      [Recap]

         From Fremea: [Re: Actions]
Fremea looks at the girl she just rescued, seeing she seems
to be in good enough shape to at least move a little bit,
she gets her to the shop across the street. It seems that
Arawn wants them to go there.

As she begins to move that direction, she hears Etain yelp
and jump a little. She sees Kiet with the other girl. "Hurry!..
         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
"Understandable and acceptable," Arawn politely ...

OOC: Once everyone is ready Arawn will cast Invisibility
to cloak himself and anyone in contact with him before making
his way toward and into the store.
         GM: Ack.

         From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
When it seems that she has time with no enemies to deal
with Z'leyra will ask for some help in dressing her wound
and then will cast a high EL Healing to try and get healthy
again. After that she will put back on her armor and accompany
the party members. Later she will take some time to see if she
can try and repair her chainmail.
GM: Ack. Repairing armor will take time so will have to remind
             me later. I'll forget.

         From Unali: [Re: Actions]
Unali will assist Z'leyra taking of her armor in a quiet
side street and help get her wound
dressed.
         GM: Ack.

         From Kiet: [Re: Actions]
When Kiet sees Etain he is somewhat relieved. ....
         GM: Ack.

      [New Stuff]

          [Sepes 29th, 1634TH]
          [Location: City of Samma, Donara]

[Time: 1:26:02 am - Samma city, Donara]

The small group leaves the alley heading for the Military
Center. It would be bad to have a patrol find them with
dead bodies. Too many nasty questions. Jordi leads the
way occasionally stopping to get his bearings.

But Z'leyra finds her body starting to weaken. She
asks to stop. The group finds another dark alley and
Z'leyra stands and gathers her will. She begins to
remove her armor with the help of Raban and Unali. Jordi
          keeps look out.

Lifting her burnt tunic Unali shivers at the blistered
skin. She has seen burns before but this is bad. the
chainmail seemed to have added more damage from the heat
of the splash. It is still better than any armor out
there on the planet but it is clearly damaged. Z'leyra
and Unali begin to treat her burns.

Z'leyra goes through her satchel of healing materials.
She pulls out ointments, balms and the flask of burn
ointment. But she is dismayed to find the flask of
burn ointment is empty. She curses the mistake in
inventory and begins to make a mixture of herbs and
balms to try at least do something. The mixture isn't
perfect but it should help for now.

After some minutes treating her wounds, Z'leyra gets
into a shamanic trance with her drum. She then casts
healing on herself. The green energy shoots mostly on
her back from all over her body. She goes from about 50%
life to only about 10% damage. Her wounds heal almost
completely but she still has some blisters and sores.

Satisfied Unali and Raban help re-don her damaged
chainmail. Ready to move back out.

                         --------------------

Moments before Fremea lands on the ground with the girl
Ozon begins to move away toward the shop.

"Understandable and acceptable," Arawn politely replied
          in response to Ozon's ponderance.

Arawn met the man's gaze before giving quick nod to signal
his understanding at the pair's departure, studying the thief
as he worked his way into the store's interior. Once faded
from view he kept a careful watch for Fremea's arrival while
          keeping himself busy.

Arawn sees Fremea land with the girl. The Druid moves
toward them smiling to ensure the girl.

"He's inside but he doesn't want us to be seen," he quietly
informed the two. "Hold on to me if you wish and I'll cloak our
          passage."

Arawn motions for Corona to descend a bit. In the tongue
of the eagle he asks him to watch the shop for anyone that
          comes out.

Then Kiet opens the back door startling the Elf at the door.

When Kiet sees Etain he is somewhat relieved. After being
on his own for this time he wasn't certain what any of the
others would do. Still, Kiet is pretty perplexed over the
actions of Bogan and now having both a haul of goods and this
young girl to haul around. "By Inanna's lopsided teats, what
is going on here tonight!?" he says to the old Elf. "No. Wait!
Don't try to explain now. We have to get out of here fast. Do
you know where we can go?"

Kiet shakes his head and grumbles. This must be Fremea's
doing, at least as far as the kid goes. That faerry is a little
bit crazy when it comes to kids. We're going to have to do
something about that before it gets us all killed. Helping
slaves escape will earn us the ire of the criminals AND the
          authorities.

Arawn looks at both girls and motions with a calming gesture.
"We'll see you safely away from here but for now please stay
close and don't let go of my hand until I tell you."

As Fremea begins to move that direction, she hears Etain yelp
and jump a little. She sees Kiet with the other girl. "Hurry!
All of us to the shop that Arawn is pointing at."

