     [New Stuff]

        Octaqi 21, in the 163rd Year [TH]
        [Meanwhile somewhere on the plains]
         [Day 51 of Trip] [Near Enemy camp]
         Time: Roughly 2:05am

     Turn 1 - Phase 3

        [Mana Allocation]

           GM: Was going to allocate another Sonata spell for
             Strie'bog but don't have permission for a repeat
             again.  So am stumped here.  

        [Missile Fire]

           [Thig in less of a panic aims at Eagle #3 and hits doing
            with his magical darts 8 points of damage.  The eagle
            spirals down to the ground.  The fall this time is
            only 64 feet.  Unfournately while its not dead the
            impact on the ground is death from 8 more points.
            The Eagle lands at 25,74 which is east of the SE corner
            of the corral.]

           [The Bowmen around the campfire no longer have good
            targets so hold their fire.]

           [Bowmen #26 stands and waits for a clear target.]

           [Bowmen #29 has no clear target as well.]

        [Magic Effect]

           [Caladan lowers his staff and points it at #15 which
            was behind Balrog.  A bright lightning bolt shoots
            out and hits the gurd doing massive damage the guard
            falls back with sparks covering his body dead.]

           [The man wearing chainmail and full helmet standing among
            the still sleeping villagers waves his hands.  A few
            words are heard by Chion but not understand.  Suddenly
            Chion and Corr 9from corner of eye) sees the man's chain
            mail glow a light blue.]

           [The man at 21,22 taps lightly on something at his side
            and points straight at Caladan.  The only target he
            can see clearly.  A dark void seems to surround Caladan
            and Caladan's muscles tighten up and lock.  Caladan
            falls to the ground.]

           [In the darkness near Jordi a drum beat is heard and
            a quick chant is heard.  Suddenly Zen'da #30 screams
            and falls to the ground dead.]
          
        [Melee & Movement]

           [Corona dives at the last eagle and hits with two claws
            but deos only a light de-feathering worth of 3 points.]

           [The Eagle decides to attack Thig again but his attack
            fails.]

           [Horses now move.  The horse near #10's body sees Z'leyra
            fall a sentry with no one there.  The horse worried and
            leaps away westward off the map.  All other free horses
            stay in place.]

           [The horse that was under #5 flees Northward about 10 feet.
            All other enemy riders stay in their current position.]

           [Dog near Kasha tries to bite him but the armor protects
            against the teeth.  The other dog near Kasha leaps but
            Kasha brings up his shield just in time and the dog
            deflects off the shield.   The other Dog III's remain
            in place.]

           [The two Dog I's by the Big Warrior remains in place
            looking at the Warrior for orders.  The other Dog I
            stays in place looking for attacks against the campfire.]

          [Farseeker turns and thrusts at #17 but his sword fails
           to hit its mark.]

          [Unali steps over the body of the sentry and heads to
           the Tipi there.  She quietly enters it and finds
            a female laying down.  She hears the flap open and
            sits up the blanket falling down revealing no clothing
            but she grabs it.  The young female must be in her
            early 20s.  This is the tipi the Big Warriro just
            left.  The Tipi is now dark so the female can't see
            Unali but the torch outside lits in just enough light
            for Unali to see the female.  No one else is in the
            Tipi.  She considers her next move.  The two people
            nearby (the short man on horse) if she attacks them
            the other might notice.]
           GM: Actions for next phase.  New target?

           [Ben'dar exits the Tipi.  The only person in it was
            taken out.  He exits and sees the guards laying
            down on the ground.  He looks too quick and misses
            that Praelux is there as well.  He heads south past
            the Tent and passes Caladan laying down.  He goes
            to help Farseeker.   He swings his pike and hits
            Zen'da #21.  The blow finishes him off.  The Zen'da
            falls to the ground.]
           GM: You are near Caladan (down) and Farseeker. New
             Actions?

           [The Big Warrior notices the skill of Farseeker and
            Ben'dar.  He notices Kasha, Lodd and Balrog.  He
            now knows who is worthy to attack.]

           [Balrog grabs one of his belted Fighting daggers and
            tries to stab #7 under him but the Zen'da is able
            to block it with his arm and pushes back.]

           [Zen'da #7 tries to take advantage over Balrog with
            his arms and shoulder but Balrog is too strong
            and he fails to gain control.]

           [Caladan surprised by some attack tries to move and
            stand but finds his body is not reacting...he
            tries to speak but even his jaw muscles don't seem
            to work.]

           [Z'leyra moves the 2 feet to the east and kneels down
            to check Praelux.  She finds a pulse so Praelux is
            alive but knocked out.  She will prepare a spell for
            next phase.]

           [Rin shifts over a couple feet and attacks the Rider
            #5 on his horse.  Rin thrusts upward at the rider
            and hits for 5 points of damage.]

           [Jordi turns and thrusts his sword at Rider #9 but
            misses his attack.]

           [Chion turns around and heads west around the
            people of the villagers.  he notices all of them
            are deep in sleep still even after all the
            noise of the battle.]
           GM: New Actions?

           [Kasha turns and attacks #13 again.  The mace hits
            and does 9 points of damage.  The Zen'da falls back
            against the tent and falls in dead.]

           [The Dog II stays its ground.]

           [Warrior #24 sees Ben'dar go south but the sentries
            in the East are all down.  He doesn't see the
            invisible Z'leyra.  He head east then south in
            between the tents.  He sees Kasha and attacks but
            fails to hit him.]

           [Rider #26 tries to slice down at Jordi but the
            elven shield blocks the blow.]

           [Lodd helps Kasha by attacking the dog near it.  He
            hits and kills the dog with another wounding blow
            to it.]

           [Rider #5 tries to bash Rin but fails to hit him.]

           [Corr swings on #27 but fails to hit him.]

           [The Zen'da just left the tent charges on foot toward
            Lodd and swings his weapon but fails to hit.]

           [Warrior #27 thrusts at Farseeker but he is able to
            dodge it just by a half inch and the blade impacts
            into the Tipi.]

        Next update Monday....

        Actions? Comments?

        GM: To help remove Map clutter.  I will change those
          map entries marked as down (ie dead or knocked out)
          as = on the map.  That way you can only see the
          folks still up. If you want I could remove them entirely
          off the map if that helps.  Let me know.  Caladan and
          Praelux are down for now.  But not marked as down in terms
          of a = sign.

            start the next 2 phases then as it is taking a bit
            longer than usual due to logistics.  But I will
            still take actions up till 9pm Monday. :)
