        From Chion: [Re: Actions]
          Chion will tell the elf, "It will be ok, we've dealt with
          large creatures before." He will wait until he sees it to
          cast his astral web spell from the staff.

          Chion will also yell LOUDLY "WE'VE GOT COMPANY AGAIN!
          EVERYBODY WAKE UP!" muttering "ya skurvy dogs" under his
          breath (joking on that part).
        GM: Ack.

        From Ben'dar: [Re: Actions]
          Assuming Ben'Dar wakes up from all the commotion, before
          the big thing arrives, he'll grab his pike and leap onto
          Tef'wo.  He'll ride into the middle of camp near the fire
          to draw the initial attack, if there is one.  He'll tell
          the others in a low voice, "Get to the shadows.  Quick!"
        GM: Ack.

          Previously:
            ..hundreds of spells?  Nah, she may have cast hundreds of
            mana, but that was in casting mere dozens of spells...Okay,
            maybe scores of spells.

          To Farseeker..."Did you notice that to cure your poisoning I
          had to pour water into a brass goblet then swirl an enhanced
          bezoar in the water and finally have you drink that water
          before your poisoning was cured? Not an easy thing to do for
          everyone every moment while we are fighting a wyrm."...

          re  Treasure
          Z'leyra suggests that the faster horses get the barding, this
          no one would slow the party down. If no one else takes it she
          will take the chain barding, but would have someone with a
          warhorse take it if they wanted it and would settle for leather
          barding. Protecting the horses is a good idea.

          She would also take the worthless gems for use in adding to
          other jewelry she might make in the future. How the paintings
          got into the cave and survived she doesn't know...anyone who
          wants to teleport them out may do so, but she thinks it is too
          bulky for us to carry with us.

          As she was already interested in learning the flute (having a
          wooden flute already) she will take the coral flute if no one
          objects. Her own leather working tool set being back at the
          manor and tired of 'making do' with other objects she will
          also pick up the leather working tools and share them with
          whoever else wants to work leather.

          Z'leyra will cast Orient Self and cast Perception (EL0)
          through her staff on each of the magic items, announcing to
          the party what is special about each of the items. She may
          want the glass plate and perhaps one of the potions.

          Claw:
          When she has done that she will once again attempt to find
          out something about the Claw. Casting Orient Self, then
          holding her     staff she will bring out the Claw and cast
          Soul Sight (max EL)     and gaze at the Claw. Following the
          gaze she will hold the Claw     in her left hand and cast
          shamanic Detection (max EL) through her staff. Afterwards
          she puts the Claw away again.

          Current events:
          Z'leyra slips on her armor, puts on her helm, casts Orient
          Self EL0 and grabs her staff.

          As Z'leyra grabs her staff she also casts Dark Sight (EL3)
          on herself.

          [BTW Scott - it looks like its been awhile since the casting
          speeds on the character sheet have been updated.]
        GM: Ack.  You say perhaps take glass plate.  If you want them
          you need to claim them.  As to detection on claw.  What
          are you detecting?  I mean yes its a bear claw. :)
          As to Speeds like I've said before since spell ELs change
          and stats change often (especially for you with all the
          magic you cast) it would be futile.  I figure Speed out
          at run time (time of magic).  Otherwise I'd be updating
          speeds too much :)  On the soul sight thing.  As I read
          it you have to see the eyes of the PERSON not item.  Since
          its cast on a person (and the items B-F or whatever seem
          to show its a person) then can't cast on claw (a non
          person).  Benefit A the orientation MIGHT be given for
          a item but the rest of the spell indicates its used on
          people not items. Sorry.

         GM: First some Administration stuff -

           * Timeline file updated on website
             (I removed skill point section since no need)

           * Maps Updated - New Map added
             (Included a zoomed in view of the forest for more detail)
             (Remember purple spot is current location)

           * Food - After 33 days of travel I've removed 33 days of
             food from each character.  Some things of note:

             1. Unali - You ran out of food about 2 weeks ago.
                Farseeker and others can lend you food.

             2. Strie'bog - You just ran out of rations when you
                entered the forest.  But home now so not a big
                issue.

