When I was into martial arts I attended a tournament where a master put on a
live demonstration of parrying arrows with empty hands. He parried a number
of arrows but didn't try to catch them. However it was not the most powerful
bow being used in the demo - 40 lb pull or less, probably 20-30 lb pull.
Range was about 20'.
