I would have mentioned forest or even woods or even rocks if 
possible.  But in this area its low hills.  You might have 3-4 skinny 
trees in one area  and clumps of knee high bushes.  Nothing ot hide in.
Best bet tactically was to actually stay close up together. Why I 
gave option to choose map locations.
Sadly for the bad guys you did well for the first few rounds.
As I said I'd originally would've done 2 phases.
Update !4  - They get clsoer
Update 15 - They get closer
Update 16 - Finally in range..fire!
so..2 updates a full week of you reading they get closer.  So I felt 
getting them within Bow/Long Bow range worked better.