Arawn grabs the young girl but the older girl stays away
confused by the whole situation. She tags along with Kiet.
Arawn then casts a spell to become invisible.

Fremea looks to the dark shop across he street at the back
of the gaming hall. The shop is a single story one with large
open dark windows in front. Nearing she can see a sign that
looks like based on the symbol, for those who can't read, to
be a furniture shop or furniture repair shop.

The first to enter the shop is Etain then Kiet and the older
teenager. Arawn uses this chance to slip inside invisible.
Before entering the shop Arawn casts two other spells.

Fremea turns to the hall just in time to hear a pop then
another pop. Sounds like Bogan foolishly stored some oil
for his lanterns in that storage room. Idiot. The wooden
structure should not take too long. But now she sees no
          flames.

Fremea enters the store back in her illusionary disguise.
Entering she finds a shop that is 50 feet wide and about 80
feet deep. There is a door to the back that likely is for
a workshop or office. To the left and right in the main
room are pieces of furniture like couches, leather chairs,
office desks and other small items. It is not cluttered
but it would be a maze in the dark to wade through. At
the back some 40 feet away is a raises counter almost like
a bar area that lines the entire length of the room from
left to right. Likely for clerks to work and do business.
There are what looks like shelves behind that on the wall.

Behind the bar directly in front of the door to the back
is a man that must be Ozon. Only his upper chest and above
is seen. His arms are to his sides. Next to him behind
the bar as well is the first girl Fremea helped. She seems
          well but a bit concerned.

Seeing the thief there with the first girl she rescued seems
a little odd to her. Does he plan to hurt her? This one might
be harder to stop, but she will do what is necessary to protect
the kids and get them safe to have a better life. "So, you are
Ozon? I have some questions for you."

Arawn watches the thief holding the younger girl. His
enhanced sense of smell brings everything to him. The allure
of the leather, chemicals, much dust, sawdust, the older girl
by Kiet seems to be her cycle, Kiet's sweat, even Etain's
faint smell of his body from many recent drinks of ale. The
Priest circles on Ozon to grab his scent.

"You there. The Elf which I can't see. I know your there.
You are all alike. Using your abilities. But when you tried
to hide watch where you step. The sawdust under your feet
draws attention. But try not to get closer." Ozon then
          turns to Fremea.

Arawn curses mentally that this thief is quiet unique
and skilled. Very observant for a human with a shop
that is in pitch darkness. He doubts only the girls and
Kiet are in the dark so to speak. The Sidh probably
have no issue seeing in the shop. Irza hen places something
on the table and lights a candle. This brings the shop
to a somewhat less dark form but makes many shadows in the
back wall. Now at least the humans can see the Thief as well.

Irza gasps suddenly and points to the front. This draws
the attention of everyone but Fremea who stares ahead. All
that look out the window see flames suddenly shoot out the
roof of the right side of the building on the west side of
the second story. Fremea just smiles and Kiet shakes his
          head.

"You did that? Bogan is my best fence!"

                                 --------------

Back across town the group moves fast with Jordi's help to
find the Military Center. After leaving a industrial area
and then a residential area the area is near. It leads to
a park and a building in the center. The park is about 1-2
miles in various directions around the building. The park
is mostly open fields with some park picnic style tables.
This is in the south and north. To the west and east are
wooded areas. In the east the woods get to within about 50
feet of the building. To the west the woods are half a mile
          away.

The building a two story building with a fountain in the
front in the south side of the building. It looks like this
park is used by guests for functions or parties.

Closing toward the place the group sees a flagstone with
a stone pillar that looks like a small monument with gold
on the front. Likely not pure gold but plated like it.

The group stares at the building in the darkness. They
are standing in the south east. The building is shown in
shadows mostly but the first floor has inset wall lanters that
light up walkways every 30 feet. This gives the building
a illuminated perimeter. The flag pole is also lit up by
a set of two large lanterns.

The group is about 100 feet away watching the building
          in shadow.

            "That it?" Jordi asks.

Raban seems to nod. "Looks like it based on Fremea's
          description."

                                 --------------

Fremea ignores Ozon's comment amused by the discomfort of
the thief. Fremea asks about the painting. Who hired him.
          Why did he steal it?

Arawn hopes his spell worked so he can tell if the Thief is
telling the truth. If not he may not know.

