Theyforgot to mention the Draft horses.  Forgot one or two had those.  Draft would be ideal for the wagon but any horse can be used for our purpose.  

Donkey MR 18
Draft MR 20
W2 MR 23 

So we go from 18 to 23 down to 20 with the draft horse if the donkey is gotten rid of.  Slowest animal determines speed.

So either way talking 20 days or so.
Some of the trip needs to be done by road only to "show" the noble status.  Roads increase travel so instead of 20 a road hex would be 30 miles a day.  So that extra boost does help.  Likley go south to the city south then due west from a point around there.  

As to Katai ok.  Since Kell asked we'll stop by Katai city and the Imperial Palace.  

Oh.  The dwarves say you don't want to go that route?  Fine.  Spoil sports....
