         Fremea doesn't care what group she is in. She wants to figure out
         the best places to fly to make sure she can use her dead rain of
         arrows to destroy the fastest, yet with as much surprise on her
         side as she can muster. "Since these things can sense magic...
       GM: Ack. We've all been busy and distracted.  So I know the feeling.

       From Arawn: [Re: Actions]
         As groups are formed Arawn makes a few comments.

         "So what are the locations each group is heading towards?...
       GM: Ack.

         The groups and the plan look good to Will and he is available to
         teleport (if needed) his group to attack which ever target is

           Farseeker seems to take a more active role and assigns groups
         with the agreement of those around him.  Soon three groups are
         quickly formed making it a small group for each.

           Fremea doesn't care what group she is in. She wants to figure
         out the best places to fly to make sure she can use her dead rain
         of arrows to destroy the fastest, yet with as much surprise on her
         side as she can muster. "Since these things can sense magic with
         those strange creatures, I am not so sure adding extra to me will
         help right now. First thing though is to let me scout a bit more.
         I did not see anything flying around in here, so I should be
         fine." Taking a look out at the massive cave. "One thing I can do
         after that is to sneak fly over to key areas and use concealing
         fog to make it very hard from them to see anything and pick them
         off. It will seem like a fog for them has descended as I fly it
         down on them and pick at them. Only thing is that others will not
         be able to see in to help at this."

           "The mist is good as long as they don't have something to
         count it." Caladan nods and scans the pit below.

           "It will help to get the scouting done.  Those dog-things could
         detect you. If so we'll have to move fast.  Its a shame we can't
         pinpoint their range. Just don't have time.  Avoid them if you can.
         We need to ensure the Shapers do not have those Orbs so they
         can't warn the others.   That will be top priority.  After that
         positions of the humans and other stuff we should avoid."

           Fremea nods and begins to cast her invisibility spell.  Captain
         Lin stares as she unfurls her wings and murmurs to herself.  The
         Captain looks a bit pale as if he is not in the thick of things
         helping heretics.  But the enemy is too great to deal without

           Fremea figures she will have only two minutes to scan while her
         spell is active.  She estimates in that two minutes she could
         fly a bit over two miles.  Fremea casts her spell and walks to the
         edge of the cave entrance lip.

           "Good luck."  Farseeker urges the invisible Faerry.

           Faerry leaps outward and climbs high as much to the ceiling as
         she can.  She turns right and heads toward the Shaper in the
         east.  The Shaper (U34) is dressed in the long skin like leather
         clothing the females seem to wear.  She is staring north into
         the deep and enjoying the site below.  Fremea tries to look for
         lumps and areas but there is no obvious sign of a Orb among
         her body.  there appears to be a small bump where a Coufee might
         be inside her gown.

           The next target is the alcove above the ground to the east (T47).
         A small rope-leather ladder is seen below which allows one to
         climb into the alcove.  As Fremea hovers closer she peers inside
         about 30 feet away.  Inside the alcove its about 5 feet tall and
         20 feet deep.  There are two Vong warriors.  One is sitting
         against a wall stroking a coufee with some tool as if to sharpen
         in it.  There is another Vong warrior sitting on the ground with
         crossed legs staring out toward the pit area. In his lap there is
         a tube object of some kind.  Along beside him a leather skin bag
         of some kind is hiding something.  They both have amphistaves
         and coufees it seems nearby.  She can only guess these are some
         kind of archers since they are in perches.

           Fremea flies north toward the next Shaper (I42).  She spends
         a few long seconds to scan her body.  But she is just like the
         other Shaper and no Orb is seen.  She is berating some poor
         human male in his 20s.  Fremea can't understand the language
         but she can understand the gesture and emotion and it doesn't
         sound like the human is doing a good job with an award in mind.

           Fremea spots the cave entrance and the guards north of her current
         position.  She notices the dog-creature licking one of its many
         legs.  She decides to stay clear of the beast and flies north by
         north west toward the top of the cave by using the pit side itself.
         She watches the creature to see if it senses her.  But she stays
         within at least 40 or more feet with no detection it seems.  She
         heads past some of the other Vong warriors and heads westward.

           Fremea spends time to inspect the Shaper near a couple of what
         seems to be Outcasts.  She is speaking to them but it isn't
         known what exactly.  The Shaper (F20) also seems like the other
         two with no obvious Orb.

           By now she can figure half her spell duration is out as she
         tries to inspect the Vong.  So far she hasn't detected hidden
         alcoves or escape routes except the entrance to the north east
         so far.  But her time is running out so she moves westward.

           She flies past one Vong Warrior and inspects the recess area
         in the north west (Area B).  she is saddened to find a clump
         of humans either sitting, lying or worse some are in the Embrace
         of Pain devices.  there must be 2 or 3 dozen of them mostly mature
         adults.  Lucky the recess seems to be a dead area with only the
         one Vong detected so far.  But she can't go and inspect the
         area in great detail is time is short.  But she knows where 
         the bulk of humans are kept.

