[PnP] pnp Digest, Vol 154, Issue 5 - why purple

I chose purple for Shadow Magic as opposed to gray because I prefer color over lack of color (the artist in me - hee hee hee). But, seriously, it seems to me that 'shadow' is a term that is neither dark or light & neither bad or good, but a combination of both. Purple is the darkest color (at least the grape purple color I consider a true purple, not the lavender-purple color usually shown), and seems a mysterious, strange & somewhat dangerous color of energy/light to have. In that way (& that I wanted to fill out the color spectrum in using my magical energy theory), purple was the perfect choice.

There is still the influence of both the white/creative energy light & the smoky/destructive energy light that can influence the purple color, as it does all the other colors. For the true motive/purpose of the spell-user, can show up in either the good/creation or evil/destruction influence of his/her spells, especially if emotions are strong, and wil influence the spell's energy display, brightening or darkening its color. Those that study magic will notice this influence & learn more about the magic-user this way, although most people seeing the spell cast may only notice a color, if they aren't too scared to look.

 Bess,

Your article on magical energy from
 Ticasi was fun.
I think you sent it to Wout so should
 be online soon?

I don't do colors that way 1 color per
 alignment.
I do visual colors but not defined by
 alignment.
 But good stuff.
 Shadow puple though?  Why not
 Gray? :)
