1.  Unless there is some way to get EnL back some other way all 
characters (and others) can only get their EnL back up via the daily 
energy roll.

2.  Abysmal failures are normally the only way magic users affect their 
EnL by spell casting. (Excluding the affects of attribute increase due 
to experience.) Innates use EnL, trained innates can use either as can 
Natural Magicians.
