf so a communicate is useless. They only know
a few sign language signals.

Z'leyra will cast a Summon Eagle spell (Orient Self EL0 then
summon eagle at max EL thru her staff) in order to summon Corona
or at least summon an eagle to pass the message around among
eagles for where Corona can likely find her over the coming
month.

[Time: 5:15 pm]
Z'leyra will mention "I do offer to cut and enhance the Star
Topaz gem and to enhance the topaz and jade that are both large
enough and flawless enough to be enhanced into natural magic
items. I think that I may have the best chance for success. As
to who gets them after enhancement...we can argue who has the
greatest use for them."
The party wonders how can she do this while they are in Sivas
and she stays here a month?
[Kameran Village]
[Time: 5:15 pm]
Z'leyra sits at the table and devours the food.
Her niece giggles at her aunt wolfing the food.
"Your like Corona!"
Z'leyra perks up and asks.
Z'lart nods, "after you left or whatever. We still
need to talk about that...later." He glances at his
daughter not wanting the details. "But he came here
and is out back. He has....gained a few pounds as your
niece has been...well feeding him a lot."
[Eastern Zen'da Plains - Cetric's Tribe]
[Time: 6:01 pm]
Cetric greets Arawn with glee.
Arawn returned Cetric's greeting in a most warm manner,
comfortable with the wise old shaman. The man's words brought
a measure of ease to the alfar, though trouble shadowed his
brow.
"Do you know if he encountered my companion? Corsaya is not
one to allow near anyone to handle her."
While the rest of the group eyed the meager food available
to them Arawn continued to chat privately with Cetric before
promising to return soon, after returning the others to Marentia.
"No need. We've lived here for many seasons. We use what
we use and nothing more. So we were not expecting company
or would've made more. We have more if need be. As
to the Koti you mentioned we have the items somewhere Now
let's go find them." Cetric steps toward the bulk of the
tipis.
Arawn wonders why he ignored his question. Then they
round a large tipi used to store supplies. Arawn smiles to
see his horse eating grass.
"Many months ago...early summer if I recall. She just
came into the village. As you figure we can't get near
her. She does let some kids play nearby. But no one can't
ride her. We were able to check her hooves and they seemed
fine. If she traveled all this way you'd expect them to
be bad."
The horse lifts his head and notices Arawn. Arawn approaches
and pets her. If she traveled a thousand miles from here
to Kameran she must've known the path. But why didn't she
get to Sivas? Then the druid recalls they teleported here
so a trail would've been lost.
[Sivas, Marentia]
[Time: Just after arriving and down from Library roof]
The crazed man exits into a white portal.
Arawn pursed his lips slightly, his eyes narrowing with
trouble or thought as Xian disappeared in a flash.
"He's looking for Corona. And I'm guessing Lady Varo is
involved," he said, sighing.
"We should probably check in with Ben'dar. I have a feeling
Tef'wo might have been or will be paid a visit. And maybe we
can figure out what terrible fate we'll end up involved with
in the future."
The party hears the words but only Fremea and Unali seem
to understand the meaning. Unali nods it makes sense. So
maybe Xian wanted to just have Corona visit Lady Varo?
Maelorna blinks and it takes her a moment to realize, they're
finally back at a city. She can smell the stench of a multitude
of bodies and even at this late night hear the din of
civilization. Though she has no need to feed, another more
hedonistic hunger awakens within her and she squeals with delight
and stretches with a dancer's grace easily showing off her lithe
body through the shirt.
Maelorna looks down at the city and then steps back to look
at Arawn as he talks quietly with her. She smiles gratefully
at him and while still talking, digs through her pack and starts
to pull out articles of clothing and brightens up as she manages
to find a bottle of perfume.
Without much care of whom might be watching, she yanks off the
shirt she had been given and slips on undergarments and then
takes her time with her gown, before securing the ties about
herself. A spare belt she secures about her slim waist and
she makes use of the perfume, before tending to her hair, all
the while still speaking with Arawn.
Unali is puzzled by the Xian encounter. She will relate some of
who Xian is and how he was fighting his evil brother at the time
they met. He seems to have aged more than she has in the same
time, even with the time shift of her recent trip.
As the group walks to Cholan's tavern she tells the story of
how Timon, Xian's brother kidnapped King Maros. How the
party saved him and gained powerful friends from then on. That
Timon has some hand in possibly other later adventures. All
but Dorhak seem to listen intently the rushed story. For
the dwarf Arawn helps translates complicated things.
[Time: 6:51 pm]
[Sivas, Marentia]
The party climbs down from the Library roof and notice
the library is closed or locked. While curious the party
is starving and want some warm drinks. They did partake
in things in the forest but they have almost a year's
worth of hunger to feed.
[Time: 7:12 pm]
The party arrives at Cholan's tavern with Unali and
Arawn leading the way. With the doors opened a flood
of noise is heard as it is packed for dinner. Some
in the room turn and notice the party and look shocked.
The party sees Kaylle and Chion sitting in a corner table.
They see Cholan and his wife busy bustling drinks and
food around.
