Game Update #50 in sequence (file #204)
      ----------------------------------------------------------------

      Admin Notes: None.
      -----------------------------------------------------------------
      [Recap]

         From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
Z'leyra will tell the party "Watch this." and cast thru her
staff a Major Illusion EL0 (at a distance from herself so as
to not dispel it) quickly showing what she saw in the Akasha
           trance.

Did she find the coin that teleported the Admiral? Did her
healing skill determine the most likely cause of death?
         GM: Ack.

         From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
Arawn gave Raban an odd look when the bard took it upon...

"Leave him," Arawn answered upon hearing Etain's ....

OOC: Mana Sense on the admiral and room followed by Mana Reading
         GM: Ack.

         From Unali: [Re: Actions]
           Raban suggests to get going.

Unali: "That seems a sound plan. I the mean time I will ...

She will go after the servant and ask him where they would be
able to find the son. And get a description on how to recognize
           the son.

After that she will move towards the group again and leave the
           premises.
         GM: Ack.

         From Z'leyra: [Re: Actions]
Seeing that the general feeling of the party is to leave
quickly Z'leyra delays her casting the illusion of what she
saw in her trance till after the party has left and arrived
           someplace safe.
         GM: Ack.

      [New Stuff]

          [Sepes 28th, 1634TH]
          [Location: City of Salaqara, Donara]

          [Time: 4:19pm - South Salaqara - Gorlic's Estate]

Arawn gave Raban an odd look when the bard took it upon
himself to give an order to a druid. He wondered what the bard
was up to, perhaps a subtle hint towards an area of importance
he did not wish to bring to light before a gathering of
strangers. Although he had other plans, a purpose that should
keep him at the dead admiral's side, he opted to play the bard's
game for the time being, hoping that such a resource would not
          soon find itself short.

After his return and the dissemination of Corona's report he
stared at the corpse while the others hurriedly discussed
          options.

Arawn hears the others talking about fleeing. He does a
quick scan of the room by a loop around the room. Using
his special senses. As Arawn rounds the back of the desk
the druid does see a spot of magic to the left of the desk
or if facing from the door to the right. It is on top of
the bookcase. It is a small statue about 1.5 feet tall. But
Arawn recognizes it right away. Z'leyra and the others may
not but he does. The figure is humanoid with both feet
riding two dolphins carrying a trident. Mananan the Patron
of Sailors. It would make sense it would be here for the
head of the navy. The spot of the magic is the statue itself.
But Arawn can't pinpoint it. But it looks like the entire
statue has been given a blessing. Which makes sense to the
druid. Some priest must have blessed the statue so to give
hope to the admiral. But otherwise it seems typical and
          not unusual.

Arawn hears Etain asking about the servant. "Leave him,"
Arawn answered upon hearing Etain's concern. "Enough have seen
us to report our appearance and I doubt he knows much of interest."
A look of annoyed perturbance crossed his face as he continued
to look upon the dead admiral.

"A pity. I would question his spirit if I could but be left
alone with him..." Arawn kneels to do a quick prayer.

            Raban suggests to get going.

From the hallway Unali says, "That seems a sound plan. In the
mean time I will quickly ask where we can find the son and wife
to inform them of the Admiral's death. I'll meet you behind the
          shed."

With that Unali goes to find the servant in the kitchen.
As she creeps into the room she notices the servant has
pocketed a nice set of silver and gold salt shakers. Unali
shakes her head. His boss is not even cold and the man
is stealing. Unali clears her throat and enters as if
not seeing what happened. She asks about the son including
          known locations and descriptions.

Back at the office Z'leyra considers telling the others of
what she found in her trance but hearing the report from
her companion Corona there is little time. She does a
quick scan of the room for the coin but finds nothing. A
clever trick no sign of evidence.

Raban begins to file the group out the side door quickly.

Fremea is still fuming. This day has started out bad and
gotten worse. She has found herself some pawn in some
foul game. Someone is one step of the group and she will
kill that person slow or just let Kiet do it while she
watches. As she moves she tries to eye Etain. There
seems to be little surprise at times. If he was behind
it even he could not fool the party or even Arawn. Though
Arawn may be blinded by his dedication to the Alfar. There
are still many pieces not adding up.

