Kiet is a bit annoyed at the casual way these people are with their horses.  He doesn't really hide that fact.  "I don't intend to abandon my horses, especially Ma Siwang!  It took much luck and effort to acquire her."

"We obviously cannot go overland north from here, not with it still being winter and the Elder Mountains between us.  That would be suicide.  So, can whoever provides the teleport do so in a way to bring all my horses back?  I think it would be unwise to go north thru Zen'da land without strong horses."