"The Gorlic thing? Bogan dos all my contracts. He handles
all those who hire me. Some jobs I do my own. But you should've
asked him. But now I guess you can't? I was told it was a
man who was hired by another person. This is a common practice.
nobles don't want to be tracked hiring people like me. So they
will get a person to do the contract since they are expendable.
I did not steal it in face. I only was hired to find out the
location and where it was shipped to. I was hired to also
steal some items from the owner's house. Which I did but
it was not associated with the painting. I think that was
just to distract me to the painting."

"So you have no idea why or who hired you?" Etain asks.

"You deaf Elf? I said no." The thief raises his voice
          just a bit.

Fremea asks then about the faerry slaves. This causes
Ozon to shift from foot to foot. Clearly he was not
expecting that. His face is clear but it can be determined
he is calculating things. After a few long moments the
          thief answers.

"You know of them? They...were...a lucrative market.
          It was only business."

From the looks of Ozon the man is clearly not a wizard
His mana signature is low. Course if he has magic items
it might be hidden by his clothing.

Fremea's rage boils as the thief seems to think of
Fae lives as business. Her fingers flex as she
          considers killing the thief.

But before she does yelling is hears outside. Seems
the patrons are finally fleeing the burning hall.

Ozon uses this opportunity to do several tings.
He tosses a smoke charge from his pouch to the floor
together with a special sparkle bag.

This causes both to explode on the ground. The smoke
billows out fast causing half the showroom to fill with
gray and white smoke. the sparkle bag explodes causing
the contents to sparkle like a flickering falling star.
This dazzling light show temporary blinds everyone.

Not wasting time though the thief turns to the back door
and rushes through the door closing the door.

Kiet and the girls are totally blinded at this point.
Fremea, Etain and Arawn are mostly blinded but they
are switching to other senses. Fremea and Arawn moves
toward the bar to give chase.

Flipping the bar latch Arawn moves behind the bar
using Ozon's scent. But Irza is in the way. "Don't
harm him. He is nice to me."

But Arawn will consider that later. He gets to the
door and runs through. Only to fall on his behind and
hit the floor with his head. Arawn curses and realizes
the thief left marbles and caltrops.

Fremea runs past with her light feet she leaps past
the marbles. Toward the back of the shop.

The back is a large open workshop about 50 feet by
100 feet. Fremea removes her illusion and dress and
flies toward the now open back door to the street. She
dodges boxes, crates, furniture, benches and tables.

Arawn runs behind Fremea and sees Fremea reach the
back door. Cautiously exiting she looks for the thief.

Arawn arrives at the door and sniffs the air. He
picks up the scent of the thief moving westward down
          the down street.

Just then though Corona swoops low and says that Z'leyra
is summoning him. This might be the building Fremea
is seeking. Arawn explains this to Fremea. Fremea curses
knowing what bad luck this is. But she can guess that
the thief is heading to the warehouse of slaves Bogan
mentioned. She has to decide now to give chase or find
the building and the critical second piece.

Fremea sees Corona moving northward and knows that his
instinct to find Z'leyra is overwhelming him. If the group
loses sight of Corona it could be a problem.

Etain and the others come around the maze of objects
to the back of the store.

Etain finds Fremea. "City guards are moving this way.
The fire is attracting their attention. The patrons are
all fleeing. We might not be good to stick around."

                                 ------------

At the Military Center Jordi waves a hand to half the
party. "Stop." He squints at the building. His keen
eyes are good but even at this distance it is full of
shadows. "I saw something on the second floor that window
in the front to the right and above the main entrance."

The other three squint but see only shadows at that window
and darkness. There are windows on the first and second
floor. All are wide windows that during day would flood
rooms of light. some may have curtains but at this distance
it is hard to tell. The ground floor perimeter windows
are dotted with bushes and trees giving slight cover to
the building but mostly wide views outside.

By now Z'leyra has summoned Corona. It may be some
time maybe as long as half a hour before the others
          can get here on foot.

"Yes. I believe it was a form. Either something moving
inside or people are that room." He looks to the others.
"The place should be closed. The room is dark."

Raban shakes his head, "could be too late? Maybe
the person who got the first piece is already inside?"

          Actions? Comments?

          Next Update....Monday...

GM: Update was delayed due to time, posts that came in very
last minute. So ran out of time. Maps removed for now.
If need a map of the shop let me know. Ran out of time
tonight but I can do a map this weekend of the military
center if requested. If not will try one next week.

GM: Arawn - EL1 only allows one person so the other girl
not included thus went with Kiet. BTW the truth spell
