My posts on Scribd or on the Mailing List is for whoever has the resources to make the most of them for the site (and for general P&P interest, of course). Just freely take the stuff, and if you feel hosting it on your server is most optimal, that would be great. If you feel I could use more info on that kind of thing, I would greatly appreciate any advice. <br>

<div>My default scanner settings are oriented more toward high-resolution results; I have several hard-drives and TBs of space, so file-size takes a second-place concern for me, although I still prefer a smaller one that accomplishes/bears the same results. I suppose I end up doing things the hard way right now when it comes to really getting image-PDFs down to a truly small size. I should create a specific profile when planning to send a PDF over the internet. The final result for "Tower" was about 5MB (and I could have gotten it smaller, actually: I just speedily used the ones I sized for the Word version), but the original one was over a QUARTER GIG because of the resolution/size settings (crazy!). I would assume,though, that if one was to reduce the size (and technically, at least) the quality of an image that it would be better to start with an image of high quality to begin with. This is basically why my scanner settings are where they are, with higher DPI to soak up all the sharpness and color that I reasonably can (even though there are higher settings).</div>
<div>By the way, I e-mailed Wout a few days ago; I'm sure he's a busy guy, and I wouldn't want to rush anyone; I inquired about the optimal way to send submitted posts for possible future formatting for the site, and I'm concerned about larger file sizes, like map-files. Thats the reason I signed up for Scribd, so that he and others could access larger stuff for the P&P site. I was wondering if you could share your experiences with submitting posted material to the site. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.<br>
