          Might as well put on shield, use staff for offensive spells,
          use dagger for killing paralyzed hippogriffs.

    [New Stuff]

     Sepes 42, in the 163rd Year [TH]
       Location: River Sch (E) Riverbank, Zen'da Plains, 270 Miles
         North of Asichi City, Heading East from River, around 1pm

     [Turn 7: Phase 2 to Turn 12: Phase 2]

     GM: A full 5 phases pass.  A minute of time.  In that time
     Caladan continues to fire his unique bow.20 times.  Three
     of those shots hit while 17 miss.  One time he was in so
     much concentration the arrow sliced his finger springing
     from the bow.  A stream of red is seen on his hand after
     he quits.  He wounds #4 for 4 points and re-wounds #8 for
     3 more points.  The third shot did well wounding #6 for
     7 points of damage.  At last Caladan stops, he lowers his
     bleeding hand and wipes it on his tunic.  With his other
     hand he wipes a stream of sweat from his forehead.  His face
     looks flushed and tired.

     In this minute the Hippogriffs get 1,800 feet closer and
     now at 1,150 feet to go.  

     [Turn 12: Phase 3 to Turn 15: Phase 2]

     Hippogriffs make it another 630 feet.  By now instead of one
     group they begin to be distinct forms.  They taper off and
     some head to the right and some to the left.  Some begin to
     take high into the sky while others continue straight ahead.

     Distance: 520 feet.

     By now archers raise weapons for estimates when to fire as they
     finally get within reach.

     [That was the fast way of doing things to save space.  During
      this time other folks do things...]

     [Thig, Xian, Trembyl recast their spells for the last time.]

     [Turn 10: Phase 1]

       GM: Based on emailed actions from Jordi the spells he casts
         start at this point as I figure it.
       [Jordi casts the first o a series of spells.]
       [Each phase - Purification, Luck, Speed, and finally
        Concealing Mist.]
      GM: Based on your emailed actions you said to move on toward
        the creatures on horse.  But you'd have made it by the
        time they got in melee range over 1000 feet going forward
        and way beyond the party :).  So I'll just move you to the
        east on the map since guess you didn't realize the amount
        of time I posted (32 phases) in the previous post.
      [Jordi's cocnealing mist is 15 feet around him and the horse
       which completely surrounds them.  Its also about 15 feet
       into the air]

         [Hippogriffs now around 430 feet.]

         [Caladan fires his composite bow again...he aims and fires
          at #9 which is already hit 3 times.  He hits doing 4
          points of damage.  The hippogriff spins in the air and
          lands in a skid on the ground.   It doesn't get back up.]

         [Trembyl and Xian fire their arbalests at extreme range.
          Trembyl misses but Xian hits doing 6 points to #3.]

     [Turn 15: Phase 4]

          [Caladan fires again but misses.]

        [Movement - Hippogriffs now at 340 feet]

   Comments:
     1. Sorry for delay.  During storm monday lost power a few times
        so couldn't finish.
     2. While this update seems small you'd be surprised the amount
        of math and book keeping.  HUGE amount of time.
     3. Hippos are now on the map.
     4. No one but Jordi has posted a movement plan so positions
        of characters remain same above.
     5. Path of creatures will go left (south), right (north),
        straight at party (west), or take a high flying and then
        downward dive.
     6. I guess I should've made this more simple and had them
        appear right away :)  But this distance thing has done
        a few problems.
     7. I wait here as they will move 9 hexes per phase.  So keep
        this in mind.  They will be within melee attacking range
        likely in the next 2 phases.  If you wish to change
        any actions at this point let me know.  
     8. Chion for your plan you need to tell me when you enact
        and any other specific details.
        Which phase?  Hex?
        

      I will do 2 phases for each update from now on.  I could
      go 1 phase if its needed.  I'm sure once they get close
      enough it should go faster as many are already wounded.
      Half are wounded.

      Man for some reason this one was a tougher one trying
      to coordinate all the actions and ranges, etc. :)
