[pnpgm] To kill or not to kill...that is the question.

Ben'dar crouches down over the fallen guard at his feet, and searches him for any good loot. He is surprised at how easily the guard went down, and smiles inwardly, letting it feed his natural prejudices regarding "civilized folk" (being weaker than tough barbarians, etc).

When he notices the guard is still breathing, he draws a dagger and grabs the unconscious guard's hair, pulling his head back to expose the throat. Holding his dagger to the guard's throat, Ben'dar glances up at the others for an indication of "yea or nay" and asks in Zen'dali, "I'll finish this one off, yes?" (Ben'dar isn't sure if someone wants to interrogate the guard or not, but he has no immediate thought other than brutal vengeance on all of these Climans.) If no one objects, he finishes the guard off.

Ben'dar picks up the heavy pike of the dead pikeman and, if it is in good condition and a better weapon (for Ben'dar) than the smaller Elf spear he currently has, he will take the pike. Ben'dar wipes Jordi's spear clean. After Jordi finishes talking to the ladies, Ben'dar hands Jordi back his spear with a smile and a nod and says, "Thank you for lending me the use of this spear, friend Jordi. It is an excellent weapon!" He adds, kicking at the guard's bodies and laughing, "Though this Climan guard would probably say otherwise!"

Ben'dar will continue to stay at the front, spear/pike at the ready and alert for any trouble. Having said that, he isn't going to barge ahead into traps or ambushes. He realizes that there are other party members who have keener eyes than he and who can sense magic and other threats that Ben'dar would not be aware of until it's too late. Ben'dar is also unsure exactly where they are going or what threats they may be facing.

If possible, he tries to speak more with Caladan to gain a better understanding of where he is, what is happening, where they are trying to get to, etc. He also tries, during any slow moments, to introduce himself formally to each member of the group and offer his thanks for saving him.
