      [New Stuff]

          [Sepes 28th, 1634TH]
          [Location: North of Salaqara, Donara]

          [Time: 8:01am]

As the group eats the biscuits and drinks the fresh tea,
Arawn approaches Kell about the slip from the art dealer.
The half-elf gives him the slip and he reviews it once more.
Then walking to the parlor he gives the slip to Niv to
          inspect.

Niv examines the slip and nods. "I don't know this place.
I'm no art critic. But I'll ask around." He looks up into
Arawn's eyes and then back down at the slip to memorize some
          of the details.

Arawn offers to make a copy of the slip but Niv shakes his
head. "In my old work I had to be very observant. I
should recall the info. Speaking of observant." He looks
up and lowers his voice and hands the slip back to Arawn.

"You look like a man on a mission." He waves his hand
toward the party in the kitchen area. "I don't mean them.
You seem perplexed and confused but determined. A man
almost broken. I've seen what a broken man becomes. Just
          be careful."

          [Time: 8:52am]

As the group walks toward Salaqa City they notice Niv
on his horse divert eastward down a secondary dirt road.

At first it seems to be a bit elusive chance in direction
when the horse is obscured by light woods. But then the
horse reappears a mile south east of the party going eastward.
the road is busy with mostly foot traffic from single peasants
to entire family units. There are 2 wagons from likely farms
          as well.

Raban keeping the rear of the group startles Kiet and Kell
when he places his large hands on each shoulder. His large
bag dangling from his bag. The tall 8 foot giant towers
over both and is bigger than both combined.

"So you going to find horses for everyone and pay for them?"
The Bard smiles down at Kiet. Kiet glances up, tilting his
head the 2.5 feet taller than him and smiles. Best not to
disagree with a giant so placate them.

Raban shrugs and doesn't seem to care for an answer. he
turns toward Kell who is roughly a foot taller than Kiet.
"I wonder if he is going to talk to his Elf friend? I
mentioned at the window. From what I hear Elves are scarce
here. To have 2 here and where ever he may be going and
then news on that Jordi person, sounds like they aren't
as rare. But they are clearly better able to be in the
open than Fremea's kind." The Bard smiles and walks forward
giving a nice tap to the back of each man.

By now Niv is at least a mile away from the party and
          moving further away.

          [Time: 9:33am]

It takes a bit over 30 minutes to walk to the city. As the
group gathers they notice differences from Sivas to Salaqara.
Sivas is a open city with gates guarded but only for fights
or drunks. The bored guards will watch the crowd for trouble.
But for Salaqara the guards are checking people out more clearly.
In Sivas a gate might have 2 or 3 guards. The post here at the
north gate hosts a dozen guards. It is clear that the rumors
of this city are true. They wish to be independent from Donaran
rule. It is no secret but it is only quietly spoken out loud.

Of the 70-80 people near the north gate the party only notices
about 5 or so that are nervous. The others seem content and
business as usual. All but 1 man is dressed in peasant
browns, tans and blacks. The one man is dressed in bright
blues and appears to be a messenger based on his horse saddle
          bags.

The guards overtly observe each person that nears the gate.
They are well dressed in full chainmail, pikes and swords.
As soon as the party gets within a hundred feet of the gate
the people notice the odd party makeup. Most stare at the
obvious giant who towers over everyone. While this
clearly draws attention from others like Fremea it does
draw overall attention. No one seems to glance at Fremea,
Arawn or Kell. They only glance at the dress of the
clothing the party wears. Clearly not peasants but not
          natives.

Four guards gather around the party. "State your
          business here."

Before Arawn can speak Raban shoos a large fly away
from his face. "We are entertainers. Pleasure and some
          shows we've been hired for."

The lead guard looks Raban down and the others. The
weapons are clearly seen on hips like swords and such.
Raban shrugs, "sometimes we demonstrate fighting acrobatics."

The guard shrugs and waves the group inside. But one guard
is heard by Unali that should be searched as strangers. But
the lead guard just says there is too many folks waiting.
Unali notices that Raban spoke in Donaran rather than Salaqara
and the guard responded in kind. So at least they respect
          the governing language.

The city is already very active and the smells are almost
the same as Sivas. Smells of fresh bread, fish and sometimes
smells of industry like wood from saw mills or leather from
          leather shops are detected.

          [Time: 9:48am]

It doesn't take long to find the money lender shop that
Niv told Kiet about. The shop a two story place that
looks more like a shoe shop than for money has tall and
rounded windows. The doors and windows have bars that
would take thieves some time to cut through. A guard
is obviously seen on the roof watching the crowd. Clearly
the place is paranoid or wishing no trouble.

A guard also sits on a wooden bench on the front porch
pretending to widdle some wood scraps but his sword hangs
on his side. Entering the shop another guard looks at
the group but then stops them. "Only three at a time
          in the shop please."

Some will have to stay outside and it is obviously a way
to prevent robberies by limiting customers inside. Once
inside though Kiet notices two more guards who are pretending
to inventory something on shelves but are clearly watching
the group. The unease in this shop is clear either the
shop expects the Donaran's to raid any minute or is too
          paranoid for his own good.

Kiet ignores the unease and the guards and approaches the
clerk who is in his 40s for the transaction.

          [Time: 10:13am]

Some time later the stables are found. The stables take
up almost a quarter of the street and can house around 40
or 50 horses. There is a shop along side that seems to
          repair and house wagons.

A rather large plump man in his 50s approaches the party
and asks what they wish to do.

          Next Update....Monday..

GM: A delayed update. Was hoping to get some responses.
But we'll move on. Now in the city. Don't have to
wait per se on Fremea to decide things. Tobie is
a bit busy so if need to do other tasks you can do
so. But we'll see how it goes.

GM: Money lenders - What is done? Exchanges? Loans?
Deposits? You will need to let me know who does
                  what.

Stables - Who all will get horses? I will assume
it will be rentals. Probably won't need them
in the city just for leaving the city?

GM: Tasks for me - Reminder:
              * Niv to get info on Admiral, Ozon, Gambling halls
              * Anything else to do?