At the backyard Raban finds the shrub behind the shed.
He finds a soft spot and bashes it several times. He then
uses his hands to spread it breaking limbs and bushes as
if a hill giant is walking among weeds. It takes him about
10 seconds to make a hole into the property north of them.
He peers out and finds another back yard.

Back in the kitchen Unali distracts the servant from the
window not to look closely at the back. "We will try to find
him and ask him to come and see you here as quickly as possible."

"I would appreciate that. He was a dear man his father. Oh
dear. if he inherits this place it will be lost to his gambling."

Outside Corona alerts Arawn that the riders have enters the
same street the estate is on. This causes the party to move
fast. The men on foot are about 2 blocks away but should be
unable to see the party if they use the street out front of
          this new property.

Kiet grumbles to himself. They could've rode away and
been much safer than this walking if only they got horses
          earlier.

The party moves past a nice one story estate that looks to
be for a merchant. Based on the clearly commercial style
decorations outside including a odd looking crystal statue
that does not fit outside. The guy must have his yard as
          a showroom.

As the party goes to the west side of the house a woman
exits dressed as a maid. "You there! What are you doing!?"

Etain waves the party on. "We were told wrong directions
for the place we are buying."

"This place is not up for sale!" The woman rubs her hands
          on a cloth.

Etain stares at the 40ish woman, "thus our apology. We'll
          be leaving immediately."

"Do so! Don't maka me fetch the neighbors and guard."
She turns and walks back inside. Etain hopes she does
not notice the sudden hole in her back shrub.

By now Unali hears horses outside neighing. She finds
that to be her cue. The servant goes toward the front
door and Unali silently rushes to the side of the house.
She looks and sees no one and dashes toward the shed.

The party gets to the front yard and exits the small
gate there. The yard here is not fully blocked from view
but only a small wooden fence is here. Guess the merchant
must like to be seen to show his status. The party turns
west and moves quickly down the road. Z'leyra asks Corona
to continue a aerial scouting of the area so they can
          avoid the authorities.

          [Time: 4:33pm - South Salaqara]

The party passes a warehouse that looks like it was hit
by a fire. It is smoke damaged with windows planked up.
Etain points to the warehouse. "Let's figure out our
next step. We need to hear what Z'leyra found out." He
          looks to Raban.

Moving toward the damaged door the giant easily breaks
the door and removes it from it's hinges. They enter the
dark room and Raban lets some light by removing a plank or
two from a window. Corona watches from the roof for anyone.

Z'leyra will tell the party "Watch this." Before she does
this she removes her necklace and hands it to Raban. Best
not to end the spell while it is cast. She walks about 15
feet away and casts the illusion spell. Soon she shows the
office again to the party and what happened. Three minutes
later it ends having replayed it a few times.

The healer walks to Raban to grab her necklace and dons it
again. She explains the admiral must have died from shock
or some condition like a stroke or heart attack. It could
even been a mental attack. Which would make his death
seem almost normal. Maybe fighting a would be assassin only
to die in the struggle by mistake.

Etain ponders the details for a long time.

Raban looks a bit confused but figure it out. Speaking
in Marentian. "Clever. So we never see the attacker."

Unali explains what she learned. Mostly that if he is not
at the navy yards he is probably at some gambling halls. The
servant names at least four places he has been found in the past.

The party looks to Etain for recognition. "I only recognize
one of the names of the joints. The others we'll have to ask
          around."

Raban sighs, "with the things today we could be sought after.
Maybe some of us should go and others stay or find a place for
the night? I am a bit...extraordinary so I say Is can stay
behind or find the inn if need be. But a person with a eagle
and wolf might be hard to miss on the street."

Fremea notices something in Etain's face as if he may know
something more but chooses not to say it. She considers
the point of her dagger as tool to persuasion. But the
Elf knows things about her past he has to live for now.

          [Time: 4:41pm - South Salaqara]

          Actions? Comments?

          Next Update....Friday...

GM: A short update but we moved on a bit. Before we go looking
for the son let me know what you guys want to do before,
during and after (once reach him that is not late night
stuff). Saturday was a very bad night for me so I wanted
to get the update out though it is small. If I did it
then folks would be dying to vent. :) So best to end it
here and not tempt the gods. Plus I figure small updates
might give Tobie time to read/reply. :)
