[PnP] pnp Digest, Vol 161, Issue 1 - named magic & thanks for the page

 Thanks for the missing page - hope I can attach it to my files - its information is rational & a good guide.

I once spent several days casting random rolls for magic items as treasures. Out of about 60+ items, I rolled one special, named item. The ironic thing is - no one who is a hero will want it - it is Kotothi-aligned, can only be activated by a trained magic-user of Chaos alignment calling for help & is likely to be of great danger to anyone not in a strong fighting group. I named it The Daoine Talisman, for it will defend Daoine Sidhe if it feels they are in danger by 3 actions: Concealing Mist, Illusion of a Mountain Giant & after a specified amount of time, will send 6 Cu Sith to attack. It's made of darkened silver & has a slimy feel to it - yuck.

I also rolled a semi-intelligent item, but haven't worked down my list enough to reach it. (I'm putting them all in a chart as a resource. Most items are, of course, potions, powders, etc.)

I definitely agree that rare items are maybe found one to a nation. But the possibilities of finding such an item are what fuel treasure hunts & make for the fun of it - right? lol.