           While Fremea flies around the cave, Arawn listens to the groups
         and plans.

           As groups are formed Arawn makes a few comments. "So what are
         the locations each group is heading towards? Also, as the Shapers
         need to be dealt with, will we send in assassins again or teleport
         in? If the latter, I can take up to 4 with me, leaving someone
         behind unless an archer chooses to remain up here."

           Arawn also offers his own group the following, "Just before we
         strike I can bond us in a Battle Mind. If anyone wishes this let
         me know and I can cast just before striking."

           Fremea heads toward the next area (Area A) to find a clump of
         more humans in various positions.  The problem is the second
         dog creature seems to be guarding that area.  That prevents
         her from getting close and looking further.  Not wanting to
         be detected.  She has to peer from various angles beyond the
         pit edge looking in that area.  She seems to notice small
         room like caves near the humans that might contain more prisoners
         but it is not sure at this point.

           Fremea heads toward the next Shaper (N6).  but this one she
         notices immediately has a Orb in its closed-shut down mode
         on her left shoulder.  She notices there is no face on it so
         it is not active it seems. The Shaper is turned toward three
         humans and talking to them.

           Fearing her spell will end soon she flies south and looks
         inside the second perch alcove.  Peering fast she finds two
         Vong as in the exact position and style of weapons as in the
         first perch alcove on the east (R3).  

           Flying as fast as she can toward the party's cave she dives
         inside the cave and lands.  Two seconds later she becomes
         visible again.  

           Fremea has done well but she realizes she didn't have time
         to fly over the pit itself or figure out those flying things
         high above the pit at the top ceiling.  Just not enough time
         for a first recon she figures.

           Fremea relays her quick report to the others.

         [Time: 1:24 pm]

           "Very well, then we have three areas to go to.  The main
         entrance.  the prisoner areas and we have to get that Shaper
         with the Orb killed right away." Farseeker looks out and
         figures some options.

           "I think my group will go for the entrance and kill the dog
         beast and the warriors to ensure it remains blocked. Strie'bog
         can teleport us there."  Farseeker suggests to the party.

           Strie'bog nods and agrees to this.

           "Fremea can you take your group to take out that Shaper then
         move on from there?  I think Raban and you can deal with that
         orb right away."  Farseeker suggests to the Sidh.  "I'm not
         sure how many you can take but maybe Will can help to teleport
         one or two?"

           "Arawn I thought it might be good to be with us.  But I think
         you would prefer to be with the human prisoners to help them.
         So head there."  He points toward the second dog creature (H9)
         "Take it out then divide up to free as many prisonrs or at
         least ensure no Vong will kill them outright."

           Farseeker turns back to the group.  "then we can clean up
         and finish the others.  It seems there is no other way out
         at this point."  He looks to Unali for direction then the
         others. "Any suggestions or changes to this plan?"

         Actions? Comments?

         Next Update....Friday...

         GM: Minor mistake in the group info last update.  Glad it was
             ignored. Final groups from the corrected material is below.

         GM: Group 1 - Farseeker, Strie'bog, Unali, Ben'dar 
             Group 2 - Chion, Kell, Z'leyra, Lin, Caladan, Arawn
             Group 3 - Fremea, Kiet, Will, Zhou, Raban

         GM: Tried to email Chris (Ben'dar) to see if did well during the
             London riots but no reply which is odd for him.  Also tried
             to check on John (Raban) to see how his health has been
             but also no reply.  If anyone hears from them let me know. 

         GM: If there is changes or suggestions to Farseeker's plan let
             me know.  There has been plenty of time to work on these
             plans.  So figure it is almost to move on.  Once the
             combat starts it will be lots of work but should go fast
             once in the groove.  Oh!  Fremea you wanted the Mist.  I think
             he forgot that.  If Kiet or Raban could take the shaper
             out and the orb you could still do that?  If folks do not
             wish to do teleporting let me know (Arawn, Will, Fremea).
             If so which ELs do you offer so it can be done. If questions
             let me know.  We'll see if the combat starts thursday or
             not if there isn't time.

    Pit: 50-60 feet deep in most places.  Minor lichen allows some light
         from below.  There are maybe 100-150 bodies.  There are three
         times that in estimated body parts.

  Ceiling = 60-80 feet above pit top.  

    + = Torch B38, D18, G45, K5, K45, R46, W18, W39
        Torches are about 15 wide light areas so about 3 rows or 6 columns

  V = Vong Warrior clearly with weapons, armor
  O = Vong outcast? No armor so must be them.
  S = Shaper females, gown so no full length armor

  Each V,S,O, H is a single Vong or Human on the map