Cholan the ex-sailor with the bad arm stops in mid
step and almost drops his tray. He rushes to the
door. "I thought you guys were dead! Chion didn't
believe it! But you are here. It has been almost
a year!" He looks around and decides. "Use the back
room for the large tables. I'll come back and catch
up when I can."
Chion smiles at seeing Arawn and Unali. He stands
and waits for the party to approach. But Kaylle stares
at Arawn and the party. Not so much shocked as confused.
Then the librarian stands and smiles.
Cholan's wife, Kes motions for the party to follow.
There a large banquet style room is for private use.
It could fit 30. The party takes their seats and
watches as Kes stokes the fire in the fireplace. "Viktor
is now a year and half. Walking all over. He is upstairs
but when the dinner crowd leaves can bring him down. Now
let's get your orders.."
[Time: 7:35 pm]
As the party drinks warm drinks and eat warm bread
the party turns to talk about the loot.
Kiet is truly interested in the worthless gems.
"Let's not be rid of the worthless gems. I know I would love
to use them to practice on. Really, we could divide them
evenly between those of us that might want them for that
purpose. They may not bring much increase in value, but
they do bring value in skill."
"I think we should give our newest 'friends' first pick of
the magic items. The better they are able to fight, the longer
we might all live."
"I know that I don't have any problem giving up to 25% of
my treasure share for Kell and his final expenses. I don't
even know what his 'family' needs might be. But I know I will
make sure he is taken care of at his final resting place...at
least for his bones." Kiet looks over to Raki and says
"Perhaps you can help me honor my friend and his family as
he might have wanted."
Raki who changed into a person that looked like he saw
on the street, a vender, looks at Kiet. It would be no good
to look like Kell for now. "I do not have great details.
These are only surface thoughts. But he thought of his
family near the end. He has 3 sisters, 2 brothers and
parents. They own a small grape farm in the hills outside
Ba'ru. But I will have to try to recall their names. But
we can work together on finding the details."
Kes puts down some plates of ham, "Kell? Where is he?"
The party informs her of Kell's death. After she recovers
from a quick bout of tears, she explains, "He wrote letters
from here. We talked at times. I have contact info as well.
When things die down we'll share info."
The dwarf thinks about what Kiet said. "That's a good idea
about those gems. Can I get in on that?"
Also, he looks at the magic treasure and starts to almost
drool. "If nobody wants that short sword, I wouldn't mind taking
that!"
Also, he thinks about this amount of treasure and turning it
into raw gold! Maybe being with this group isn't such a bad
idea!
Chion sits back having ate with Kaylle. "I just figured you
might be around. They claimed you were swallowed whole. But
I know this group. You guys have a odd knack of escaping death.
After Cholan and Duke Aren asked about you I investigated.
They were clueless. I detected great magic but the details around
that accident were unclear to me. I tried to find Xian to see
if he could help. But he's been missing for a long time. I
could not find your horse." He glances at Arawn. "Sorry. But
I did find all other gear. I either stashed it at Unali's
or Z'leyra's place. I'm sure it is all there. Duke Aren
decided to wait a full month before declaring you dead. So we
did not go through the bags. There...might be stale stuff."
Mae looks at the treasure and gives a derisive snort, "Other
than the belt, I have no claim on any share. But I can obtain
wealth easily enough, as there are plenty of surprises in
trousers as well as pockets. You would not believe how many
men or women desire companionship and are more than willing to
part with coin for a bit of pleasure, while those who are not,
can be persuaded to part with more than they wanted and remain
happy for it. Fortunately, without the collar, I'm not having
to act against my desires, just having to keep an eye out for
Master Gniled's thugs and cultists," she says with a playful
giggle and looks down at the city.
The large Shaman-warrior Chion eyes the red head. He
smirks a obvious interest. Until she mentioned many men.
Then he turns away figuring she is just one of those. He
wonders who she and the dwarf are.
"I must confess, however, I do not know which city we are
located in, but if it's like the last city I was in. I'll
easily be able to survive and thrive. Maybe even obtain
information if you need from sources otherwise less than willing
to part with such? The only danger I need worry about is
encountering others of my kind upset at encroaching upon their
hunting grounds, " as she holds up a hand, "no, I am not talking
about my more delightful side, but rather, whores or rogues."
Arawn frowns at the thought of her going wild. The city guards
would surely notice and probably try to jail her. Sure brothels
are here in town. But they are quiet places.
Cholan brings more ale for the dwarf. "This is Sivas darling.
The nation of Marentia. A nice place full of decent folks and
decent laws." Then he returns to the bar outside.
Mae realizes she is also been here before.
"As you wish, though I would suggest you take the share of
money, or at least a portion of it. You earned it but, more
importantly, it is far easier to survive in this city when you
have options. And coin provides a powerful source of options.
Stick around for a bit and I'll show you around town. And
perhaps the others may help you to do so as well."
Arawn talks about Squirt.
"Um...no", says Kiet. "He's more trouble than he's worth!"
Kiet thinks to himself.
Thinking that he has an idea, Kiet adds "Maybe Raki would
be interested...?"
Arawn raised an eyebrow. "Then let's see what Squirt wants
once we're all together again."
