     [New Stuff]

         [Decalis 13th, 104th day since left Marentia, 39th day of
          Adventure #3 of the 1633rd year [TH].]
          [Location: Pavassa Forest - Strie'bog's cabin/home]
          [Time: 5:32pm]

          [As the party continues northward to the cabin the woods
           and forest area thickens from the dead area region.
           Trees in this part of the forest average over 100 feet
           tall and seem to be ancient as at least one spotted was
           about 12 feet around.  Big enough to move a wagon through.
           Course that type of tree is rare maybe 1 out of every
           10 miles or so of forest.  As the party gets closer to the
           cabin both wolf and master seem to perk up even more and
           more.  At times the wolf seems to run ahead of the horses
           through the underbrush eager to get home.  Strie'bog's
           eyes also seem to gleam silver and green as his skin seems
           to gleam green as well.  But with all the green around
           the party its hard to tell if that's normal or just illusion
           from the environment.]

          [For the last few days Strie'bog has been describing his cabin
           home giving details on just about every piece of furniture
           in the home and around it.  So by the time the party gets
           tot he cabin its as if they already know the layout.
           The enthusiasm of Strie'bog also seems to move through the
           party as their mood changes.]

          [As the party approaches they notice the area ahead is a tall
           hedge tightly packed of bushes that can't be seen through.
           The hedge is about 5 feet tall.  Not tall enough to keep
           the sight of average men out but Strie'bog explains when
           the home was made it was made for seclusion.  In fact the
           cabin is many miles away from the nearest Vassa home.  This
           is cause his mom and dad were wanted constantly for help
           from the Vassa.  This gave them a secluded area to actually
           live in.  Only a few druids and other folks knew the location
           to keep their privacy.  Strie'bog explains his mom almost
           became as popular as nobility in some cities.]

          [Closer the party finds an opening in the south that is about
           55 feet wide where the hedge is not there.  The party
           enters and finds the cabin and other buildings.  The
           first thing the party notices is the cabin is surrounded
           by the hedge in all corners.  The only opening seems to
           be the way the party comes in.  The homestead is about
           170x140 feet with the cabin in the cabin in the center.

           To the right where the party enters is the table and
           benches uses for guests to eat.  The fire pit which
           is now just white ash and the gazebo where Strie'bog
           and his mom liked to swing for hours.  Immediately
           in front is the well and horse water trough.  To the
           left is the wood box and horse stand to tie up the
           horses for short term waiting.  In the north west is
           the barn a small structure brown and green in color.
           The cabin itself takes up the bulk of the space in
           the area.  The party is amazed to see how the structures
           including the cabin seem to be all naturally mixed with
           the terrain and camouflaged.  It is clear to the party
           the homestead was done with nature in control to give
           deference to it rather than build haphazard on it like most
           people might.  If one were to fly over like a bird one
           might even miss the entire place as a natural grove of
           trees the way the roofs are done.  With pride Strie'bog
           leads the horses inside and dismounts.]

          [In front there are 3 windows seen.  None on the left side
           but 2 by the front door and one on the right.  The
           party already knows much of the layout of the house based
           on Strie'bog's stories.  The window shutters which are
           closed and camouflaged are green and brown.  The cabin
           itself is little over 6' 10'  in height.   Around the
           house it is green and browns of massive logs about 4 from
           ground to top.  The classic log cabin style home.]

          [The hedge around the home is very hard to penetrate which
           may protect from animals and outsides.  It would take some
           effort for a person to walk through or cut their way
           through.  trees are all mixed among the hedge as well with
           colonies of birds and owls that sing loudly in the day
           but this time of day are not as active.]

          Strie'bog: "As you are friends, you are welcome to enter."

          [When arriving at Strie'bog's house Unali will ask him]

          Unali: "Who has been living here since you left and kept
            the house in good order? Are there brothers or sisters?"

          [Corona flies and lands on the horse trough and drinks from it.]

          [Strie'bog dismounts and ties his horse up against the
           horse railing.  Arawn does the same looking around
           for danger but sees nothing but the party.

          [Ben'dar dismounts and ties his horse up.  he grabs his
           Pike from his horse strap and walks to the well.  Chion
           dismounts off the horse and ponders his own past and
           a home that could've been like this.]

          Farseeker: "I will come in a bit would like to freshen
            up after the trip."

