[PnP] A Version Two Combat System

I have been curious for quite some time about Mr. Snider's views concerning
a v2 development of the combat system. I recall reading a brief snippet in
the Errata about a 'work-in-development' series of ideas dealing with
matters of initiative/positioning/movement in combat. I think the Combat
Table is an ingeniously designed base for handling fighting
activity/maneuvers; I have worked on enhancing it over the years, trying to
'ergonomically' meld all combat activity right into it, just to see how it
could work out.
The Version Two development to the Magic System, I felt, was a naturally
necessary enhancement and consolidation of rules (both older and newer) by
the hand of the very creator of the system. I am fascinated at the idea of
this being done for the Combat System (well, any part of the game, for that
matter).
Does anyone have any thoughts or news concerning this?