Raki is busy eating some of the apple pie finding new
sensations. He perks up. "That?..me? We shall see. Where
is that Cholan fella..this pie is wonderful!"
Mae finally finishes and waits patiently while the others make
their choices and then walks over to what's left. "After
speaking with Arawn and now that I realize my rashness. While
I can come across quite a bit of wealth, it would cause a
detriment to the group and I will need to ask for at least a
share of the coin. If none desired one of the magic daggers,
then I would ask for such. Barring that Dorhak demands that as
the treasure he wants that I obtain. If the belt isn't enough
to satisfy his claim. I will not argue or plead for something
another has chosen. With luck, I might be able to eventually
craft or commission another to craft something to either enhance
my other half's abilities or possible a battery as a backup for
those times that no life is avail for me to feed upon other than
the group."
"Other than those items specifically asked for by those in
the company, the gems and jewelry are usually sold off and the
coin split. You'll have your share of it, so no worries. And I'm
in favor if you claiming one of the daggers. If Dorhak desires
it from you then I'll see what I can do to compensate one or the
other. As to a battery or some other back-up to those times when
the hunger threatens you, I'll work on this. Though if Z'leyra
has the time and desire to assist it will always be welcome."
As some mingle and stand Unali asks Chion if she could
get a lift to Maren City. The large man bows, "of course
Mi'lady."
[Time: 8:15 pm]
The tavern has gotten quiet and all have been fed and
no longer starving.

GM: Adventure is over so all this role playing is fine but
not required. it can be OOC stuff. :) The delay was
catching up to all the posts. As I type this 4 more
from a player came in emails. Sigh it never ends.
I will work on treasure updates based on above. Then
post the treasure stuff on the website as a link
for real time viewing. After that I need to
finish Arawn and Z'leyra's sheets for them so start
IBT. Kinda can't start IBT without that. But
everyone else is ready. I then may do a generic
update for the funeral. Probably do more detailed
info on each IBT for funeral. But if you are going
let me know, how (chion, horse, boat) and how long
(1-2 days).If nothing is said will assume 1 day by Chion.
Lately I've been swamped. I get 300-400 emails a day.
A lot are 1 question then another email another This
slows things down so takes a bit longer. So just a FYI
for reasons. This is why I tend to reply and gather the
10-12 emails you send into one reply. Easier but
as with today I am down to 2 emails then 12 more come
in so it is frustrating at times. :)
GM: Advtime.txt - Adventure Timeline file updated on website.
It was 300 days since party left Marentia and 350 days
since Adventure started. This helps for me to update
the pbem summary file which is on my agenda.
Items.txt- Items of Campaign file updated on site.
Added a bit on prison and Cryx. Just FYI as reference
for future reference.
Contacts - A good time to update any contact info for
public use for the Contacts link on site if you so
desire. As much info as can will help the reason we
lost Mark was lack of info.
GM: Funeral for Kell in Ba'ru:
* I assume all may want to go but Mae, Dorhak and maybe
Raki are exempt. If you guys want to know let me know.
* Travel: I posted in a quick post the details on
number of miles and distance by horse and boat. If
you wish these methods let me know. If you wish
Chion for a teleport let me know.
* Days to stay:
Kiet, Unali 1-2+ days
I will assume all but the ones listed above will go
by Chion. If you do not wish to do so let me know
asap. Pyan I suppose you could also skip since you
didn't know him well? Assume at least a full day
there but if want more then let me know.
I may work on this update next week so if can let me know
by then?
GM: Reminder for those with max Stats you can still buy
Multipliers and Tweaks. But need to do before IBT
if best so don't have to redo sheets again. For new
folks not a issue but you can skim those links on site
later to see what one can do. Tweaks do NOT affect
other stats like take away from CEL or such. This
xEP pool is for this purpose.
GM: Based on David's questions I'm working on a rule set
for length of time to make jewelry and such. Will take
a day or two. If you plan to make such can wait till
these rules are done so can have a better understanding.
GM: Irma - I'm not worried. But folks around me are. Sure
we will get rain and some winds. But I suspect power
could be the main problem. Power, Rain, Wind in that
order. So if power goes out Sun/Mon not sure how long.
Alex will be first to know and can let folks know as
I'll not be online. Last year I was out for 3 or so days.
So don't expect mail or updates next week if this is the
case.

Z/Unali we need to sit downa and figure out actual
floor plans. So we can see how many rooms. For
others folks will have to find places to stay.
Raki will stay with Kaylle in library for a bit.
I know Z does her usual invite but we don't know
how many actual rooms she has.
GM: Treasure Updates:
Sigh. When I did this update I had notes on each post
and claims. Sadly when I spell checked I deleted
said notes. I went back and re-read Recap. I hope
I did not miss anything. If so let me know please.
The treasure can be found now on 2 links at the
very bottom of my game site. I will update this site
in real time as new things come in. How about we
try to resolve things by 9/22? Then I can divide up
stuff. Now claims can be conflicted with others.
It can be resoled by claimers or a die roll or
something.
If it is not decided what to do with some items
like gems >100 SC or magic items then those
items will be sold for party share. If have
questions ask.