          Thig: "Same here I would like to shift some gear first."

          Trembyl: "This place is amazing Strie'bog.  The mix of
             of simple natural elements is very nice.  I would
             like to look around before I meet your mother if
             that is ok."

          [Arawn, Z'leyra, Strie'bog, Wolf and Xian will enter the
           home at this time.]

          [The quartet and wolf walk up to the front cabin door.]

          Xian: "Think she is home today?"

          [Strie'bog shrugs and opens the door on reflex.  Course
           it has been some time since he has been here the door is
           never locked.  Course most homes in the forest aren't
           locked either.  From the Vassa village this home is
           quite palatial in size.  Most Vassa homes are at most
           2 rooms (bedroom and main room).  Some with large families
           may have 3 rooms.  Some richer warriors or clans or
           top druid or shaman may have a 4 room hut.  But that's
           about the limit.  This cabin looks to be 3 times the
           size of most huts.  Making Strie'bog's mother of
           some importance it seems.]

          [The wolf slips past Strie'bog first and enters the Foyer
           area.  There on reflex he shakes his fur to clean himself
           of dust and other things.  Then he walks to the center
           and looks into the main room.  Strie'bog opens the
           door and allows Arawn, Z'leyra and Xian to enter.  Xian
           is only carrying his war staff, not as a weapon but he
           mainly uses it as a walking aid and to lean on it.  Arawn
           knows such customs so left his buckler and gear on his
           horse.  But he walks in with a sheathed sword, bow and
           quiver.  Its commonplace for visitors to homes in this
           region to have bows and quivers so its normal.  Strie'bog
           leaves his gear on his horse and takes his axe inside
           on pure reflex as he did so when he was younger.  He
           keeps his bow and quiver on back.  Z'leyra is the only
           one to look out of place.  She carries her staff and drum.
           On her back is her healer's satchel which looks like a
           bag of gear.  Xian whispers to her.]

          Xian: "Leave the bag at the horse.  Looks like you are
            saying your here to sleep without even meeting his
            mom right off!  Also your helm?"

          [Z'leyra pretends not to hear him and continues forward.]

          [Xian shrugs and closes the wooden door.  Inside the
           foyer area the group sees the floor covered in what looks
           like grass but is some form of grass carpet.  In the
           center of the room just below a skylight of glass about
           3'x3' is a circle of symbols and pictograms in brown,
           black and green paint.  Strie'bog shows the group the
           circle known as the Wheel of Life.  This represents
           his mother's love for Cernunos.  The circle is made up
           of 3 120 degree sections.  The first section arc is
           near the direction of the door.  This shows new born
           life in the form of babies and small animals.  It also
           shows eggs and small plant growth in rough forms.  This
           represents the birth of life.  The right arc pointing
           at the opposite side of the wall in the east shows funeral
           pyres of people and dead trees among other pictograms.
           This represents death.  In the north arc which points into
           the main room represents life it self showing all life in
           various forms like birds flying, people doing things like
           living in the forest and other animals doing their thing.
           The religious symbol is clear.  In the room in the north
           end is a open area which leads into the main room of the
           cabin.  The party enter the main room.]

          [Meanwhile outside Unali watches the group enter the house.
           She keeps her daggers sheathed but heads to the eastern
           side of the house and rounds the corner to explore the
           rear of the house.  She keeps her hand on the magical
           dagger.  Her instincts read something strange about this
           scene.]

          [Ben'dar checks out the well.  He rights the bucket.  Course
           a spilled bucket is common with wells.  Birds like crows
           will play with them or raccoons will try to sleep in them.
           He checks the ground and find it dry.  This indicates the
           bucket fell a while ago.  he looks down into the well and
           sees the dark water below but that's about it without
           a torch.]

          [Inside the group enters the main room.  Strie'bog gives
           a yell out to his mother in Vassa.  But there is no
           reply.  Xian looks to the courtyard to the north and
           finds it north through the window.  The doors in this
           room are all closed.  The center table shows a single
           candle on top of a clean thin table cloth.  The fireplace
           is cold and shows white ash.  The party is surprised to
           see low tables and shelves.  Even the door handles
           are lower than usual.  Could it be his mother is a short
           person?  Seems like the place is built for a 4-5 foot
           tall person.  Arawn has room but doorframes are low so
           he has to duck through them.  The place is quiet.  The
           wolf heads to the left and sniffs the door to pick up
           the scent of Strie'bog's mother.]