             3. Everyone else is fine with plenty of food.
                Even some for Unali/Strie'bog if needed.

         Z'leyra to Farseeker: "Did you notice that to cure your

         Farseeker: "So you need a bigger goblet then?" [He grins]

         [When treasure is slowly air lifted out by Thig and raised
          to the surface by Farseeker items are quickly looked
          at.  The paintings are not in frames and appear to be
          rolled up as if to save their condition.  They are very
          dusts and some have scratches from claws.  They might
          not sell for full value but might get something if
          they are repaired by a good artist.]

         GM: Aside from Z'leyra didn't get requests for Treasure.
           So this is how I figure it.  Unless folks choose to
           claim items on their own.

           Coins - All get equal shares:
           GM: Unali those Katai coins interest you?

           Gems: 3 Gems/3 Jewels - Worthless claimed by Z'leyra
            Other Gems, Jewels and Jewelry of value if not claimed
            will go into a party share once back in civilized land
            to sell.

           Chair: Assume no one claims this so left behind?

           Paintings: Slightly damaged.  Anyone claim them?  If
             no one does then looks like they will be left behind
             They are rather bulky and would need to be specially
             stored away from the weather and other things.  Since
             folding them up like maps would further damage them.

           Other: These items if not claimed will be left (too cheap?)
              1 Small Glass, value 1 CC, not broken
              3 Eating Utensils, worth about 7 BB
              1 Drinking Horn, value about 1 BB, Fierazi design?
              1 small pitcher container (no top), 7 BB estimated value
              1 Elf Manufacture Flag, worth maybe 10 CC?
              2 War Mails (Dog)

            GM: Strie'bog The wolf might wear one of those Dog
              War mails?  Want it or leave in cave?

           GM: Z'leyra claims the tools though as stated many
             of the items are missing from the kit.  She also
             claims the Flute unless someone has a conflict?

           Armor:
             2 Leather Barding (Horse)   - Weighs 15
             1 Chain Barding (Horse)     - Weighs 50

           GM: Z'leyra which do you take?  Strider was taken back
             to the manor so chain wouldn't do good on current
             horse.  Keep in mind if you claim I'll have to take
             the new encumbrance into effect.  Just let me know.

           GM: As stated above some items will be left in the cave
             like the chair or bardings unless someone takes them.
             Please let me know soon.

         [Z'leyra examines the unusual coral flute.  It is not
          unnatural to have a musical instrument made out of wood
          or animal by-products it is rare for one made of coral.
          Since some coins were recognized as having a Lemasan
          design maybe this came from there being a island nation?
          Who knows.  The quality and work put into it is fascinating
          to look at.  Being coral the use of the flute can be
          risky in itself as it could scratch hands and fingers by
          sheer use of it.  It is more a discussion piece it seems
          than a true musical instrument.]

         [Eventually Z'leyra casts her Perception on the magical
          items found at the cave.  One potion took 2 tries as
          first attempt failed.  The glass plate took 3 tries
          as the first two failed as well.  Being low on scrolls
          Thig makes notes in the dirt if needed as she relays
          the information.]

         - Glass Plate - Made by experienced wizard, seems to
           give protection vs Kotothi.  This is a transparent
           glass eating plate.

         - Light Crossbow - Enchanted by magician improved for
           hit chance.

         - Potion - created by magician, seems to cure energy point
           loss.  Unfournately it seems it was only created for the
           owner and won't work for anyone but him.  So useless to
           others.

         - Potion - made by Magician, gives immunity of hours to Iron.
           This includes iron damage and weapons.

         - Potion - created by high magician, grants protection versus
           Chaos magic.

         - Wand - enchanted by average magician, seems to have no powers. 

         GM: Any claims to these?  If not they can be left in cave.
