Doing some more research on manor microeconomics -- found a few more
sources that included some rules on crafts and such, so I will be
posting a new missive soon.

In one of the things I found was that your basic riding horse needs
about 15-30 pounds of grasses, or about 7-15 pounds of grain per day
(greater amount for bigger horses).

This means that your Warhorse IV is chowing through 15FP/day in grain,
not 5FP. And even the smallest Riding I will gobble 7FP/day. If
travelling, characters must take this feed along with them, otherwise
they must stop at inns/villages along the way and pay for it. If
travelling cross-country without grain supplies, cut movement rate (and
therefore distance travelled) in HALF to allow for proper grazing time.

Horses are an expensive hobby.