          [Meanwhile outside Unali finds the strange tree to the
           east of the house and then a structure she guesses to
           be a outhouse from the low odor.  The structure is
           well camouflaged it almost looks like a fat tree.  She
           heads west and start to round the house to the rear.]

          [As Strie'bog and the others wait on the south side of the
           table Strie'bog seems to wait for a response to his yell.
           Suddenly the table cloth begins to shake slightly and
           then lift.  In one quick instant the candle goes flying
           along with the table cloth straight for the group.  The
           group is surprised by this.  Objects under the cloth are
           plates, utensils and a bowl of fruit.  Suddenly many
           of those items lift and with a speed of 10 feet per
           second fly to the group in various random directions.

           In one instant the cloth flies toward Strieb'go and
           covers him as he struggles to see.  The candle that
           was on the table flies and hits him fast.    Four
           of the plates (all of them) fly straight for Xian
           and break on him.

           Three forks go flying toward Arawn and stab him.
           Two forks go flying toward Strie'bog and 1 fork
           goes flying toward Z'leyra.  One spoon goes flying
           toward Arawn while 4 spoons go flying toward Z'leyra.
           One spoon goes flying toward Xian.   The forks do no
           damage as well as spoons.  Now the dangerous sharp
           knives lift at the same instant and fly in various
           directions.  Two knives stab at Xian, 1 at Z'leyra
           and 4 at Arawn.  A mug on the table shakes but doesn't
           lift off.  All these objects lift off and fly within
           one second and impact with such speed they are like
           a dagger being shoved at someone.  The wolf who is
           on the left spins on his heels at this sudden weirdness.
           He then sees something the party doesn't.  The wolf
           growls and runs to the north of the table.  Suddenly
           to the right sound of something is heard.]

          [The candle and its base stand (metal) hits Strie'bog
           in the lower chest.  This causes 1 point of bruise damage
           through his armor.]

          [The four sharp knives hit Arawn in the left shoulder,
           lower right chest, right leg and left shoulder again.
           All three above the belt are deflected by the elven armor.
           But the one on the right leg hits and penetrates doing
           2 point of damage.]

          [The knife that hits Z'leyra impacts just past her staff
           into her right arm and does 3 points of damage as
           it shreds her upper arm.]

           [For Xian one knife penetrates his leather armor into
            his lower left chest doing 1 point.  The other hits
            Xian in his right leg as well doing 4 points more as
            it penetrates leg tissue. Xian collapses to his knees
            and then onto the ground from the pain.]

           [Boyzdar gets to the door on the right and scratches it.
            Arawn sees the objects stop moving and heads toward
            the door.  As Strie'bog gets the table cloth off him
            he sees a person in the north window moving from one
            door to the courtyard and turning north.]

           [As the man dressed in brown flowing tunic and leathers
            runs northward he rounds the corner to the right and
            runs smack into Unali.  Unali shocked by this pulls
            the magical dagger out but doesn't lift it.  It would
            be no good to kill a possible house guest?  But the
            magic of the dagger warns her a half second of
            danger.  From the right side her corner vision sees
            a large rock lift up off the ground and fly toward
            her.  With the dagger's warning she ducks just as the
            rock smacks and shatters against the north side of the
            cabin.  The man turns to the left (west) and runs).]

          Below is a edited version of the map.  For a full map
          including full lay out and descriptions of each room
          see teh Game Website.  The bottom of the page.  Plus
          in case email messes up the columns its best to view
          the maps there.  This map shows position of everyone.

          Note: I don't have current Mana status.  Just case
          spells if you wish at this point.  In part 1 I gave
          the days for skills.  If you want to do spells those
          days please tell me.  The deadline for skills and spells
          will be monday.  I can then run them and figure out
          mana status at that point.

          Monday is a rough night for update with 24 and Heroes :)
          Yeah I'm a fan of both.  But I will try to get it out.
          If not it'll be tuesday.  If I'm off Tuesday from work
          I'll be up late monday and hope to finish it.  Since
          I'll do TWO phases of combat for the next update only
          it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do.  So should
          be done Monday night.  The full map on the website includes
          better descriptions of each room.  Assume this to be
          known information based on Strie'bog's stories.
